eMeals App Review!

I love reviewing apps - It's amazing how many free resources are available right at our fingertips.

I've discovered some pretty cool ones recently, including the eMeals (They're ranked the #1 spot in the Food & Drink category for apps, and even currently beat out places like Starbucks, and Domino's!)

Before this past year, I never really did much cooking, or much healthy eating. However, I've tried taking new strides this year, and have been being a bit more active in those 2 things. I usually find inspiration on Pinterest, but have been looking elsewhere lately.

When I discovered the eMeals app, I felt like I'd hit the jackpot. I signed up for my free 7 day trial (You can too! Just download the app to get started)
You get asked a few simple questions (Like do you have any diet restrictions, etc) and your favorite grocery store to shop at, and then everything you need comes up.

Literally, all of your meals for the week are planned! As you can see from my screen shots, it gives you a list of recipes for the week (You can skip ones that you don't like) and then it shows you a list of everything you need. And here is my favorite part: It gives your prices too! So you know exactly what you need, and how much you'll be spending.

It's cool that you can also just take your phone with you to the store, and then there is no need for a written grocery list either, because it's all right there in the palm of your hand! You click it as you get it, and the app even crosses it right off your list.

If you've never tried eMeals, I highly suggesting looking into them. They'll save you hundreds of dollars on your annual grocery budget if followed correctly, and it's a great way to ensure you eat healthy balanced meals, stay within budget, and have delicious meals too!

Olay Fresh Effects Review

I have always had problems with my skin. When I was 17-18 I would constantly get break outs, and even now, at 22, I am still constantly getting them (Not quite as bad at least!)

I've tried all sorts of products, but have never been able to find one that just works great for me. And in fact, a lot of products that I've used in the past, have only made me break out worse, and dry out my skin. That's why usually, I am very very picky about what skin care products to use. I am however, willing to give things a shot, especially with the chance that, this could be the product that ends my break outs!

I received a fun little vanity set filled with Olay Fresh Effects goodies to review.

I thoroughly read all of the product labels to see the different benefits, and was extremely excited to give them a shot.

I'm not the biggest on wearing make-up, but when I do, I know how important it is to clean my skin well afterward. I've found in the past, that days I don't scrub my face as well, I tend to get break outs within a day or two afterward.
Now that I've been working, I've been dressing up a bit more, and I've needed to really get deep down in my pores, after a long hard day. I've found since using the Olay Fresh Effects "Shine, Shine Go Away" that my skin has much less break out, and I honestly feel so refreshed after using it. It's a cleanser, and I've been using it faithfully, every day that I apply make-up. I tend to have oily skin, and I've also noticed a reduction in how oily I'm getting. The Shine, Shine, Go Away has almost a "marble" like finish to it, and I just love the way it feels on my skin. It makes my face super soft as well, which is a huge plus :).

One of my absolute favorites of the Fresh Effects line was definitely the "Bead Me Up." I love exfoliating cleansers, with the little beads. It's a little rough on the skin with the beads, but definitely worth it! After you rub it away, your skin feels so naked, and clean. I get so sweaty during the day, but no matter what, at the end of the night, after using "Bead Me Up" I feel clean, and rejuvenated!

The "Swipe Out" make up removal cloths did wonders, and easily remove your make-up. I tend to use a ton of mascara, because I have very short lashes, and want them to stand out more, and the wipes definitely did there job well!

The BB Cream, was awesome! I have seriously used a moisturizer, maybe.. 1 or 2 times in the past. I never found one that I was drawn too, and just never saw the point.
After using the BB Cream, I now know what I was missing out on. First off, my skin looks amazing! It gives me this amazing glow, that I never dreamt of having. My skin feels really soft after use, and the very best part? It's got sun block included in it! Living in Florida, I am constantly in the sun, and I know just how important it is to always wear sun block, to help protect myself from the harmful rays. This is most definitely a product that I will be purchasing in the future.

The Long Live Moisture was the only product I wasn't overjoyed with. I liked how cool it made my skin feel, and it felt really soft, but I did find that the product seemed a bit "shiny" and I just wasn't a big fan of the finish it had on my skin. Like I said, I have semi-oily skin, and I just didn't feel like it was a great product for me, personally.

And finally, the Va-Va-Vivid.

This little tool, is pretty awesome. It's designed to fit all of the contours of your face, to give you a "Mini facial" that you're sure to love. First off, the bristles are super soft, and feel so nice on your face. Once you add your battery, and it's powered up, you really feel the power this has. It's not too powerful, but it's just perfect for your face. When you're using it, you can truly feel your face been exfoliated and cleaned (Especially when combined with the "Bead Me Up." My face felt better then ever, and I would highly recommend this one!

