Error fixed on the blog

In the past 2 days I had an error on the blog, it said:

Fatal error: fatal flex scanner internal error–end of buffer missed in …/wp-config.php on line 79

Turns out that this line:

/** Sets up the memoryl imit for WordPress

was missing “*/” at the end. Like WTF ? :\

So a guy comes home from the movies, full of thoughts, what happens? He blogs. ’bout what? Dunno.

Feelings, thoughts do come around, but are they worthy? Sure thing.

So you have your life, you see a movie about some … stuff, and you think. ‘Bout what? ’bout how it would be if you’re in the movie (yeah, this is why movies were made, to take you inside of them). Would you make the same decisions as the lead character, or even the character that you find most “you”. If not, then what would happen?

Or, you think that “Look, this guy stands for something”, and then you look at yourself. What do you stand for? You work, you party, you go to school, and ? Erm, pause. BUT, do you have everything inside of you to change all of this? Maybe.

How can you find out? You come home on the bus, you look outside the window and .. you dream. Yepp, you think, “Ok, from tomorrow on, I’ll .. dunno, do something different, I swear I’ll do something different.” And you know what? It works. You do something different, even if it’s the most little thing, even if you do one more extra step in that day, one step from the sidewalk, one less step on the sidewalk, it is a difference. Or, you just think different, you smile when you’re no supposed to. Do you what that does? It makes others smile, those people make others smile, next thing you know, you’re on a bus with lots of people smiling, just because you smiled for whatever reason.

Crazy people may not be crazy, they just see the world different. Or artists may be crazy, because of the same reason, so who’s crazy? Those who see the world in black and white, or those who see the world in colours, or those who see both black and white and colors at the same time.

Think different, and no, this is not an Apple campaign, it’s just .. you. Live your thoughts, if not in the true world, then do it in your own, close your eyes sometimes, and dream your world, think about something out of the usual. “How would the Margit bridge in Budapest look in purple?” Pretty neat I’d say, would cheer some people up, for sure.

Do it. Not now, not today, when you feel like it.

Another great track has been released from Swedish DJ Axwell and it sounds great. The sounds in this track do resemble the sound of 2002-2003, but it is unique in it’s own way, and it is so great. Please check out the video and buy the track!

Samsung Galaxy Tab – So beautiful

I’m in love with a gadget,
And I can not help it.

I haven’t been a fan of tablets, maybe because the iPad has not been something I could use, mainly because of Apple and it’s laws. Anyway, finally we will be having soon a new tablet on the market, which is frankly, awesome.

Samsung + Android 2.2 = Perfection

Yeah sure sure, I maybe a fan boy or something, but actually I’ve just been waiting for such a thing. The Dell Strike is not my type of gadget, I do believe something like the iPad is needed, but with something different, and that’s what the Samsung Galaxy Tab is. I’m also waiting for a response from HP on this topic, they have an awesome mobile OS, webOS, and great hardware, lots of money and some knowledge, so HP please get it right.

It’s coming on 2nd September, from Berlin, Germany. Oh on that, see? Something is being launched in Europe, yes Europe, not in California, not in China, in Europe! This means a lot for us Europeans, believe me. *Thumbs up*

1R.hu Könyvjelző használata

Elérhető az 1R.hu könyvjelzője, mely segítségével egyszerűbb a hivatkozások rövidítése.

A könyvjelzőt egyszerűen bármilyen böngésző könyvjelző sávjába helyezhetjük. Használata igen egyszerű. Amikor egy hosszabb hivatkozást szeretnénk rövidíteni, az adott oldalt böngészőben megtekintjük, majd rákattintunk az elmentett könyvjelzőre.

A hivatkozást láthatjuk, ha az 1R.hu oldalára navigálunk, majd a [+]-ra kattintunk.

Példa képeben:

Csak húzzuk az 1R könyvjelző linkjét a bongészőnk könyvjelző sávjára

Rövidítéshez kattintsunk az elmentett könyvjelzőre, amely most már a 
könyvjelző sávban van

Íme az eredmény, 1 kattintás és máris megvan a rövidítés, amit
azonnal meg is oszthatunk

Pár kattintás és máris elhelyezhetjük a könyvjelzőt amit bármikor használhatunk rövidítésre. Egyszerű, nem? Még több újdonsággal hamarosan jelentkezünk.

Recently I got the idea of making a URL shortener with a .hu ccTLD. The reason was simple, Hungary doesn’t seem to have a good .hu shorterning service. Sure, you do have href.hu, but that is 4 characters long, and a two character domain would be way better. My other problem was, that href.hu doesn’t seem so useful, it only has the website.

I’ve got some friends together, Edit Erdős, Tamás Machek, Gábor Németh, Ferenc Kaszás and Károly Vass and I said, “Let’s do a URL shortening service”.

So the haunt for a domain name began. I’ve searched on google, and I came across this forum thread. It showed which 2 character domains are left. I wanted to go for y0.hu, but I realised it was already registered, so I was in doubt. Then Edit said out of nothing “What about 1r.hu, 1r – Egy rovidito”, ‘Egy Rovidito’ means ‘A Shortener’,'One Shortener’.

The registration took 2 weeks, we couldn’t wait for it, and we finally got it.

It was obvious we needed something good under the hood, so we chose the YOURLS script. It’s flexible, it has some great additions, it’s free and it can be changed easily. We worked a bit on the CSS and we came up with a simple page, we just wanted an input field for the URL, not even a Submit button (Enter is great for that). So all was created, and here we are today.

1R.hu is alive and kicking, not known yet, but it’s not yet finished. We still plan to introduce some great features, like multiple languages, ajax transformation, WordPress/Joomla/Drupal plugin, mobile phone compatible page, TCL scripts and bookmark script.
