Sabrina Wins with Serpent 720

Sabrina reports - This past weekend we went to the Southern German qualifying round in Amberg. I started in the 1:10, 200 mm class, using my Serpent 720 powered by an IDM engine and IDM tyres. I had some minor problems in the qualifying rounds and ended up in sixth place , which meant that I would run in the ½ B-Final. I was able to win the ½ Final with a comfortable lead, which got me the sixth starting position for the final.. I had a great start and was able to get up to third place after the first few corners. After another half lap I passed for second place, right behind Christoph Pietsch. For the next 15 minutes Christoph and I swapped places several times until I was able to open a small gap between us.
BRCA TC Nat Rd1

CML reports - “The Associated CML touring car team made a solid start to this year’s season with Olly Jefferies qualifying second and finishing third with his TC5. The West London venue is not a favourite of the Associated team, prior to last weekend the TC5 had never made a national A final at the track. The drivers themselves love the track but have always seemed to struggle in the past. Before the start of this season the team worked hard on getting the car competitive and were rewarded with a much improved performance from all the team drivers. Olly looked quick in qualifying and he lined up second for the A final behind pole man Andy Moore. Two good finals and a rather scrappy third saw Olly finish third overall, with Glen Doman in second. Alan Bickerstaff was also much improved on his 2008 performance, despite a lack of pre-season West London running Alan was second in the B final. Andy Robson was another driver who shrugged off his previous years poor showing and for 2009 it was an excellent fifth in the B final for Andy. The Pro Stock team struggled a little but we still saw a strong drive from Zak Smith who looked really quick in the wet conditions of Sunday. Zak secured a mid B final place but watch out for this young talent as the season develops.
RB Compact Buggy Manifolds

RB has designed a new buggy manifold named ‘Compact’, which fits within a range of cars with different side guards and bodies where space becomes a problem. As a result, the manifold and the pipe are moved 5mm backwards. The fins are removed to prevent the accumulation of dirt causing overheating and it is available in both 192mm and 198mm. RB
