I’m loving the midseason episodes of AMC’s great show, THE WALKING DEAD that are happening every Sunday, the drama gets more and more intense, and whenever those zombies show up, there seems to be no escaping them, those are some determined, persistent mothaf*ckas. I suspect Shane may meet his end by the end of his season because the actor who plays the role, Joe Bernthal is in talks to join another new TNT series, L.A. NOIR, which is produced by Frank Darabont who godfathered THE WALKING DEAD‘s 1st season before he got booted.
So since Shane may be gone soon, the show needs a new a-hole, a new antagonist, and AMC has announced that David Morrissey (The Deal, Basic Instinct 2) will play Brian Blake, THE GOVERNOR, in Season 3 which will start filming in Atlanta this Spring…

THE GOVERNOR is a character that was part of Kirkman’s original comic book series. He’s the leader of a small settlemtn of survivors, place called Woodbury. And he becomes the chief antagonist for Rick Grimes and his group.
Those of us fans of the show notice that Grimes’ group are startin’ to deal with what I’d like to call ‘the others’, survivors with questionable intents. Just like my other favorite old show, Lost also had ‘the others’.

THE WALKING DEAD season 3 will have 16 episodes

According to Deadline, actress Frances Fisher (Titanic) has joined the adaptation of Twilight author Stephenie Meyer‘s 2008 book THE HOST, scripted and to be directed by Andrew Niccol. Production takes place in Louisiana and New Mexico, for a theatrical release on March 29th, 2013, Easter weekend

William Hurt will play Jeb, described as “one of the grizzled leaders of the human survivalists fighting the alien invasion”
Diane Kruger plays The Seeker, who is charged with overseeing the conversion of Ronan’s character.
Frances Fisher plays Maggie, a stern aunt to Melanie (Ronan) and sister to Uncle Jeb (William Hurt)

You’ll get a laugh at them making fun of these movies for the most obvious things, like comments on the Hawaiian shirts in The Descendants, the confusion over why Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close was even nominated, and War Horse having to decide which side it should go..

And now, she’s donning brunnette in this trailer, via Yahoo, for IFC Films’ thriller, THE MOTH DIARIES from the director of American Psycho, Mary Harron..

THE MOTH DIARIES opens April 20th, 2012

Deadline reported that WB decided to pull Sylvester Stallone‘s new actioner, BULLET TO THE HEAD, from their schedule, so it won’t be released on April 13, 2012 as initially scheduled
They’re probably just looking for a more strategic release date, away from THE CABIN IN THE WOODS and THE THREE STOOGES, both of which were no threat to BULLET IN THE HEAD, if you ask me…

BULLET TO THE HEAD starring Sylvester Stallone, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jason Momoa, Christian Slater and Holt McCallany, directed by Walter Hill
Also starring the Asian driver from Fast Five, Sung Kang and Sarah Shahi (TV’s Fairly Legal) as Sly’s daughter..

Director Walter Hill (48 Hours) rewrote the script by Alessandro Camon (The Messenger), based on the graphic novel BULLET TO THE HEAD by Matz and Colin Wilson.
The story is about a New Orleans hitman (Stallone) who partners up with a young NY detective (Kang) “in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of Washington, D.C”. It’s an unlikely duo cop actioner investigating 2 murders, they’re willing to sacrifice everything to do some payback.

Akinnuoye-Agbaje will play the main villain, “a powerful attorney who’s trying to cover up his scam to exploit poor neighborhoods that have been ravaged by Hurricane Katrina”
Slater will play “a local handler who acts as a middleman”
McCallany will play “a dirty cop who partners with Kang”

Variety reported that Walden Media has hired Ben Zazove to adapt James Turner‘s humorous sci-fi graphic novel, REX LIBRIS.
Essentially, it’s about librarian Rex Libris and his zombie-slaying adventures, he protects Middleton Public Library’s books and the world’s literary treasures from a host of supernatural foes.

The astonishing story of the incomparable Rex Libris, Head Librarian at Middleton Public Library, and his unending struggle against the forces of ignorance and darkness. Rex travels to the farthest reaches of the galaxy in search of overdue books. Wearing his super thick bottle glasses, and armed with an arsenal of high technology weapons, he strikes fear into recalcitrant borrowers, and can take on virtually any foe from zombies to renegade literary characters.

I don’t know why Disney felt like they had to unleash this 4+ minutes length footage from JOHN CARTER movie. It’s almost the entire damn scene of Carter facing two giant apes. They also call it an extended trailer, I guess that’s the trend huh?! Just the other day, Disney also unleashed a new trailer for BRAVE that seemed more like an extended trailer.

So is he or is he not coming to the Oscars? That’s the question around Sacha Baron Cohen‘s plan to dress up as his new character, General Aladeen, from his new movie THE DICTATOR at this Sunday’s Oscars. Previous report stated the Oscars banned the Dictator but still allows Cohen to come on account that he’s part of the cast of HUGO, which is nominated for best picture.
This morning, Cohen, as THE DICTATOR, unleashed a hilarious video statement responding to the ban.
But now it seems that The Academy has changed its mind… sorta.. Via EW, this year’s Oscars producer Brian Grazer told Extra that Cohen is welcomed and that Cohen will show up at the red carpet as The Dictator. Now, whether or not Cohen plans to go all out and annoy fellow attendees and the cheering crowd is still in question.
But this is what Grazer said..

“We’re thrilled to have him and he’ll be on the red carpet dressed as The Dictator.”

Grazer also said that Eddie Murphy, who was supposed to be the host before he exited due to that whole Brett Ratner’s gay slur commotion, will not be making an appearance this Sunday.

So.. do you think Cohen turning the Oscars into a stage to promote his new movie is a mockery? Do you think the Oscars should not have caved to his silly act? How much you wanna bet Cohen and the Academy were all in on this whole thing just for the publicity?

I want to see this movie so bad, it hurts, the wildest party movie ever, with f*ed up crazier sh*t than John Belushi’s Animal House and Will Ferrell’s Old School, it’s gonna be rad!
WB has unleashed this red-band spot, via IGN, for PROJECT X, obviously the comedy relies heavily on a bunch of high school nerds and their raging hormone. Heads up, this is red-band, so keep the kids away!..

Three seemingly anonymous high school seniors attempt to finally make a name for themselves. Their idea is innocent enough: let’s throw a party that no one will forget… but nothing could prepare them for this party. Word spreads …
PROJECT X opens March 2nd, 2012

Sadly I’m not attending SXSW festival this year but that doesn’t mean I can’t help promote movies that are making their way to the event, this is one of them, it’s GAYBY, yup, you read that right! Directed by Jonathan Lisecki. It’s about a gay man and a straight woman having sex and trying to have a baby.
