<p>Banyuasin, 12 Februari 2026 – Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Banyuasin mengambil langkah berani untuk mengatasi krisis air bersih di wilayahnya dengan menerapkan skema investasi swasta. Inisiatif ini diharapkan bisa memperluas jangkauan distribusi air minum layak (AMDL) hingga mencapai 80% rumah tangga dalam tiga tahun ke depan, mengurangi keluhan warga yang selama ini bergantung pada sumber air tidak terjamin seperti sungai atau sumur tercemar.</p>



<p>Program ini lahir dari urgensi data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) tahun 2025 yang mencatat hanya 52% penduduk Banyuasin menikmati akses air bersih standar. Bupati Banyuasin, Yanuarius Yustinus, menegaskan komitmennya dalam konferensi pers kemarin. &#8220;Kami tak lagi bergantung sepenuhnya pada anggaran daerah yang terbatas. Skema investasi ini menggandeng perusahaan swasta melalui public-private partnership (PPP), di mana investor membangun infrastruktur pipa dan pompa air, sementara Pemkab menyediakan lahan dan regulasi pendukung,&#8221; ujarnya.</p>



<p>Langkah ini bukan sekadar wacana. Pemkab telah menandatangani nota kesepahaman (MoU) dengan dua perusahaan air minum kemasan terkemuka, yang akan menggelontorkan investasi awal Rp150 miliar untuk membangun 10 unit instalasi pengolahan air di kecamatan rawan seperti Banyuasin I dan II. Proyek ini rencananya rampung tahap pertama pada akhir 2026, dengan target melayani 50.000 jiwa. Warga setempat pun menyambut baik; seorang ibu rumah tangga di Desa Pulau Kijang mengaku lega karena anak-anaknya tak lagi rentan diare akibat air keruh. &#8220;Ini harapan baru, asal jangan seperti proyek sebelumnya yang mangkrak,&#8221; katanya.</p>



<p>Namun, di balik antusiasme, skema ini patut diuji secara kritis. Apakah investasi swasta benar-benar pro-rakyat, atau justru jadi ladang untung semata? Pengamat tata kota dari Universitas Sriwijaya, Dr. Rina Susanti, menyoroti risiko tarif air yang melonjak jika pengawasan lemah. &#8220;PPP bisa sukses seperti di Surabaya, tapi di Banyuasin, tantangan geografis seperti banjir musiman dan lahan gambut berpotensi hambat distribusi. Pemkab harus transparan soal klausul kontrak, termasuk subsidi untuk warga miskin agar tak ada yang terpinggirkan,&#8221; tegasnya. <p>Secara lebih luas, inisiatif ini selaras dengan target Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) nomor 6 tentang air bersih dan sanitasi. Pemkab Banyuasin juga berencana integrasikan teknologi IoT untuk monitoring kualitas air secara real-time, mencegah kontaminasi logam berat dari aktivitas tambang ilegal di sekitar. Tapi, kritik tajam muncul dari aktivis lingkungan: tanpa audit independen, investasi ini berisiko jadi &#8216;greenwashing&#8217; jika sumber air baku tak dikelola berkelanjutan. Data Kementerian Kesehatan mencatat, 30% kasus diare di Sumsel tahun lalu terkait air tercemar—angka yang bisa ditekan jika proyek ini dieksekusi dengan akuntabel.</p>



<p>Pemkab optimis target 100% cakupan AMDL tercapai pada 2030, didukung dana alokasi khusus Rp50 miliar dari APBD 2026. Koordinasi dengan Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Tirta Banyuasin juga ditingkatkan untuk sinkronisasi jaringan. Bagi warga, ini peluang emas tingkatkan kualitas hidup, tapi suksesnya bergantung pada pengawasan ketat dan partisipasi masyarakat.</p>
