Human resource is a very vital function for any business and organization to survive. With proper tools and a good HR department we can turn sticky problems around, increase profits, and challenge the organization to perform and become better overall.

But the problem is?

Many organization lacks strong human resource leadership which is very essential for organizational success.

The fault may be intra-department or intra-organization. But if the human resource team has weak leadership then there’s complete chance that the whole organization will trample down because if HR team leadership is weak then there’s a very good chance that HR within the whole organization is also weak. And if that’s the case then you’ve to do something about it. I’m sure you don’t want to see your organization trampling down in front of your own eyes.

Strong Human resource leadership is the strongest puzzle of any organization’s success so we can’t miss it. We have to craft a strong HR leadership within organization to make our organization better overall. But HR needs both leaders and leadership. Within industry we have some amazing HR leaders but the problem is they can’t work for you. You’ve to step up and become a bold leader to help your own organization.

But the question is?

How to become a bold Leader?

Here’s 6 ways to become a bold HR leader:

1: Take care of your people: If your employees, colleagues need your help then be there for them, provide them support that they need to become better.

2: Look for ways to innovate: Try to become a creative and innovative guy. Find new ways to compensate your people. Find new strategies to recruited, promote, and increase revenue. When your people see you coming up with new fresh creative ideas, they naturally be more interested in listening you at other times too.

3: Be an example or create example: Do what you want your employees to do and do it how you want your employees to do it. Behave as you want your employees to behave, but same time also keep in mind that your role is different from your employees.

4: Surround yourself with right people: Train for skill, hire for fit, and if opportunity presents itself, then hire people who are better than you. Be prepared for new peoples to come in so they immediately feel connected to organization.

5: Make Choice: When it really counts, and you are pressured to make a hard choice, you’re going to forever remember what you chose to do. It doesn’t matter why you have to make that choice all it matters what choice you make. Remember leaders always make the tough choices.

6: Learning: Never stop learning. Learning is the process that never ends no matter how much you know but you still find that there are lots of rooms for improvement. So keep learning, its best quality of a best leader.

It’s time to try something new, if what you’ve been doing all these times are not giving you results that you are seeking. Then it’s call for switch. Choose above tips and move forward. Soon you’ll see you are moving closer to becoming a better leader.

A healthy compensation and benefits policy is one of the most important Human Resource (HR) policies. A well planned compensation and benefits program promises great returns for a company.

Workers have a right to adequate compensation for their labor. On the other hand, benefits are provided by the employer, as a value apart from salary as a return for employee’s contribution to the organization’s health.

Compensation can be in the form of wages or tips and is based on variable pay or fixed base pay. Depending on the role of the person, base pay is adjusted, while performance determines the value of variable pay. A balanced mix of both forms of pay results in an efficient and a motivated workforce.

Benefits have traditionally been in the form of retirement plans, insurance plans and vacation. Today, employee stock ownership plans and flexible benefit plans are gaining ground.

Many behavioral scientists like Herzberg, Maslow and Likert have commented on the various motivations behind a worker’s contribution to the organization. They all have agreed on the theory of economic man, the one who works more for an enhanced compensation. However, there is a limit to how much one can work for money. Hence, the concept of benefits and more importantly, intangible form of benefits gains ground. These benefits, which serve as major motivators, include:

i. Appreciation from boss

ii. Nice workplace environment

iii. Transparent and conducive environment for promotions

Tangible benefits such as holiday pay, medical expenses reimbursement, profit sharing and bonuses.

Various roles engender in a successful compensation and benefits plan include:

It has been seen that a successful compensation plan enables businesses to attract the best talent from the industry.

Further, a well thought out and transparent benefits regime can lead to effective utilization of this human capital.

Healthier Work Place Environment: Better alignment of the goals of an employee and the organization and thus, significant improvement in morale of the workforce.

Reduced Levels of Attrition: This also involves retaining quality workers and encourages new employees to commit to the organization for the long term.

Drives Personnel Cost: It links to a wider set of HR functions and optimizes personnel cost. This enhances perception and communication within the organization.

Refining Key Skills: Rewards exceptional employee performance. It also helps manage performance of workers

The above can be aided by an apt compensation and benefits software adopted by the HR department. Software for compensation and benefits manages the identification, development and implementation of the compensation policies of a firm. The benefits of such tailor-made software can be enumerated as:

Introduces transparency into HR

Monitors the job market

Keeps personnel expenses in check

Optimizes the personnel budget of the organization

Aids development of new compensation and benefits components

Helps implementation of individual salary review as well as mass salary review

Follows set standards and maintains organizational fairness

An example of employee bonus and incentive plans can include cash incentives based on a percentage of the employee’s gross salary or an employee’s share. The shares are based on a pool of funds earmarked for distribution to employees whose performance resulted in the organization’s success. Another illustration of a compensation plan may include group health-care benefits, wherein some employers pay a large portion of the total monthly premium, with another portion of the premium being deducted from the employee’s pay packet.

