The RC4WD Trail Finder 2 has been a great Model for my build series. Im doing my best to Mimic the UK’s version of the Top Gear Hilux Truck.. and Wow.. Im simply STOKED! Im leaving everything on the chassis STOCK. I have only modified the Plastic Pieces of the BODY to make it look beaten up, aged, and making it look as though its been through HELL AND BACK! In this video I show how I detail some of my rust areas.. and continue to make the truck as realistic looking as possible. This tutorial series is a longer format – showing where BUILDING AN RC can be full of creative style, imagination and best of all.. FUN! Here is the Forum Discussion thread if you would like to see more: RC4WD TF2 TOP GEAR HILUX BUILD THREAD

I have never attempted a paint tutorial in this DEPTH before, and I have been asked several times to produce this type of video. While working on the RC4WD Trail Finder 2, I figured this was a perfect opportunity to sit and attempt it for all the RC Hobbyests that need some help or direction in painting their RC Hard Shell moulds! Some of these techniques are usable with lexan bodies and others as well!

I did my best to plan out what I wanted to do prior to buying supplies. All of my trucks are usually Shiny, new and beautiful.. and this time I wanted something Damaged, Dirty and Beat up! Time to have more of a realistic look to my Rig – so I show how using a Dremel cutting tool, and using a sharp drill bit.. can lead the way into creating very realistic looking deterioration.

AWESOME! This is MEDiC’s Personal Choice MONSTER TRUCK for the 2012 RC ADVENTURES Season! The Electric Savage Flux HP from HPI Racing is a 1/8 Scale “Bashing/Racing” MONSTER Truck. Its tough design and rugged frame have been impressing me ever since I have seen them cruising the bashing fields in 2011. I must wait NO LONGER.. and I have unleashed the POWER!

In this film, I test out the 6S Lipo Battery capability and run 24 VOLTS to the HPI / Castle “BLUR” ESC and “TORK” 2200kV Brushless motor. I try this both ON and OFF ROAD to put the Hype to the test.. IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! Everything from INSANE Speed.. Standing Backflips, KILLER SUSPENSION and MONSTER POWER .. what more could I ask for!

I was running a 5450mah Lipo set, and the run time was approximately 45 Minutes before I blew the tire off of the thing! LOL! AWESOME :~) Totally my fault, and irresponsible RC’ing.. but DANG it made GOOD FILM!! Trusting the All Metal Geared Transmission, I was not afraid to go full throttle on the straight away.. but I could only get to 1/2 Trigger! IT WAS SOOO FAST! It also has a Reverse Gear.. for when you get into a bad situation. I like the FWD and RWD combined to give the rig a BEAST QUALITY.

My friends.. I encourage you to check out the HPI RACING Product page for SPECIFIC INFO and Specs about the Rig you see in this video. It was ALL STOCK! Link BELOW

This is my first look at the current Flagship RC Truck from RC4WD, an established leader & manufacturer of Radio Control Hobby Kits & Parts. The “Trail Finder 2″ (TF2), is a 1/10th Electric 4X4 Kit Truck. Model: Mojave Hilux. In this video I unbox the Parts – and delve right into the build.

This truck is just TOO GOOD to leave sitting on the bench. As a BONUS to the long term viewers of RC ADVENTURES – this is the first video EVER of a video producer Unboxing & Building a Roller on Youtube. This was an EPiC Effort, for an EPiC TRUCK!

The ultra realistic construction and fabrication of parts, takes this type of RC to a whole new level. The TF2 is the successor to the highly sought after RC4WD “Trail Finder” original truck. In the TF2, the 2 Stage Selectable Transmission, Transfer Case, Leaf Spring suspension & a 1.55 Diameter Tire setup – is a real treat to see in person. Using 1080p HD, and a proper lighting setup.. I get the honour of showcasing these parts Up close, and in detail to ALL of the RC ADDiCTS that come to see RC ADVENTURES! Have fun my friends.. this is simply AMAZING!
