OK. I've mentioned before that one of my favorite stations, SoJO 104.9, is annoying now that their broadcasting so weakly in HD. Since the strength in Philly's southeastern burbs is so crappy, it is constantly switching between the analog and digital (mostly analog but it grabs the digital for a few seconds at a time here & there). I don't even think the proposed HD signal increase will help it in these areas.

They do play some good songs so I'm willing to put up with it but now the HD and analog signals aren't even synced up. I mean, they are several seconds apart! And it's been like that for, gosh, at least a week. Maybe even since they got back up & running from the lightning strike.

My point--and I do have one--is that if you demonstrably can't get the thing to work, for the love of God turn it off!

I see it's already been posted here once, but here's another from here in Northeast Ohio.

I know we don't like to get into countdowns too much on here, but I thought Casey Kasem's last American Top 20 was worthy of a spot.
For those who don't know, Casey quietly hosted his last AT20 this past 4th of July weekend, after 39 years. The AT40 70's and 80's countdowns will still air, but no new shows will be produced.

So, here ya go. From WMVX-FM/Cleveland on Sunday from 9pm to Midnight, in 3 easy-to-burn-to-CD parts.

musicradio77 on "WBPM's Annual 4th of July Fireworks Show - 7/5/09 - COMING SOON"

Last week, the day after the 4th of July, I didn't see any fireworks, because I went to Cantine Field last Saturday and saw the fireworks and it was great, the finale was nice. 1010 WINS did a Macy's 4th of July fireworks show when it was simulcast on NBC in honor of the 400th anniversary of the Hudson River. I didn't have a chance to record that aircheck from 1010 WINS last week, but I ended up recording that aircheck the next day.

This entire fireworks show was held at the Roudout Landing in Kingston, NY where WBPM was held an All-American Barbeque and Music Festival, in addition to that, a fireworks show was put out together with music to blend the entire show, just like the one at Walt Disney World and Disneyland where they had a fireworks show that put together with the music.

I didn't get a chance to see the fireworks in Kingston last week, but I ended up recording it and I will be planning to post an aircheck soon, because I still don't have a computer and this is my second month in a row that I still didn't have a computer. I hope it will get it back soon after they will install a block on there to avoid going to inapproptiate sites. After if this is done, I will be posting it. This fireworks show lasted 30 minutes.

The music you hear on this fireworks show featuring "Hound Dog" by Elvis Presley, "ABC" by the Jackson 5 with Michael Jackson, RIP, "God Bless America" by Celine Dion, "God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood and others.

I will be posting the whole show very soon, the show has presented by Legion Fireworks and presented by WBPM. Randy Turner, the host of the "Music Blimp" did an excellent job for the entire show. Maybe I will be playing it for "barrisfan", "XxXFlashXxX", "MattBAA", "peppertree", "jdmatthews" and many others who hasn't heard this show before.

Joseph_Gallant on "CTV/Globemedia To Keep "A" Windsor On The Air"

CTV/Globemedia has announced that in the wake of Monday's (July 6th) decision by the CRTC to "enhance" the Local Improvement Programming Fund (LIPF) for the 2009/2010 TV season, the company's "A" outlet in Windsor, CHWI, will remain on the air until the scheduled end of it's current license term in August of 2010.

Previously, it had been threatened with being shut down this August 31st, a full year before the license was to expire.

The company is also seeking CRTC permission to convert CKNX Wingham to a 24/7 simulcast of CFPL London, and has also announced that it will "review it's options" concerning CKX in Brandon, which is oddly enough a CBC affiliate.

My take: This gives them time to try to make a deal to sell these stations.

Hello Everyone
New to this site and was wondering if anyone has had any problems with the Dynamax MX series losing audio on the mike after module was removed aand reinstalled for cleaning???
