Old Country Buffet

To celebrate dad’s 65th birthday, we had breakfast at Old Country Buffet.

I have a real soft spot for the restaurant chain. Leah and I took Marcel there years ago to expose him to a slice of Americana: the all you can eat buffet.

I’ll never forget the look of amusement and horror on his face when an elderly woman in a jogging suit and pink curlers sat down at a table next to us.

“They really do exist,” he whispered.

Indeed.

New Lomo

I have a new Lomo!

My old Lomo lived at the bottom of my camera bag and got tossed around one too many times. Over a span of 11-years, I ran 65-rolls of film through that camera.

It served me well.

Drivers License

For the third time in my life — and the second time in Maryland — I had to go through the nightmarish experience of getting my license.

The Maryland DMV remains terribly inefficient and unnecessarily time consuming.

Letting you in

How will I ever be able to ask those that stand in front of my lens to lower their guard and let me in, if I can’t do so myself?

Pure. Natural. True. That’s what my I want my photographic work to be.
