C3 Became E63

I’ve found myself strolling around the malls here when I have a free time, and more often than not, I’ve went in and out of gadget shops and found things that I would love to have, yet I don’t have enough money.

One of which is a new cell phone. Since I lost my previous one last year, I’ve been using my 5-year old phone which I owned when I was still in high school. I would really love to get a touch screen phone, and it having a full keyboard is optional. The cheapest that I found is Samsung, which I don’t really like and doesn’t have WiFi.

My special friend and I went to Nokia store together and he’d mention that he’d love to have a QWERTY phone. As what I found out in my research, C3 is the phone for the youngsters since it’s a messenger phone with WiFi and full keyboard. We came to a conclusion that we’d save money and buy the same phone together.

Then I found out that C3 doesn’t have an OS and can’t do multitasking. :( I would have loved the color pink of the phone but then it’s too pink, and if I’m to use the white one, it would get dirty in my hands in no time. LOL.

Sometimes, when I’ve got nothing to do or when I’m procrastinating, I often visit Buy and Sell forums and that’s when I came across E63. It’s not a new release of Nokia, unlike C3. But I love its color, nevermind the shape of the phone – it looks chubbier and bulkier than C3. Here‘s the comparison between them if you want a more accurate information.

Anyway, I was falling for that phone, and told him. I thought he’d be disappointed but then he agreed with me, and said that he doesn’t want to regret buying C3 because it has minimal flexibility.

So, yay! E63′s price is 2000 Php more than the price of C3, but it has an OS, WiFi, 3G and more. We’d be videocalling each other just for laughs.

This is still our plan though, who knows it might change at a later date. But I’m really looking forward to it.

Shameless Plug: My first contest

Weeee! As of today, August 17, 2010, my domain, Rawrbie,, turns one! :P I don’t have much to celebrate today since the contest has been moved to a later date and I’m too preoccupied with Midterms. Gawd, these exams are chasing me. Someone please kill them!

I’m brining some updates though. :P I would have wanted to finish the icon tutorial I’ve been writing since last year(LOL), but I’ll just finish it some other time. :3 Anyway, I made 2 new textures, bokeh or otherwise known as light textures, and lens flare. I’m a lens flare and bokeh lover myself, so making them was actually very fun and interesting.

I recently discovered how to make patterns, so I made a set too, which is assorted by the way. It’s not really a jaw dropping one, since it looks pretty basic to me. LOL. But still, I wanna share them with you.

That’s about it for the updates. I hope you guys wish Rawrbie a happy birthday. :P

This is sort of just a short update so I’ll go back to studying for my oh so long exams, which consist of 1 chapter for TQM, 4 chapters for Ethics for the IT Profession and another booming 4 chapters for Principles of Economics with Agrarian References, which I find really boring. Jump Then Fall

I’ve been blogging at my other site more often than here lately, so I guess it’s time I should at least introduce my not so newly adopted domain. :D It houses my typography. Well, not the complex typography that uses letters in order to form something. The typography I’m talking about is those typical ones you see often at Tumblr.

Speaking of Tumblr, I used to reblog posts there and barely make mine. But when I do, it’s just those what they call word arts. XD So I collect them at Ginger-Skies and post a little thought about the picture. :P Yes, that’s the domain I’m talking about. Olivia gave me the chance to adopt it last May, though it barely has any content. :O

I haven’t listed all the sites I own, so maybe I’d do that after posting this entry. :P

I hoe you guys know about the contest I’m holding. It would start this Tuesday, but I’ve moved it due to time constraints. I realized a little too late that this week is our Midterms week and you know what it’s like. I’ll be a student dying, bombarded with exams, with lots of chapters to read and understand. Studying is so boring.

Yup, I’m holding a little contest right here to celebrte my soon-to-be one year old domain. :P

On September 6, 2010 at 9 PM GMT +8, I will post 10 images around the site which would link to certain pages. All you have to do is e-mail me the names of the pixels and its corresponding content. I will accept entries until Sept. 10 at 11 PM GMT +8 so you have four days to do it.

If you’re one of the first three who got all ten correctly, then you win one of the 3 major prizes including a .info domain with a name of your choice, which can be pushed to your Namecheap account if you wish to. The remaining correct entries who didn’t get into the first three will be drawn randomly by name with the help of Random.org.

For My Baby

Oh, my gosh! I have a baby! Are you guys surprised?

I’m even more surprised that she’ll turn 1 year old this August 17, 2010. Time flies really fast and to think that I haven’t even taken good care of her makes me sad. Sometimes, I’m too busy to attend to her. Other times when I’m not busy, I’m being hostaged by my laziness or procrastination. I’m really sorry, my baby.

If you’re a constant reader of this blog and are wondering why I haven’t talked about her since I got her, well, you’re wrong. I talked about her here, actually and as far as I remember, it was my first post on this site.

Surprised? No, I’m not talking about a real baby, I’m talking about Rawrbie. I actually had just renewed her a few minutes ago just in case I forget and it might expire. I don’t want to lose this domain! Somehow, I’ve held on to this one like a precious child.

I don’t have ideas on how to celebrate it turning one though. I was thinking of a contest and giving a WordPress theme to the winner, but that seems I have to dedicate my time and stop being a lazy ass. Do you guys think I can do it? Or do you have other brilliant ideas to run a contest? Suggestions are indeed more than welcome.

It Took Me Half A Year!

After six months of seeing the same layout worn by the site, I finally got sick of it and decided that it needed a new one. I was planning on having a scrapbook-like theme, but for some reasons, I wasn’t satisfied with the PSD site build and it looks really complicated. I might finish it if procrastination don’t win. XD This took me the whole afternoon to make this. The weird thing is I was just randomly downloading patterns and trying it with Photoshop. And hola, this layout was born. LMAO!

