After a grip of 7-inches and one sold-way-the-hell-out 12-inch, Austin's Woven Bones–perpetual dungeon-rock faves of ours–are finally getting around to their debut album. In And Out And Back Again arrives on May 18 through new home HoZac, and already we have a look inside its mildewed walls with "If It Feels Alright," which is characteristically grimy and Cramps-like but also sort of the poppiest thing we've heard from them. Major chords, dudes! They're playing roughly a million times in their hometown for SXSW next week; those dates and many others are on the above-linked MySpace.

Once known for drawing from ‘80s shoegaze and Detroit-tech, Pantha du Prince is now heralded as a critical darling whose icy German soundscapes compose the future of minimalist techno. His latest record is nothing less than a spectral ride through the tundra and features Panda Bear, Tyler Pope of !!!, and LCD Soundsystem, who plays bass on “The Splendour” below. Yesterday, Philly thrillseekers Free Energy released their debut album, Stuck On Nothing, via Astralwerks/DFA, which effectively means spring has sprung and it's time to start throwing BBQs. Wind-in-your-sails power chords, doubled guitar leads, lines about making the most of the moment–this is a warm weather record if there ever was one, and thank whatever God you believe in that it is absent of irony (our God is beer). Here, we're gifting a live version of album keystone "Bad Stuff," recorded live for Seattle radio mainstay KEXP, so now the party can last that much longer (unless you've got the record on repeat like we do, in which case this can act as a nice reprise). You're welcome!

Having existed for more than half a century, Hollywood venue The Troubadour is one steeped in rock myth. This 12-minute live cut of "Impossible" is the sound of Band Of Skulls trying to throw that off, and they succeed thanks to the truth in Russell Marsden's throat and the sheer noise in their attack. The UK trio will be issuing new single "I Know What I Am" next week through You Are Here records.

Cassette Club eke out the dreams in Passion Pit's "Sleepyhead", the 1,516th remix of this track setting itself apart by sheer weight of fantasy. The combination of clearly addled disco synths and the Massachusetts band's unwavering naivety pushes this one into a strange place - it'd be hard to imagine this existing anywhere other than a school disco in Ibiza that was actually populated by Ibizan children, rather than sweaty, slutty Brits abroad with booze on their breath.

Every time we listen to Javelin, we think, "This is awesome, but we are glad we are not the dude responsible for clearing all these samples." But evidently there is no such dude! Their bio claims that most of No Más, their debut LP for Luaka Bop, is sample-less, filled instead with probably-tweaked-after-the-fact playing on actual instruments, which adds a whole new WTF-ish layer to everything. Listen for yourself via the freebie "Oh! Centra"–sort of like Salt-N-Pepa by way of Super Mario Brothers–and pick up No Más when it arrives on April 20.

Tomorrow night (03/10) in London, Fabric opens its doors for a rare Wednesday night session thrown in conjunction with Red Bell Music Academy and curated by swampy L.A. beat crew Brainfeeder, who've brought over Daedelus, Flying Lotus, The Gaslamp Killer, J. Rocc, Nosaj Thing and others to do damage with Hyperdub's Kode 9 and Martyn. In advance of this stomach-gouging bass assault, Nosaj Thing let go of "IOIO"–a characteristically fanned out pull from his still-played-on-the-regular debut LP, Drift–which will have to suffice for those of us that can't be there (most of us). A visual interpretation of the festivities, aka the flyer, is after the jump.
