I started back to college on Monday.  I am already exhausted and overwhelmed, but in a good way.  Only two of my three major course have started, and the workload is quite heavy.

I started back to college on Monday.  I am already exhausted and overwhelmed, but in a good way.  Only two of my three major course have started, and the workload is quite heavy.

Scarily, I’m loving every second of it.

The two classes that have started are Introduction to Oracle and Biology 103, both classes that I need to take to fill the general education requirements.  I want to get those types of courses out of the way first so that I can concentrate on my history courses in later semesters.  I still have to take the placement test for math to see if I can take the one math course that’s required…I’m probably going to need to take a lower math course first, since math is my all-time weakest subject.  Watching a pack of monkeys rolling a bunch of wine barrels down a steep hill is way more fun than algebra.

Of course, the math course is the one thing that could SERIOUSLY screw up my GPA.

Biology is going to be a bitch of a class.  As for my Oracle class, I have my own personal tutor for that, thank gawd.  I also don’t have to take a proctored exam for that class, so hopefully I should do ok!!

My one dear friend that lives out in California is moving to Colorado at the end of September.  She’s in for quite a shock once the winter hits, that’s for sure!  I told her to make sure that she got herself some warm and comfy ugg boots for when the snow starts.  She freaked out [...]]]>

My one dear friend that lives out in California is moving to Colorado at the end of September.  She’s in for quite a shock once the winter hits, that’s for sure!  I told her to make sure that she got herself some warm and comfy ugg boots for when the snow starts.  She freaked out just a bit…even THINKING about the snow makes her break out in hives.

I told her honestly that I was jealous…I’d give anything to live in Colorado!  It’s always been a dream of mine to move out there some day.

At least now I have an excuse to head out there to visit!

Just had some action out in the field behind my apartment.  It’s nice to have a balcony…I sat outside and watched all the goings on!

Seems some guy was out back in the field atv riding in the mud and tearing up the field.  From what I heard, he hit a very deep rut in the middle of the field and the ATV went ass over tea kettle, threw the guy off, and then landed on top of him.

Can you say ouch?

The cops showed up, along with a fire truck and an ambulance.  They carted the idiot off on a backboard.

Smooth move, ace.  I bet my rental office is going to be pissed at all the damage the guy did to the carefully manicured grass out there!

I spent this weekend in Delaware with my Mom and Dad, relaxing and getting caught up on some stuff.  Since I’m broker than all get-out, there was no massive shopping trip with Mom on Saturday.  Instead, she took me to lunch, and then we stopped at Rite Aid to get some stuff for her, and Jo-Ann Fabrics for me, as I needed a pair of fabric shears.

It was a nice and peaceful weekend.  Dad cooked a fabulous chicken dinner Saturday night, and I was able to finish up one of the books I was reading and start in on a new one.

I left their house around 2:30 in the afternoon today.  The rain was coming down hard by the time I crossed over the Maryland state line.  My car started stuttering and jerking a bit a one point, and I was afraid that I was going to have to call my roadside assistance club to come and rescue me.  Luckily, I made it home safe and sound…I think it was just the rain that was making my car act unhappy.

At least, that’s what I hope it was!  I still have to get my oxygen sensor replaced, but I kinda need money for that little project!

Not having any food in the house can be better than the best diet supplement. It also helps if you’re too lazy to make up the poor man’s dinner…i.e., macaroni and cheese.

Yeah, hubby and I really need to go grocery shopping.  Unfortunately, we have absolutely no money to spare.  I am getting 44.75 hours on my paycheck tomorrow.  FOR TWO WEEKS.

Things are pretty bad around here.

Today was actually the first day in about a month that I pulled a full eight hour shift.  And I actually had work to do, too!  Unfortunately, it leaves me with nothing to do tomorrow, so I’ll probably be getting kicked out of the office around lunchtime.

It looks like I’m going to have to get creative this weekend, both with our finances, and with the dinner menus!

Crazy.  Nuts.  Jaw dropping, head spinning off the wall weird.

I bought some new vitamins at Wally World a few weeks ago.  My normal multi-vitamin wasn’t in stock, so I bought some vitamins that promised that they were comparable to diet supplements that work, in that they helped to control appetite and burn fat.

I bought some new vitamins at Wally World a few weeks ago.  My normal multi-vitamin wasn’t in stock, so I bought some vitamins that promised that they were comparable to diet supplements that work, in that they helped to control appetite and burn fat.

Hey, fine by me.  The only thing that I have to do is take them in the morning with my head meds, as they’ve got caffeine in them.  I certainly don’t want to be taking them at night…I have enough trouble sleeping as it is!!

I’m stuffed to the gills.  Hubby had to go out and get cat food earlier, since we were all out.  He stopped at Burger King on the way home, and even the best weight loss pills in the world can’t counter the effects of one of their BK Triple Stackers!

Speaking of pills, I swear, I think I may have taken enough painkillers today to knock a horse unconscious.  Has the pain gone away?  Of course not.  Are my knuckles still swollen?  Of course they are.

I hate my damn body sometimes.

All the stress I’m under is making me break out like crazy again.  Every morning, I wake up and look in the mirror, only to find another red spot has popped up on my face.  Even the new adult acne treatments that I’ve been trying aren’t working.

All the stress I’m under is making me break out like crazy again.  Every morning, I wake up and look in the mirror, only to find another red spot has popped up on my face.  Even the new adult acne treatments that I’ve been trying aren’t working.

This awful heat and humidity doesn’t help my skin, either.  I’m constantly sweating, as I’ve become super-sensitive to the heat.  Work is a nightmare because the air conditioning can’t keep up with the heat, thanks to our suite having all windows for most of the outside walls.

I hate summer.  I hate heat.  And I REALLY hate what it does to my skin!!

Exhausted.  Thoughts scattered, like leaves on the sidewalk.  I’m losing track of the days again.  Body aching, thanks to uncomfortable chair at work.  Desperately need new office furniture. Joints swollen, thanks to the humidity.  Can’t sit down on the couch, or I pass out from exhaustion.  Sick and tired of people that can’t take [...]]]>

Apartment trashed.  Cats out of dry food.  Car needs a new oxygen sensor.  Finances all screwed up.  Hubby working major overtime.  Piles of laundry to do.

Not enough hours in the day.  Too many things needing to be done.  Time, fleeting.  Minute, hours, days tick by at the drop of a hat.

But occasionally, time stands still.  That perfect moment, that one word, that touch, that glance.  For the briefest of moments, everything is forgotten.

Makes everything better.
