I’ve had him since I was 6. He’s my oldest and truest, and at so many times he’s been my only friend.

I just realized that I won’t know what to do when I don’t have him anymore.

I could try to find something small and squeaky that won’t remind me of a dog. A hamster. Or a chinchilla. Something cute.

But quite honestly, I’m too loud for small pets1. Forget my family being too loud2 I’d scare the poor things to death. And the way I keep my own living space cleaned? I should be arrested for human negligence. I couldn’t imagine how badly any unfortunately scurrily creature would languish in squallid conditions.

I could focus my attentions on my cats. I do have 6 of them…I guess I would end up doing that anyway. I don’t know, really. I’ve never had to deal with anything…
