Talking Photos are photos enhanced with your voice, popular sound clips from movies and tv, music clips and sound effects. Our goal is to make it very easy to create, share and consume Talking Photos. Who knows… maybe it’ll become the YouTube of photos with audio.

Why the shift in strategy? I’ve written articles in the past about the complexities of trying to build a business relying on key relationships with wireless carriers and handset manufacturers. Unless you’re extremely well capitalized, don’t do it. At the same time that we were stagnating in the world of telco middle management, a bunch of companies around us had exploded with cool social media services: iLike, Slide, Rock You, etc… We believed that Razz had built robust, unique and defensible audio content services that were being under-utilized in the mobile space.

So why Talking Photos? There were 8 billion photos shared online last year. The fastest growing trend within photo sharing is photo enhancement: creating slide shows, photo tagging, adding glitter text, etc… But, no one focused on audio and voice. Razz believes this to be a tremendous growth opportunity to enable people to transform their photos in a new, more personable way.
