As I sat there in English class,

I stared at the girl next to me

She was my so called 'best friend '

I stared at her long, silky hair,

and wished she was mine

But she didn't notice me like that,

and I knew it...

After class, she walked up to me and

asked me for the notes

she had missed the day before

I handed them to her

She said 'thanks' and left...

I want to tell her, I want her to know

that I don't want to be just friends,

I love her but I'm just too shy,

The phone rang...On the other end,
it was her...She was in tears,
mumbling on and on about how her
love had broke her heart
She asked me to come over because
she didn't want to be alone, So I did
As I sat next to her on the sofa,
I stared at her soft eyes, wishing she was mine
After 2 hours, one Drew Barrymore movie,
and three bags of chips, she decided to go home
She looked at me, said 'thanks' and left...
I want to tell her, I want her to know that

I love her but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why...

One fine day she walked to my locker
"My date is sick" she said, "hes not gonna go well",
I didn't have a date, and in 7th grade,
we made a promise that if neither of us had dates,
we would go together just as 'best friends'
So we did...That night, after everything was over,
I was standing at her front door step
I stared at her as She smiled at me
and stared at me with her crystal eyes
Then she said- "I had the best time, thanks!" and left...
I want to tell her, I want her to know

A day passed, then a week, then a month
Before I could blink, it was graduation day
I watched as her perfect body floated like an angel
up on stage to get her diploma
I wanted her to be mine-but
she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it
Before everyone went home,
she came to me in her smock and hat,
and cried as I hugged her
Then she lifted her head from my shoulder
and said- 'you're my best friend, thanks' and left...

Now I sit in the pews of the church
That girl is getting married now
and drive off to her new life,
married to another man
I wanted her to be mine,
but she didn't see me like that,
and I knew it...
But before she drove away,
she came to me and said 'you came! '
She said 'thanks' and left...
I want her to know that
I don't want to be just friends,
I love her but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why...

Years passed, I looked down at the coffin
of a girl who used to be my 'best friend'.
At the service, they read a diary entry
she had wrote in her high school years
This is what it read:
"I stare at him wishing he was mine;
but he doesn't notice me like that,
and I know it. I want to tell him,
I want him to know that
I don't want to be just friends,
I love him but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why...
I wish he would tell me he loved me ! "

Yesterday I came across a gem on the road,

Walking on my way, I stopped for a look

It was a rare one, I had to admit

And filled with admiration, i sat next to it.

A boy he was was of about eleven,

A glowing face, and eyes of heaven

In his soft hands he held some fowers

Thinking I was a buyer, I saw in him joy shower

My stare and silence made him tense

As if the last ray of hope came to end

Lost deep in thoughts, I kept my stare,

But he kept silent, Had he nothing to share?

Now holding a coin thrown by a passer,

He ran to him saying,"Sir! Iam not a beggar!"

"Please take one of these", he said.

And in his soft voice he sold a flower

My eyes with tears i couldnot hold,

My heart with pain it would explode,

My mouth was numb, lost of voice

Is there nothing that would make him rejoice?

Are you hungry too? he said,

Is your mummy ill too? he inquired,

But you don't look poor! His eyes met mine,

I shook my head, they lost their shine

Where were his giggles? Where was that heavenly smile?

Where were the bright clothes? where were those little shoes?

Where was his bag? where were his books?

Where was that innocence? why this matureness?

Where was that naughtiness? Why this seriousness?

Those crystal clear eyes wanted an answer!

I wish I could tell you O! precious gem,

Your place is not these roads,

That your face is made for smiles not gloom,

That your divine shine can never fade.

તારા પ્રેમમાં છું થઇ ગયો પાગલ,
એટલું પણ ખબર નથી કે આ પ્રેમ છે કે આકર્ષણ્…

તારી જોડે પ્રેમ છે કહેતાં મગજ ધોકા મારે,
પ્રેમ નથી એવું માની લેતાં દિલ ધક્કે ધબકારે…

પ્રેમ છે કે આકર્ષણ શોધવામાં દિવસો બહું વિતાવ્યાં,
પછી દિલ એ મગજ ને વશ કર્યું એવા દિવસો પણ આવ્યાં…

પપ્પા-મમ્મી પ્રેમ વિરોધી,પણ મિત્રો પાનો ચઢાવે,
પ્રેમ-આકર્ષણનો કોયડો ત્યારે દિલ ને મગજ દુખાવે…

લાગણીઓને પૂછ્યું તો એ પ્રેમ ની સાક્ષી પૂરાવે,
વિચારોને છેડતાં એ આકર્ષણ છે એમ મનાવે…

દિલ ને મગજની દોસ્તી કરાવી નિર્ણય એક
લેવડાવ્યો તને જ પૂછી લઉં એવું કહીને ઝગડો એમનો ટાળ્યો…

આજે પૂછું-કાલે પૂછું કરતાં મોકા બહુ ગુમાવ્યાં,
મારી બેદરકારીએ બીજા ઘણાં જણ ફાવ્યાં…

દિલની વાત હોટ સુધી આવિને અટકે છે, આંશુ બની આંખ માંથી કોઈ ટપકે છે,

ખુશ નશિબ છે એ જેને ચાહત મળે છે, મોહ્બ્બત ની તલાશ માં હજી કેટલાક ભટકે છે.

મારી આંખો મા પરણય ના જામ છલકાય છે ચંદ્ર ની ચાંદની પણ જુવો કેવી શરમાય છે

મારુ તારુ આ મીલન અમર બની જશે ગગન નો ચાંદ પણ અજે કેવો હરખાય છે.

તમારી મુંગી આંખોમાં જવાબોના જવાબો છે છતાં બેચેન થૈને કેટલા

હૂં પ્રશ્ન પુંછું છું મને પણ થાય છે કે પ્રેમમાં હું આ કરું છું શું

દરેક દરિયો સમજે છે કે મારી પાસે પાણી અપાર છે,
