Jimena Navarrete Rosete born on February 22, 1988, is a Mexican beauty pageant titleholder and Miss Universe 2010. Jimena Navarrete was previously crowned Nuestra Belleza Jalisco in Guadalajara, Jalisco on July 16, 2009 and Nuestra Belleza México on September 20, 2009, in Mérida, Yucatán.

Born and raised in Guadalajara, Navarrete studied nutrition prior to her participation in beauty pageants. After winning her state pageant, she won the title Nuestra Belleza México 2009, competing against thirty three other contestants. Jimena Navarrete is the second consecutive winner from Jalisco, following Karla Carrillo, the outgoing titleholder.

On August 23, 2010, Navarrete was named Miss Universe 2010, making her the second Mexican delegate to win the title, after Lupita Jones in 1991. Coincidentally, both were crowned in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Gmail Google Voice. Google Voice Call. Google testing voice calling in Gmail. Google could be ready to turn Gmail into a communications hub by adding the ability to make phone calls from the Google Chat interface.

Google has been edging in this direction for some time. Google Talk was released years ago as a VoIP desktop client and it has also spent a lot of time and money evangelizing Google Voice, a service that transcribes voice mails and allows users to have one phone number that rings multiple phones. But a Web based VOIP client, which is what the new service appears to be, is another matter entirely. This is the likely culmination of Google’s work to integrate Gizmo5′s similar product, which it acquired late last year, into its arsenal. Hints that such a service was coming first surfaced in June on the Google Operating System blog, which is not affiliated with Google.

It’s not clear if Google Voice will be changing, or whether this new service is a completely separate offering. The user interfaces appear the same, for example, the same icons are used to label missed calls or placed calls but Google Voice is not a VoIP service. Users of the new chat or phone call service aren’t required to have a Google Voice account and calls placed to U.S. or Canadian numbers will be free, with discounts on international calls as compared to standard rates.

Skype is the obvious target of such an application, but there are lots of companies that make both desktop based and Web based VoIP clients.

“Google is always testing new features and products, but we have nothing specific to announce right now” a Google representative said.

Golfer Erica Blasberg Death has been ruled suicide by suffocation by the Clark County, Nevada Coroner’s office. It has also been revealed that police are looking to arrest the doctor that called authorities after finding her unresponsive, after Erica Blasberg allgedly removed pills and a note from the scene.

‘Blasberg was found deceased in her Henderson home with a plastic bag secured over her head’ County Coroner Michael Murphy said in a statement released Tuesday, adding that ‘toxic’ levels of prescription medication were also found in her system. He went on to reveal that toxicology reports showed the presence of headache, cough, pain and anti anxiety medications, including butalbital, temazepam, alprazolam, codeine, hydrocodone and tremadol.

And although foul play has been ruled out an arrest warrant for Las Vegas based family practitioner, Dr. Thomas Hess has been issued on the grounds of obstruction of justice. Hess claims he knew the 25 year old from the golf club and that he discovered her lifeless body on May 9 at her Henderson, Nevada home when he stopped by her house to check on her welfare.

In his 911 call Hess told the operator: ‘I need to report a suicide. I came by to check on her last night and she had a couple drinks. ‘I came by to check on her now and she’s dead. She put a bag on her head.’ Going on to explain: ‘She was supposed to be leaving for a golf tournament but she didn’t. She picked up the phone and she sounded intoxicated at that time.’

However, he insisted that Blasberg had not seemed depressed and that she had made no mention of wanting to end her own life. Blasberg stood out from the crowds when she played golf at University of Arizona but had struggled at the professional level since leaving college.

At her only LPGA Tour event this year, at the Tres Marias Championship in Morelia, Mexico, she tied for 44th, and she had never finished higher than 94th on the money list.

However, shortly after her death her father, Mel Blasberg told the Riverside Press Enterprise: ‘She made a little money, she felt good. She knew this year was going to be a tough year, but she was motivated. She didn’t seem down.’

A sentiment echoed by her friends who said that she had been working hard to improve her game and was looking forward to a return to winning form.

In fact, her luggage was packed and she was ready to play in a golf tournament in Alabama when she died.

At Blasberg’s memorial service, her high school teammate, Scott Walker said she was extremely ‘talented, pretty and funny.’

Going on to add: ‘She had a laugh about her that was very contagious and when you heard it, it brought joy to everyone else. ‘And sometimes she’d have to walk out of the room because she was laughing so hard.’