A well designed compensation and benefit HR process supports the effectiveness of a competitive organization and helps augment its position as a thought leader.

It’s high time you’ve realized that Social Media is completely unpredictable. You can gain tons of customers by just sharing a simple story or you can ruin your whole reputation by posting just few unselected, unsuited words.

In social media, you can control what you say and how you say, so all you have to do is to stick with a prominent way of delivering your message always.

Remember: Medium is the message. How you say your message, how you share your message is what going to give you results.

What you say doesn’t affect that much than how you say it. If your story really connects with your desired audience then I’m sure they’ll hear what you’ve to say, they’ll do what you ask them to do. But first you’ve to reach to their heart with your message; you’ve to connect with them. After all social media is not a place for promotion or selling, it’s a place where people connect to people, where people sell to people, where people talk to people.

Have you ever noticed how very few companies thrive on social media? Whereas, people like Mari smith and Chris Brogan thrive.

Do you know why? Because they know the real truth behind social media. They know that social media is not about pitching nasty sells messages; it’s about connecting with people. And that’s the reason why they are so popular on social media, why they get so many referrals from social media, why there business is successful on social media.

If you also want to become like them, if you also desire success for your business then you’ve to do what they are doing.

Here’s what they are doing so you can follow it and reach to same position where they are now.

“If you want to reach to a destination which is already travelled by someone then the best way to reach there is just follow the footprint. _Romy Singh”

And that’s what you going to do now.

Serve the Community

Don’t just think about yourself and your business. Don’t be selfish and only look for your own needs. You’re here to serve people not yourself. You’ve to contribute, you’ve to share something that help people and it’s possible that may not necessarily help you. Becoming a helping guy and sharing what helps other is the best way to connect and gain trust. And that’s what going to make you successful on social media. Keep serving your community with content that really helps them not just content that only talks about buy this and that and that.

Learn From Your Community

Learning is a process that never stops no matter how knowledgeable you become, you still have million things to learn.

Where you’re at top end of your community or just started your business you can learn something from anyone if you pay attention. Every day is new day for learning something. Every person is a teacher in their own way. All you’ve to do is pay attention and extract your lesson and grow. The more you grow the better you get. The better you get the more responses you’ll get on social media.

Provide Something of Value

What you offer that others don’t? What you do that others don’t? If you don’t know the answer to those question you better hurry up and find out something. Because remaining on same league with others not going to give you chance to come up so you’ve cut yourself out and think about something that separates you from others.

You can offer coupons, discounts, freebies and other stuffs to large your reach and grow your effectiveness.

Interact With Your Audience

If you have a crowd looking at you, waiting for you to speak and you are standing there silently. What you think you’ll get if you act like this and only concentrate on building audience not keeping them. Remember; if there’s a door to come in then there’s also a door to go out so don’t make your audience to use that door. Spend time with your audience, communicating with them, talk with them and they will be very happy, they’ll spread words about you how good you are and blah blah blah, which will leads into brand building.

These 4 social media business marketing tips will help in growing your reach as well as effectiveness but if you use them properly?

What’s your way of using social media for your business? Share your story with us in comments.

I am generally a very cool customer. That’s not to say that I don’t worry about things, it just means I deal with it calmly. The first time I was laid off, I told my wife about it and assured her I had a plan for dealing with it right away. Read The Rest….

Are you looking for a job? Have you been looking for a job for a little while or a long while? Do you know how to look for a job? Do you have any idea what to do first? If you are like my clients, job search is a daunting task that, for many, is frustrating, overwhelming, and on some days, almost impossible. Read The Rest….

Over a year ago, I was invited to a friend’s house. This friend is a creative public speaker and was preparing one of his first big public speaking. He wanted to test it on couple of friends, and I was one of them.

The evening was designed to find out how he speaks and rate it based on our expectation and enjoyment. My world always runs on words and me being a creative person was an added advantage. His expectation from me was very high. He was expecting some really difference making advice’s to make his first public speaking a turn over.

I decided to be frank and tell him the truth how I feel about his speaking talent but deep down I know how it feels when someone says bad things about your art on your face. I know that feeling very well because I’ve dealt with it many times. So for me it was no big deal but for my friend who’s standing in front of crowd first time, it was something different. It can turn him into a good speaker or can discourage him to quit.