Overall, I was pretty impressed with Olay Fresh Effects. Enough so, that I've gotten at least 2 people to try out the BB cream (I was able to get them both some with the Walmart gift card I was provided.) My skin has been noticeably clearer, and I have really just felt like I've had a little mini makeover. I've suffered from break outs for so long, and while I do get an occasional pimple, it's nice to have some relief, from having it all over my face.

How the Environment Around You Affects Your Eyes Whether you are awake or asleep, the environment around you can have an enormous impact on your eyes. We are constantly exposed to many different elements that can have a detrimental effect on the health of the eye. While you are sleeping

If you sleep with ceiling fans on, you may awake in the morning with itchy or irritated eyes. This is because the constant turbulence of air from a ceiling fan can cause dry eye syndrome. A lot of people don’t realise it, but many people sleep with their eyes open; even just millimetres. This allows the surface of the eye to dry out. There are many things that can cause allergies, such as pollen, dust and animal fur. If you find your eyes are gritty, watery and red, you are likely to be suffering from an allergy to your surroundings. You may find your allergies are seasonal, with the dry dusty conditions of summer, the profusion of flowers in spring or the blustery winds of winter. Speak to your doctor about eye drops specifically for allergies.

Playing sports

Playing sport can be exhilarating, especially with the fresh air blowing into your face and eyes and the warm sunshine beating down upon you. This environment can play havoc with your eyes, leading to dry watery red eyes. It is important to protect your eyes during these times with wraparound sunglasses. This will give protection against ultraviolet rays and harsh windy conditions. If you spend a lot of time at the beach, the salty water can aggravate the eyes and cause inflammation. Artificial tears can dilute the salt and make the eyes comfortable.

Technological environment

The era we live in has introduced us to many wonderful things such as big screen televisions, computers, iPads, mobile phones and video games. These are all part of our daily life but do cause eyestrain and eye fatigue. Eye exercises and artificial tears can give relief if you find you are suffering from dry eyes.

The Environment

Whether you spend most of your time in the city or the country, you may be exposed to dust, smoke, dirt, plants, animals or wind which all cause irritation and inflammation of the eye which, if left untreated, can lead to infection of the eye. Many irritating eye symptoms caused by the environment around you, especially Dry Eye, can be treated with artificial tears such as those Allergan REFRESH eye drops. These artificial tears will help to maintain lubrication. Dry eye symptoms can range from mild to severe, and need to be treated properly so as not to progress further. Do not try any home remedies without seeking professional help, as home remedies may do damage to the eyes. We can all use a little extra inspiration, can't we? I know I can. It's hard to keep motivated, especially when exercising - But sometimes those small things (Like the words on your shirt.) can give you that extra push you need to keep going.

Those are the words on the shirt that I received. Definitely inspirational. I try to follow an exercise regiment, wether it be a simple walk every day, or making it in to my neighborhoods club house for a full work out.

When I go into the club house I always get bored, because there are only 3 different machines, and well, it's just easy to get bored. When I get bored I always tend to want to leave. I've found myself at least once ready to leave, and then glancing down at the words on my shirt, and just saying "Stay just a couple more minutes."

I know the inspiration is there, and I know why it's there. So it puts me into a better mind-set to keep pushing.

Another good plus is that the shirt is very comfortable. It has a comfortable stretch, and it's really soft. The only negative thing for me was the sleeves. I have bigger arms, and I am very sensitive about them. The sleeves were too tight for me, and were not super flattering. If I were ever going to get another shirt, I would more than likely go a size up. At least for the time being I have something to work for - Getting those arms smaller to fit more comfortably.

Chocolate Skulls Review

Okay, so it's not exactly a chocolate skull that I am reviewing - But it's in fact, a chocolate sacrum!

Cannibal Confections used to just feature chocolate skulls, but soon, will be featuring several other body parts - Including the sacrum, that I reviewed.

I'm a little "out of the box." I like all sorts of things. And actually, a few of my friends call me "eclectic." At first I didn't accept that title, but one day, when I was cleaning, I took a look around at all the different things I had, and I came to the conclusion that they were right.

Now I embrace that - It's a part of who I am.

Anyway, back to the sacrum. These chocolate body parts are actually hand crafted by a really great lady, named Marina. Marina literally spends hours and hours on every single piece she makes. If you take a look, you can actually see how detail oriented the pieces are. The sacrum I received seriously looks like a real sacrum.

I for one, don't like receiving boxes of chocolates as a gift - It always seems so insincere. But a chocolate body part? That takes some thought! Not everyone would think of that - I personally would be ecstatic to receive a chocolate body part. It's such a unique gift idea.

The only thing that I disliked is that I didn't want to eat the chocolate body part. It's a piece of art, and I just had a hard time breaking pieces off to eat. However, I did end up eating some, and it was delicious.

If you want to give a special gift, that someone will remember forever, consider Chocolate Skulls. They definitely make a statement, and definitely make a great gift!

Pet Camp: A Great Place for Pets!

My pets are one of my biggest priorities in life. I do everything I can for them, and I love for them to have the best of the best - Whether it be food, care, or toys.

