Race and Rai are the two most popular, but then I also get called Rosita, Rosario and many more! When I first got called "Hey Race" I think my answer might have been "where." Okay, I digress...

So I gave this new "technique" a shot and I'm pretty pleased with the results! Once I figured out all the working parts it was pretty easy to make! It was really nice to finally meet Shelli Gardner in person and get to speak with her and get our picture taken. Unfortunately I've been pretty spacey lately and I forgot my camera! I know, what a duh I am! But I used my cell phone to take some pictures which I share on Facebook, My picture with Shelli will be coming from Annette who saved the day for me! Here is the "Dream Night" photo album which show some demonstrators samples as well as some of the projects that we made. I will also post up my pictures as well.

Hello stamping friends! Well, if you've been wondering where I've been, the Spring cleaning is still on-going. That is between designing a logo for my sister's dog walking company in Florida, 'The Bark of Boca." Her website isn't live yet, otherwise I would include a link. Nothing like a shameless plug! LOL

With all the cleaning, I am re-arranging my craft room and selling off a lot of my card stock, stamp sets and stamping supplies. You know, I have to make room for new stuff!! Out with the old, in with the new!

I bought a bunch of those Jetmax organizer cubes, of course using weekly coupons from those big craft stores...the best way to go on a budget! I've only put 9 of them together and filled 7 of them already with card stock and DSP! They are actually pretty cool since you can get so many different variations of the cubes, so I've mixed and matched. My Sizzix dies are in a glass door cube organizer, my clear stamps are in a bin, well you get the picture. Once I get it all "picture worthy" I will post some pictures for you.

If you're interested, I've posted a lot of old stamp sets on ebay. The sets I've recently posted are all unmounted, never used. There is a button under the Odds & Ends bar on the right to take you to my listings, as well as a button on my Marketplace link.

So I haven't posted any stamped creations in a while. Here is a Thank you card I made for Lisa.

The stamp is from the "Thank you Kindly" stamp set.

A reminder, June 30th will be the final day of the current catalog. The new catalog will go into effect on July 1st. At this point in time it doesn't look like I can go to convention this year, so I won't be getting an advance copy of the catalog or getting any goodies to share with you! I'll be waiting for my fellow demonstrators to provide me with updates so that I can share them with you.

(Running 4 miles this morning might also have something to do with it!) I'm just so happy that it will be nice here for Easter this year!

Last night I had this idea and I just had to put it to work. I was up past midnight to finish this! I've seen a fair share of paper crafted Easter Bonnets out there this year, but I haven't seen one made with the Sweet Treat cup! Yes, I know mine is pretty plain. What can I say, I was tired. I thought about embossing the paper after I had put it all together. Oh well, I'll do that on the next one.

Here I've used not only the Sweet Treat cup, but I've also used Pretty in Pink card stock, the Scallop Circle Bigz die, the Pretties kit, Circle Scissors (to cut the opening for the treat cup), Pretty in Pink Gingham ribbon (not offered in current catalog), and a Rhinestone brad (Circle Fire). I sponged the edges of the bonnet with Pretty in Pink.

A Happy Easter to You and Yours!

I cannot believe that I have started and stopped this post about 5 times in the past 7 days! You see, besides loving to create and stamp, I like to garden. Organic vegetable gardening to be specific. I know, I know I sound like a total geek. But the sense of accomplishment of growing your own vegetables from seed is so cool. Not to mention the wonderful taste of your home grown vegetables! Ah and the tomatoes taste like tomatoes! So I've been setting up my grow lights and seed starting systems and I've already seen results. I am growing 6 different tomatoes, two different kinds of peppers, eggplant, beans, lettuce, swiss chard, chives, thyme and basil to name a few. I'm also growing impatiens to border my deck in the backyard.

Besides tending to my seedlings, and I hate to be all cliché, but I've also been busy doing some "Spring Cleaning." So I have found several retired papers and decided to put them up for sale...contact me today to get more information, pictures, or to purchase.

Spring is almost here! We've had so much rain and dreary weather here it's been terrible. It can become very depressing. I really don't know how those people live in that part of Alaska where its so dark all the time. But the past few days have brought beautiful Spring-like weather here with temperatures reaching to 70°F today!! Yippee!! This makes me just so happy!!!

I've seen some crocuses trying to peek up from the ground, but I fear they might be popping up too soon! Poor little plants! But soon enough it will be warm enough to garden! I love seeing flowers in bloom!

Since my "run in" with the computer I've been going over old files. I know this is the time of the year that couples begin preparing for weddings in June (why is June so popular?!) I found this card among some old pictures. This is probably the second wedding card I've ever made. I wanted it to be special for the bride and groom so I made it a bit different. Take a look. Hopefully you'll think that my style has improved since then. (This card was made in 2003.)

This is the front, with the card folded closed. I used Night of Navy card stock base. There is silver embossing powder on the Whisper White Card stock layer.

Part way open.

I just might have to share with you the first cards I made...we can all laugh together over them! Yes, they are that bad!!

Can anyone tell me the name of the wedding stamp set I used on this card? The first 3 people to email me with the correct answer will have their choice of the following retired un-mounted stamp sets (first come, first choices):

Live Like You Mean It (2008, 2 step stampin'; set of 7)
A Little Bit of Happiness (2008, set of 4)
Happy Occasions (2005, set of 4)

Until next time!