Instead of pointing out what was missing in his speech, I decided to give a speech myself and asked him to mark the difference. The key was keeping your readers as well as crowd engaged with your speaking or writing. You can’t just go on and on with reading your pages. You’ve to entertain your readers and crowd, you’ve to engage. And that’s what makes speaking, writing, any other art difference making.

My speech was more centric to keeping crowds attention with me. And for that I used to include sayings, quotes wherever I get a chance. I used to make hand movements, tell jokes and many other things which entertains the crowd and makes them to keep listening without getting bored. My aim was to deliver my message in most engaging and understanding way.

As I finished my speaking my friend stood up and said thanks to me. He said, “I got what you are trying to tell me. I completely forgot about the crowd and kept thinking only about me.” But now I got my weak chain and that is I’ve to keep my crowd engaged with me. I then shared the following drivers that he can use to keep the engagement with the crowd.

1: Watch your tone

“Don’t forget what you say not affects people very much as compared to how you say it.”

The way of putting everything in front of crowd matters most, so you’ve take care that how you put everything out there. If your tone is harsh then you will lose the interest of people as well your respect. Just think of yourself as a teacher with bunch of students who take over the minute you appear to be losing control. You don’t need to crack the whip, but you do have to keep your student focused. And same goes to speaking.

2: Understand People

As a speaker, or manager, or writer we must understand what interest’s people because that’s the thing they will do without complaining and give their best to do it in best way. Try to find people’s like, what people wants to hear, what type of work your employers like to do, what kind of stories your readers like to read and blah blah….

If you tell people to do what they really love to do then it’s definite that you’ll get better results.

3: Serve

It takes more than words to make people take any action.

You just can’t tell people to do this and that and that because that’s not the right way if you really want to get results. You’ve to be part of their work. You’ve to offer hand when they need it. You’ve to serve them without any selfishness. And that’s what encourages people to do your work, take your action.

Just adding one line “If you need any help then don’t forget I’m here feel free to come and ask.” will change the whole result.

A great manager, writer, or speakers serve their own crowds by their own way.

4: Encourage

We all human have tendency to get discouraged very easily. If we are doing our work and the result are not up to our expectation we get discouraged, if we failed at something then we get discourage, we get discouraged all the time. And same happen to your employer, your audience, your crowd. If you don’t keep encouraging them to face ups and downs then they will end up on something worst. So it’s your job to keep encouraging them because you got the talent, you got the power.

5: 4’E of Better Engagement

People desperately want their leaders, influencers to:

Envision a clear and bold future.

Empathize with them and understand their weakness and strengths.

Empower them to do meaningful work.

Enhance their skills and abilities.

If you do those 4 things, your employer, your crowd, your audience will love you and stay with you forever.

I hope you put all these suggestion into action, so you able to see their result with your own eyes.

Generating (or making) business is solely depends on making connections with people or (company) who can get profit from your products or services. Mostly a person attracts to business by content, whether via articles or advertising.

Think You Should Launch Your Product At A Conference? Maybe… Or Maybe Not

After couple of days and started seeing lot of startups at TechCrunch disturbs (Number of startups, competitive startup, Yet to come more), I can count the names of dozens of the them out of several dozen I saw. I can easily memorize that I saw them for a little while. It will slowly fade away after few days until one of them do something well.

A Four Letter Word About Job Search

Fear was the name of my First Blog post I ever wrote. At the very start my first post took several hours to write it because I had lot of fear regarding blogging. How to write, what to write, what to say what not say this are all the question were going in my mind.

Your Worst Job – Ever?

Some of you may ask what made you strong. What didn’t kill you? Or makes you better person. Despite knowing the fact that it was a Character Building experience, if have to do it all over again. I had left the job without giving prior notice.

People often ask me what my working schedule look like. This is always a very hard question to answer, because I’m not a very structured guy. But I see value in creating routines, especially in morning.

You may wonder, why?

For years, I wanted to wake up early; I wanted to beat my alarm clock. It seems like almost all successful people start get going before the sunlight, and I desire to be one of them. But when my alarm clock goes off, all my good intentions are not enough to pull me out of my bed.

I clearly know the benefits of waking up early. I made plans to wake up early and work but because of lack in discipline my plans went off.

The person hitting the snooze button wasn’t the same inspired person who had set the alarm the night before.

When I realized that waking up early and getting started with pending works is all about tricking our body and our sleepy mind, everything changed.

This can be challenge, because tricking our body as well as our mind is tough.

So here are three tips to help you in waking up early and complete the pending works.

Alarm Clock Trick

The hardest part of the morning is simply getting out of the bed. An alarm clock across the room is an old trick which doesn’t work anymore, and also I don’t want to wake up my whole family. So I have my iphone next to me with soft alarm that I can turn off easily and quickly.

To keep myself away from falling back to bed, I have another alarm across the room set for few minutes later.