The San Francisco Marathon took place for the first time in the year 1977. Since then the event has been taking place every year except in the year 1988. The marathon has been facing a big problem ever since it started and i.e. bandits. These people enter into the marathon without paying any fee or getting registered and they are able to enjoy running, drinking the free drinks and even win the medals. It is well known that the first woman who won the Boston Marathon was also a bandit. She sneaked into the marathon as females were not allowed to take part in the race.

Those bandits sneak into the marathon along with other runners and they can be identified as they don’t have the timing chips. They are often more likely to win. They also get opportunity to cross the golden gate bridge without facing any thick traffic. The people want to sneak into the marathon as bandits due to many reasons. Some people don’t want to pay the money required for entry and some just do it for fun.

San Francisco Marathon shall be focused by the media and the thousands of runners taking part have a chance to come on TV. Unlike some other marathons this marathon does not have a special team for catching the bandits. These bandits often come out to run naked after drinking high amounts of alcohol.

India has unveiled a $35 computer aimed at boosting connectivity rates among students and teachers. The low-cost laptop was developed to help colleges and universities achieve their education goals through connectivity, the human resources development ministry said, adding that the price would gradually fall to $10 a piece.

According to 2001 census figures, the country’s literacy rate stands at 65 per cent for its billion-plus population. Nevertheless, the country is trying to bring its online market on par with its booming cell-phone business. The country has also announced plans to link up all its 250,000 village councils by 2012 in a bid to plug massive broadband divides between rural and urban communities.

The Estate Tax is a tax on your right to transfer property at your death. It consists of an accounting of everything you own or have certain interests in at the date of death. The honest market value of these items is used, not necessarily what you paid for them or what their values were when you bought them. The total of all of these items is your Yucky Estate. The includible property may consist of cash and securities, real estate, insurance, trusts, annuities, business interests and other assets.

Once you have accounted for the Yucky Estate, certain deductions and in special circumstances, reductions to value are allowed in arriving at your Taxable Estate. These deductions may include mortgages and other debts, estate administration expenses, property that passes to surviving spouses and qualified charities. The value of some operating business interests or farms may be reduced for estates that qualify.

After the net amount is computed, the value of lifetime taxable gifts, beginning with gifts made in 1977 is added to this number and the tax is computed. The tax is then reduced by the available unified credit. Presently, the amount of this credit reduces the computed tax so that only total taxable estates and lifetime gifts that exceed $1,000,000 will really have to pay tax. In its current form, the estate tax only affects the wealthiest 2 percent of all Americans.

Most relatively simple estates, cash, publicly traded securities, small amounts of other easily valued assets, and no special deductions or elections, or jointly held property, do not require the filing of an estate tax return. A filing is required for estates with combined yucky assets and prior taxable gifts exceeding $1,500,000 in 2004 – 2005; $2,000,000 in 2006 – 2008; and $3,500,000 effective for decedents dying on or after January 1, 2009.

Earthquake July 16 2010. Maryland, A 3.6 magnitude earthquake struck near the Gaithersburg, Maryland, area just after 5 a.m. ET Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The center of the quake was about 20 miles northwest of Washington, the USGS said.

The earthquake was the largest in the area since 1974 and the first registering above 3.0 on the Richter scale there in that time period, said Amy Vaughan, a geophysicist at the USGS National Earthquake Information Center.

“This is a significant event for the region,” she said.

About an hour after the quake, Vaughan said more than 5,500 people had reported feeling it across Maryland, in nearby Washington, and in states including West Virginia, Virginia, Delaware.

“It was really loud, like a plane flying really low. I had never felt anything like it,” said Anne Ngunjiri, 30, of Gaithersburg. “I was jolted out of bed. All my neighbors woke up. After it passed, I thought it could be an earthquake, and lay in bed hoping there were no aftershocks.”

Judy Rudolph, 64, said she was writing e-mails in bed in Rockville, Maryland, when her house started to shake.

“My first reaction was the noise?. I thought it was an explosion,” she said. She said she’d never felt anything like it in her 31 years living there.

Until Friday, the largest earthquake recorded within a 75-kilometer, about 47 miles, radius of Gaithersberg since 1974 was a 2.7-magnitude quake in 1993, Vaughan said.

But geologically speaking, she said it was “not completely unexpected” for a 3.6-magnitude quake to hit there.

“Occasionally these things do happen even east of the Rockies, even though it’s not really on a plate boundary where we expect earthquakes? Faults do exist from when the continent was forming. There are small faults that do exist within this area,” she said.

Vaughan said major structural hurt was unlikely, but people may experience aftershocks for the next day, or even a week or two after the quake.

Washington’s Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency said no injuries or property hurt had been reported.

The last earthquake in Maryland occurred on October 8, 2007, according to the USGS website. It was a 1.7-magnitude quake about 5 miles northwest of Baltimore.