( My 2 boys, Wilbur and Necco. )

One thing I don't like, is having to pick a place for your pets to go when you need to go on vacation. I know a lot of you are pet lovers like me, and I'm sure most of you would feel the same about not just letting any random person watch your pets.

My family has actually been trying to plan a trip out West for a very long time. One reason for a while, was actually funds, but another big factor was actually having someone watch our pets. I am so picky, and I don't just want any old person for the job - Especially considering how many animals I have. I've shopped around a bit, but haven't found that perfect place.

It actually was very recently that I saw "Pet Camp." As soon as I saw the cute logo, I thought it looked like a fun place. I did some reading, and it sounds so great!
If you take a look around there website, you can see some of the pets, and just how "at home" they look.

One thing I really love is that your pets get the full experience. They aren't just crated up, they're given lots of playtime in a big open area (see above.) Where they get tons of exercise, and get to interact with other pets.

They are supervised by trained counselors, and everything is planned around your pets needs.

The only thing that stinks is that they're location is in California. I wish so bad that they had a location in SWFL - It definitely looks like a great pet day care. If you live in CA and you have pets, you may want to check it out.

There are lots of things that I collect. One of things, happen to be make-up. I have all different types - blush, eye shadow, lipsticks, and so much more.

That's why when I heard about Starlooks, I was really excited! Starlooks sells all different types of beauty products - And the best part is, you can buy single items that you like, or there is also an option for every month. Each month, Starlooks releases a new "Starbox," and each month there are new great products featured inside.

The best part is, is that if you miss a month, they sometimes have extra boxes from previous months, so you can purchase previously released months as well.

For my review, I received a February Starbox.

The Starbox featured special edition products from Lauren Clark.

I received a Lauren Clark "Barbie" Fluid Blush, the "Pink Oasis" Lip Gloss, the Lauren Clark Signature "Tipsy" Lip Liner, and a "Princess Diaries" Infinity Pot Liner.

I really love the lip gloss, the blush and the eye liner. All 3 of them I've enjoyed using, and are definitely great - They were easily applied, and were long lasting, and very pretty.

I didn't have a use for the lip liner, because it's not something that I wear, but it's definitely a pretty shade, and I'm planning on giving it as a gift to one of my friends, who is a lip liner enthusiast.

My personal favorite was the blush, because it was a fluid blush. I had honestly never tried liquid blush before, and I was glad to give it a shot. It was super easy to apply, and I just loved the cutesy pink color. It goes so nicely with my pale complexion.

Overall, I was really impressed with the Lauren Clark Edition that I received. I love the "monthly" product ideas, and I wouldn't definitely consider giving another month a try in the future.

Vacationing Just Got Easier to Plan with Dwellable!

We actually vacation quite often. We try going on at least 1 big vacation every year (Meaning out of state) and we try to go on local vacations (areas in the state) at least once every couple of months.

1 of my favorite places to go is Manasota Key, which is about 2 hours north of where I live. First off, Manasota is a gorgeous place to visit - There is a lot to do there, but my favorite thing to do is hit the beaches. Why? Because of the loads of sharks teeth you can find!

These are pictures of some of our great finds the last time we took a trip to Manasota.

When we go, we like to get there extremely early, so we always end up leaving our house at about 4 am, so we can get there right at sun-up.

(See - We were the first to arrive, right before sun up :) )

One thing I always hate is the short amount of time we spend up there. I've always thought about getting a hotel or place to stay, but I've always found it too hard to pick the right place, compare prices, and mess with all of that stuff.

Thankfully, now I'm already planning my next trip, because I recently discovered Dwellable. Dwellable is an awesome app for your iPhone (+ iPad and Android devices!) that pulls up everything you need, to pick a place to stay on your vacation outing.

When you first start you'll see the "Where are you going?" search area (As pictured at the top of this post.) Simply type in where you'd like to go (I entered Manasota Key, FL.) and then a list of available places will pop up, with prices.

You can also select a specific place that interests you, and once you select it, it will provide you with additional information, such as weekly rates, a little about the place, and pictures.

One of my personal favorite features is that you can also select your price range, so you aren't wasting your time, looking for places that are out of your comfort zone.

Another cool feature is that you can search by discovery too! Simply select "See all destinations" under the "Where are you going?" drop down menu, and then a list of different states will appear.

From there you can select a state you'd like to check out, and then all of the different key areas will appear, and then you can explore further.

It's actually fun! And even a little inspiring. The app is giving me ideas about where I might want to go next, and it's also showing me what I can expect to pay, so I can figure everything into a budget.
The Dwellable app is completely free, and extremely useful. If you have an iPhone, iPad, or Android (It's also on the web,) I would definitely suggest checking it out.

I'm already planning our next trip to Manasota, and I promise, as soon as I visit I'll update you with our stay, pictures, and our experience.