What took me long in this one is the navigation. I sort of promised to myself that I would learn or try something new whenever I make a new layout or something. This is the first time I used jQuery and it’s the navigation that took long in making the theme. Well, I’m loving it. BTW, I was finally able to make Coppermine Gallery themes, which I’ve been dying to do ever since I heard of it. Those two are what I’ve accomplished for 2010 in terms of Web Design, and I still wanna learn more. I’ve been planning on learning Drupal or Joomla but I keep procrastinating. Haha.

It’ll be Monday tomorrow, we’re going to have a very long exam tomorrow and I haven’t even scanned my notebook yet. My mom is not yet back from Bohol, which means that my cousin and I will be having turns on the “mom” role. Brrr. Have to wake up at 5 AM so my brothers won’t be late. Good luck to me.

The Little Things

It’s only now that I have truly acknowledged that school is back. LOL. We’re not that busy yet though. Only projects and tests could make me busy in school, since I don’t really study. Haha. It’s not that I’m actually hoping I’ll be busy. I love my schedule for this sem, to be honest. :P I don’t have to wake up at 5 am anymore, which I have done for the past three years. It’s making me lazier, but I want to sleep more.

I usually just chat during nights and search for things if our teachers ask for it. And it’s still a wonder why I haven’t changed the layout yet. This is the layout I’ve used the longest, so far. Haha. And I’m sorry.

For the past summer, I was able to complete my OJT and build a website. I’m going to get paid for the site I made for an NGO this Friday. YAY! As for my OJT allowance, out IT Manager is still following up the HR Manger. I hope it’ll be fixed, sooner or later.

As for those who are interested in my so-called lovelife, things are actually pretty good. We’ve talked it over last Saturday and I never thought our feelings would cross. I’ve only seen this in my dream, never thought it’d be real.

Last Month Was Lazy Month

Yes, I admit. I’ve been really lazy last June and I haven’t blogged for ages. I just didn’t feel like it and I don’t want to force myself though I hate seeing my blog unattended. XD I just think that I feel quite hyper tonight. I just finished playing DoTA and we won! Bwahaha. I don’t feel all so superior and mighty because I cheated on the second game. I felt annoyed that Naga Siren kept killing me in the first game. So I cheated money and got items during the early game. I’m still new at this so pardon me if I resorted to “-test”. LOL!

I’m using our desktop PC, which I haven’t used in ages. It feels like home. I’m still really attached to this computer, though I feel bad for my laptop as I haven’t used its potential. Its keyboard makes me crazy. Whenever I type, the blinking cursor would change position and that makes me have a typo instead. It’s really difficult to code and that’s what I don’t like about my laptop. While in this computer, I can type fast and freely without the worry of having an unexpected and almost untraceable typo. *sigh* It’s a good thing though that I have a laptop now.

Facebook and Tumblr delay my work. LOL. Maybe it’s time I should lessen the time I spend with them, and hang out more often with my blogs. I miss them. I know I have thought of not updating this anymore and possibly not renewing this domain, but I can’t I just decided on that because of laziness. Damn procrastination. XD

I’m not leaving the online world. I may be busy, but I’ll try my best to keep the sites updated.

Breakin’ At The Cracks

Summer’s ending for me. Come this 15th of June and I’ll be saying “Hello!” to my classmates and teachers once again. I actually finished my OJT last May 31, so I’m happy about it.

I didn’t really have a summer to start with. I stayed in the company’s buillding the whole summer and while they had this Summer Outing, we were only their OJTs so we’re not included. How sad, right? Haha. I wasn’t able to go to the beach and it really sucks. :(

I’m not ready for the classes yet, though I have been officially enrolled. :P I’m a regular student and apparently, I’m on a block. Block A FTW! :P The funny thing is during enrollment, I was late and when I got to school, my classmates we’re lining up on the cashier to pay the down payment. And when we went to school again to print our study load, they lined for me and when I arrived, it was our turn for the printing. It’s like they enrolled me. I wished I didn’t come, LOL, but that would make them mad or something. Haha. :P

I feel better now, if you’ve read my emotional post before this one.

I wasn’t blogging as much and haven’t changed the layout for 5 or so months. :O I’ve already made the design for Rawrbie, so all is left is for me to code it. I really really want to give this one a pretty face lift but I’ve been busy. If I’m not busy, and it still took me a while, then that means I’ve been conquered by procrastination.

I know I’m rambling random things but my mind isn’t really in a good condition. Hahaha.

I’m Not Happy

There are people who, no matter what you do, no matter how much effort you exert just to make them happy, don’t know how to appreciate the little things around them. And the problem with me is I find it hard to tell them how I really feel since I have this kind of sickness: pride. I don’t want my ego to be bruised and once I admit it to them, then it’s a white flag that I’m waving.

I’ve been having mood swings lately though my monthly visitor just dropped by a week ago or so. _<' class='wp-smiley' /> I get upset and sad easily and I don’t know why. Even just the smallest things like “What a lame joke” as what my classmate told me made me upset. I’m crazy, obnoxious and an attention-seeker.

I have to stop this because I feel like I’m behaving like Tricia of PBB Teen Clash 2010, though I don’t tell anyone how I feel. As what I discovered recently, Tricia has this Histrionic personality and she annoys all of her house mates. Not a single soul likes her in the house, but they’re trying to help her.

It’s hard to keep your face straight and not to show that you’re unhappy.

It’s my birthday tomorrow – oh, it’s a few minutes from now as I make this post – and I’m supposed to be happy, but I’m not.

It’s been like this since June 1. June isn’t really a month for me.
