Playing Around With WP-O-MATIC plugin for the past few days!

Hi people. I was curious to test how the wp-o-matic plugin worked in blogs. They described the plugin to be an auto posting plugin which reads the feeds of other blogs and displays the posts in my blog. So I installed the plugin 3 days back and was eager to test it. I noticed that they had an option where I could upload an OPML file which was meant to be an easier way to automate my blog rather than adding RSS feeds of other blogs manually.

I googled for OPML and found a blog which provided an OPML file with a good list of wordpress related blogs. I uploaded it through my wp-o-matic settings page and lo behold! I had around 620 blog posts added into my blog[which you should have noticed if you had visited my blog yesterday ]!

Not only that. I got many comments from the various blog owners, some thanking me for publishing their content in my blog and some scolding me for stealing content! LOL! I also received some emails [of course all the emails were hate mails!] saying that I should remove their blog’s content immediately or they would complain to my registrar and hosting company. I finished replying to them all just now saying that I did not do this intentionally and that I would delete all my 616 posts from other blogs feeds. LOL! I must say, this was a fun experience reading mails and comments………

Right now, I am into designing a few nice wordpress templates. So please bear with me. I shall try to post them asap!

A Nice And Long List Of Websites That Contain “PHP TUTORIALS”

The following list contains links to a few good websites which provide free quality php tutorials. There are websites which provide php video tutorials too. They too are listed below.

1. – This is the best place to go if you are a beginner and want easy to understand tutorials. This is a text based tutorials site. They not only have php tutorials but other programming tutorials too like HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT and so on.

2. – This is another website similar to w3schools. They have tutorials for beginners as well as advanced tutorials. They go into detail about PHP Strings, cookies, session and others. This is a website worth reading too when learning php.

3.Tutorialized.com – This is a website which lists advanced php tutorials from various other small websites and blogs. You can find a list of categories in this page which come under the title “PHP TUTORIALS”. Ad management, Calenders, email system, link indexing and other php scripts are a few categories for example. They even have a discussion forum where you can ask questions or answer others queries relating to php.

4.Goodphptutorials.com – This is a website with over 850 tutorials in php. This is a website where visitors can submit tutorials to the site by registering in the website. Almost all of the tutorials are user submitted ones. They are random tutorials but categorized.

5.Developertutorials.com – This is another site where you can find tutorials for both beginners and advanced PHP users. The advanced tutorials were of excellent quality. That is why I have listed this site here.

6. – This is a website which has both text and video tutorials. The video tutorials are free to watch online. You can buy them as DVD’s too for a sum of $19.99 for watching them offline too. The video tutorials are good in quality.

7. – This directory contains a list of websites and forums related to PHP. You can browse through the categories listed in this page and find suitable PHP tutorials and discussion forums. There are also categories for other language websites that have PHP tutorials.

8.Devshed.com – This webpage contains totally 517 php tutorials. They are non categorized but useful for website development. Go through the articles if you need to edit something in your webpages.

9.Computer-training-software.com - This website sells CD/DVD video tutorials for PHP. They charge about 70 pounds for UK customers. Price differs for each country. They provide the first 3 chapters for free so that people might buy after checking the quality of those videos.

10. – This is a website which contains only php video tutorials. They have subscription rates for 3, 6 and 12 months. There are a few free videos provided in that site too. These tutorials were found to be very useful. That is why I have added this website in the list.

First Day Online…..

After a seven month break, I am back once again to working online. Now that my final semester exams are over I need to think of a suitable career for myself! Big decisions need to be taken. I dunno what I will be doing 3 months from now. I got selected by HCL Technologies during their campus recruitment, but I doubt them giving me an offer letter due to the terrible recession attacking all major IT companies due to the “Obama FACTOR”.

So, I decided I shall be trying my luck online once again. My second year in college was a glorious period [ I earned almost $7500 in a span of 3 months! ]. Hope i am able to extend that for the rest of my life! I have a few things planned out already here. This is what I have for starters to work with.

THINGS THAT I HAVE RIGHT NOW:

-Have a Godaddy Giftcard with a balance of $26.76

-Have a Paypal account to receive money[ Cant send money, coz I have withdrawn all the money. It is with zero balance now. ]

-Have around 20 domains registered in my Godaddy account. They expire earliest in 2010.

-And last but not least, have the interest to work 24/7 online and the support of my mum.

This time I am planning to do bigger things. Things like learning a few stuff myself. Last time I worked, I got a lot of work done using freelancers as I did’nt have any coding or designing knowledge. And by that process I spent almost half the money I earned. My interest right now has jumped to 2-d animation using flash. What I intend to do after learning that, I shall reveal to you in my later posts. What I will be doing currently is that I will share with you my everyday experience whilst learning 2-d animation. Will post informative links and refer sites that help you max in learning 2-d animation.

Not only that. I have decided to turn this blog into a rich resourceful blog where you can find links to lots of free resources and free tutorials. Like photoshop tutorials, flash tutorials, and many more…….
