Victoria Fenner's ideal streetscape includes music.

"Street Music Manifesto" is part of the project Soul of the Street, a project of The Factory Media Arts Centre in Hamilton, about arrival, displacement and transformation on James Street North, the city's oldest street.

Victoria composed five different series of audio pieces for SOS, which were installed in wooden boxes with headphones along the street.

She chose street music as a theme because she wanted listeners to think about streetscapes in other parts of the world to those in North American cities, especially Hamilton.

"Meeting Place" is part of the Capital Resoundings Suite, an extensive project where I recorded, wrote about, and composed poems from the Ottawa soundscape at the turn of the Millenium.