This alarm clock is extremely loud; if I missed to turn it off quickly then it will jolt down my whole family. Even my sleepy mind and foggy eyes understands that, the fear of my mom and dad makes me to take those first few steps out of the bed and turn off the alarm.

Create Your Routine

Now you are out of the bed, then get fresh and create your routine for the day. I know routines are not fun, but it’s the only way to get your work completed and save some time.

Routines are not creative, or imaginative. And frankly speaking, “I hate doing them.” But routines can do lots of good things, if we can put them into action.

Having a well constructed routine in the morning is a great way to start the day, because it gets you going in the right direction and saves lots of time. Plus, it allows you to focus on other things throughout the whole day.

The feeling of being left behind is painful as well as stressful. A morning routine can bring you peace as well as gives you the direction for whole day.

Make it a Habit

The reality of routines is that they are very quirky and that they really work for the people who practice them.

And that’s the point: Try to create a system that works for you, helps you to get your work done and use it.

What’s important is not what your routine looks like, but to have one and practice it daily. Everyone is different, everyone’s life is different, but creating your own process for starting your day is helpful.

So follow the above plan and win your fight against your alarm clock.

Despite people in their 30s being in highest demand, a 55-year old with a steady employment history is easier for recruiters to place in a new job than a 30-year-old job hopper, according to survey.

How to Know When Your HR Needs More Help

Once you’ve figured out what roles your company needs to fill, you create a job description, post it to a few job boards, screen with cover letters and resumes, interview by phone and in-person, then hire the perfect candidate. Simple, right?

Should Your Intuition Influence Your Hiring Decision?

You stare at a resume or walk out of an interview and you have a feeling about this person. Your gut instinct is a firm or maybe a definite “No”.

Should you always “go with your gut” when hiring a new employee? What’s the harm?

When Cultures Collide: Be Aware of Assumptions

Lots of times when we hear the word culture, we think of diversity. Fair enough. Diversity is a specialized way of thinking about and addressing culture. This note is not about diversity. It is about assumptions and how assumptions shape our organizational culture.

How Do You Deal With Stress?

I am generally a pretty cool customer. That’s not to say that I don’t worry about things, it just means I deal with it pretty calmly. The first time I was laid off, I told my wife about it and assured her I had a plan for dealing with it right away.

HR automation gives more power to the employees. Since a happy employee translates to a robust company, the benefits associated with HR automation software are evident. The primary benefit of HR automation solutions is the reduction in overhead costs. Besides, the obvious benefit in terms of time savings cannot be over emphasized. HR automation solutions are not meant for MNCs alone, and can work wonders for small, medium as well as large scale businesses.

Such solutions are usually self-service applications and come in tailor-made as well as open source packages. As per specific needs and size of operations, organizations can choose and integrate the automation applications into their functioning.

The various benefits of HR automation can be enumerated as below:

Improvement in Productivity: Automation of tasks leads to the elimination of tedious administrative processes, in turn leading to time savings. A comparison between current tasks performed by employees and the potential elimination of these tasks will yield a picture of productivity improvements.

Saving in Overhead Costs: Automation solutions such as Recruitment Management Software and HRTraining Software can save costs on items such as mailing, printing and outsourcing. Fees paid for outsourcing of recruitment services can be curbed, and these solutions encourage efficiency in internal recruiters, and also aid employee referrals. The HR software helps in streamlining of these activities and does away with a lot of redundant paperwork. The self-service module is expected to reduce administrative costs by offering employees online access so they can manage benefits, time off, training, and other information that once required a phone call to the HR department.

Reduction in Error: Erroneous payment of compensation and incentives is reduced. Various documents are brought under one roof, thus enabling ease of access and reduction in confusion.HR software also maintains records effectively and caps the work flow.

Employee Engagement: Employee turnover is reduced as a result of increase in productivity and elimination of redundant administrative activities. This in turn reduces associated costs of hiring and training fresh employees. Enrolment of employees in various schemes such as insurance related ones can be automated. This leads to employee satisfaction by doing away with cumbersome procedures.

Training Benefits: Self-service applications help in capacity building across hierarchies and bring the skill set of the employee base up to speed. Training modules can be accessed as per individual requirements. Training documents can be made more interactive. Standardized training processes can be put in place.

Recruitment Benefits: Apart from saving of associated overhead costs, recruitment management software can improve recruitment activities with the aid of applications that analyze resumes and match available talent to organization needs better.

The following case study shows us how the use of HR Automation Software made a much needed difference is the productivity of the organization- The HR Automation Curve – Sagespecialized.com The case study makes it clear that the HR software provides the ability to proactively monitor work force compliance, certifications, policies, and costs.
