I think my friend in Italy might be interested in me but I’m not sure. We’ve known each other for one year – I met him when he came to Australia with a friend this time last year. I’m going to Italy in 20 days to study for a few months. This is what makes me think he could be interested:

*Even though I had a boyfriend he would post hearts on my wall (I no longer have a bf).
*He posted flashing animations of two people hugging and said that it was me and him.
*I sent him a photo of me holding a coffee machine he sent me and he said that it was enough for him to fall in love.
*He always posts :*******
*He sent me the most beautiful Christmas card wishing me luck for my arrival in Italy. The card’s printed message read “I thought Christmas was everything: friendship, happiness and cohabitation and every day you resemble this more and more.
*I was on FB last and he popped up straight away asking if we could skype.

He was a bit red in the face during our convo and said that he was on holidays now and we could talk whenever I wanted.

Is it wrong for a guy to do this if he has a girlfriend? He’s never mentioned of having one before.

Question by Doody: Advice or info on old painting?
I am trying to find out about an old painting (photo’s attached) I discovered behind a print of The laughing cavalier and I hoped someone here might be able to help? I know that it is at least 77 years old as it has a sheet from a newspaper stuck to the back of it with the date 7th March 1931 (that’s 77 years to the day when I discovered it!). The only things I have managed to find out is that the lady in it is probably Victorian or Edwardian and wearing widows weeds. You can see the splodges on the side where the artist has mixed his colours and it has writing in the top right corner which I can’t make out although I think the top line reads “Not much – Black – White” (maybe notes from someone marking the work or from the artist himself) It looks to have been painted onto thick card and I can’t find a signature. This is a really beautiful painting and I think it deserves to be recongnised. I hope you can help.

last night my sister & I were looking to learn more about some of the Medical schools and ended up in The Johns Hopkins University home page. What I found was not only surprising, but also outrageous. In the sideshow featured in the home page was a picture of group of Iraqi women, all wearing the burka, and small girl, not wearing any head-covering. On the side was a caption that read, “Seeing the possibilities of change”. Seeing these Muslim women wearing the burka, the little girl without one, and the word change, set me off. Before I could jump to more conclusions, I clicked on the photo to learn more.e. It turned out the picture was referring to a goal to get more Iraqi women into the political arena, but thats what ticked us off because the homepage image can be very misleading to many.

So.. after this my sister & I sent in e-mail to Mr. Daniels [ President of John Hopkins ]

I were very polite about this ..we concluded

I hope that I have voiced opinions and concerns in a non-confusing and rational form. I highly respect all that Johns Hopkins University does and what it stands for. This was quite spontaneous on my part and I hope you will dismiss any errors in my email. In the future, I would suggest greatly analyzing the content your website exhibits, especially, materials that deal with such a high heat topic. I also hope I have not offended you or Johns Hopkins University in my rant. I wish you and the university the best of luck in the future.

I get judged all the time by how I dress. I wear baggy plain T- shirts like this: http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j00DMSEWBftvhkT/Plain-T-Shirt.jpg I wear a lot of blue and black, dark colors. I have a scar on my right arm that reads “HATE” because I put it on there with a pencil a couple fo months ago. My T- shirts are also 1-2 sizes too big for me because I don’t like fitted shirts. I don’t like words on my shirt unless a group or something(Greenday, White Sox). I meant the photo was the best I could find.
I rarely smile and I walk kind of slowly. Not becuase I don’t like to walk faster, but I notice everything in my surroundings. I would notice a dead spider in a group of 10 people. I also wear either a black or grey hoodie everyday, hot or cold. No jewelry. People say I often have a glum expression on my face. My hair is always in a ponytail, even in the winter. My friends think I’m great, but what about you?

Question by : What do I do about this? I’m very hurt.?
So, I’ve had this friend for a long time now. We’re both very close and she’s eighteen years old, just a year older than myself. We don’t get to see each-other too often right now because we live far apart, but we’ve always talking on the phone at least every other day and skyped and so on.

Well, two months ago I saw she had deleted her Facebook completely. She normally would have told me about that, so I called her and found her phone number had been changed. I tried sending her emails, but they would always bounce back to my own inbox. I tried getting a hold of some of our mutual friends, but they didn’t know anything about it. It’s like she was completely cut off and I started to get worried so I wrote some letters to her.

Finally, about a month ago, I get a text from a blocked ID that read “Hey, this is ______. Sorry I haven’t gotten any of your messages. Xoxo ___________” That’s all it read! So, i called the number but there was never any answer.

Today I wake up, sign on Facebook, and see one of MY friend’s new photo album: A photo album of the friend’s who I had lost contact with WEDDING. I WAS FURIOUS! My friend dropped off the planet from me, dated a guy for two months and then MARRIED him, and didn’t even invite me to the wedding but invited my other friend whom she doesn’t know too well and only through me.

I’m very hurt by this. I would have considered her my best from since we were twelve years old. Why would she do this to me? We never fought, bickered, or even disagreed for that matter. We were just really, really good friends. It bugs me to hell. I’ve never even met/heard of the guy she married. He’s a total stranger entering my friend’s life.

Why did she do this?! What should I do now?! I’m so upset

Maybe she seceretly felt threatened by you. Are you prettier than her? Is she like your sidekick?
Or maybe it was time for her to grow up, as your grow older things change and so do people. I have a best friend i knew her for five years we were like sisters but as soon as she got a boyfriend she slowly driffeted away from me, and even though we go to the same school we hardly ever talk. Just forget about it shes not a true friend if she did that, or what you can do is ask the friend that went to her wedding why you think she didn’t invite you?

Question by : Should I have submitted to a voluntary search of myself and my car today?
I went to the city hall in my town to protest a new immigration law as the Governor was coming to make a speech to the Chamber of Commerce and other criminals.

I didn’t even have my sign with me still in my car trunk at the time) which read “DEPORT THE GOVERNOR” and asked one of the “dignitaries” entering City Hall which door the Gov. would enter through as I wanted to take a photo.

Three minutes later I was detained by police who demanded my ID and asked what I was up to, so I told them I was there to peacefully protest with a sign.

They asked if I would submit to a search or me and my car, which I agreed to.
And they ran me through the cop computer but I of course was clean as a whistle.

They allowed me to walk with my sign in a certain area if I agreed to stay well clear of the Governor.

Should I have submitted to the search as I had done nothing more than to ask which door the Gov. would enter through?

Question by Lisa: How do I tell if my D&g bag is real?
I received a D&G handbag as a gift from a very wealthy person. It has smooth/heavy leather, no wrinkles, tag on outside reads “d&& dolce and gabbana” and is a heavy/sturdy metal. Excellent stitching, neat, seams excellent. Bottom corner reinforcements say “Escada Sport” though. Real or fake?

Question by : How long does it take to register as a pharmacy technician in Texas?
Well I have already taking the PTCB exam, passed it, and received my certificate. Two week ago I filled out my application to be state registered and afterward, had my fingerprints done and photo taken. On TSBP website, it says it take 1-2 week for them to receive it and 2-3 additional week for them to process it. It has been a little over 2 weeks after submitting my application and when I checked my status code it reads “open”. What does open suppose to mean and that was the same status code I receive after submitting my application. I’m just worried my application is just hanging out somewhere because I pay a lot of money to get registered. Also, I been very frustrated because I called the state board in Austin and no one picks up. They say their too busy and says to leave a message. I e-mail them and receive no reply. I feel like I am stuck in a bubble.

My only question is what does “open” status code means and on average how does it take for some application to be completely processed?

I don’t know personally, But I would keep trying to call, and if they have a website email them as well.
More than likely it is going through just fine, but I would be like you to, wondering when it would be here. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in.

Question by Pat: How to I solve problems sending attachments?
When I try to send a photo attachment, even as small as between 1 and 2 mb, after browsing and adding, when I click t he final “attach file” my yahoo mail basically freezes up. There is a message at the bottom of the browser that reads “Waiting for http://de.mc371.mail.yahoo.com/mc/compose?&=” and then some numbers. I do not have this problem with any other provider. Is there something in settings that may be causing this? Any other ideas? I’d sure like to switch to Yahoo, but with this sort of problem Yahoo will not be an option for me. Thanks!
Thanks Dave but yes I am using a highspeed broadband connection but still having this problem…

A photo of 1-2 mb is NOT a small item if you are using dialup or another slow internet service. Some dialup providers have ways to speed the process some do not. The freeze-up that you see is really the slow sending of the picture across the internet taht can take 20-40 minutes. If you are using a good broadband and this happens then I think you are not using the most recent IE7 and the most recent plugins: Java, Flash Player and Quicktime.
