They were excited to get to the 4-way because that somehow signaled the beginning of the end of the climb. Plus, I had promised some amount of rock jumping/climbing and the stairs were what I was eluding to. But Kayla was done being in her backpack by this point. 0.2 miles of straight up climbing. Can this 2 year old make it? At least she has buddies to lead the way.

They sat down for a minute and butts were dirty. Then there was some kind of butt clean-off party. This is a SERIOUS adventure, guys. Geez.

I kept telling her that she was too big to ride. So when I put the pack down, she showed me that she wasn't. Nice try. But we all know Kayla will outweigh you soon.

We stayed up top for a bit. Busy place. Girls signed the log book, of course.

Reagan started bonking on the down. So I told her to eat Skittles...fast! Eat candy, now! Hiking is cool. Your parents make you eat candy!

Final stretch to the finish. Reagan had fetched a stick for Kim but quickly figured out that she needed one too. But the thing is...if there is an ultra runner in this group, its Reagan. I wonder if it will ever happen.

Thanks for getting out with me today, ladies! We had some challenges but we made it just fine. I hope you will go again in 6 months. Or maybe sooner.

So that's it for Spring Break 2012! I hope that they all had a great time. I enjoyed spending the week with them. Its good to get away and spend time together.

Finally ran into these two furballs.

We made another pass through the Princess Fair for Kayla but the big girls didn't object to going since they missed the first trip through. It was the same ladies as last time which was a bit of a bummer for our autograph book goals but oh well. We focused on the meet instead. It worked a bit better since the big girls could play middle man for Kayla to the Princess.

We spent the rest of the day re-riding a few more favorites. Kayla fell asleep so Kim opted to take her back home while I got one last Space Mountain ride in with the older two. It was a nice yet painful wait in line as we were all tired...except Reagan. She gains her 2nd wind late at night. She was literally jumping up and down in line waiting to ride. She giggled and screamed the whole time on the ride and knew every twist and turn by heart. I am not sure what skill that is but its something. She then challenged Sydney and I to race her home as we ran the mile back to the hotel. Then she crashed. Amazing. She doesn't care about fireworks, parades, or any of that. Just tall and fast!

The day was mostly about watching various animal shows. However, the kids really liked the "Feed the Sea Lions" exhibit. We bought trays of fish. You would hang them over the edge and the ornery sea lions would fight to get them. Reagan loved it!

They had a nice water ride that Reagan made me go on and get soaked. We sat in the front to make the most of it. However, as soon as we started down the steep drop, Reagan tucked into a ball within her raincoat and didn't emerge until the coast was clear. And she was totally dry. That kid knows how to ride!

Finished the day by seeing the Shamu show. Here he is playing dead. Reagan liked it so much that she declared that she must have a doll of him. So we acquired it. Reportedly, its her favorite thing she got on the trip.

Finished the day by hitting up Ghirardelli in San Diego's downtown. Yes, it was ice cream for dinner! Then we made the longish drive back to LA. We ate a later dinner at Denny's next to our hotel. So then that was breakfast for a late snack? I think the kids enjoyed that crazy parenting style. Reagan told me the next day that she wanted to eat at Denny's again because it was "the best restaurant ever". Hmmm. Last day at Disney tomorrow. Rest well!

We finished the night by going back over to California Adventure to hit a few rides we missed. We didn't get to ride many of them because the new water/light show was going on. But we did score some giveaway FastPasses to the best seats in the place so we enjoyed that show all together then headed home. The days are starting to wear on us but the end is in sight. The kids are troopers though. All I have to remind them is that Monday is back to school and they quickly ramp up to party more.

But of course, an old favorite that we have seen here before was still around. Shrek!

We took Kayla to this Curious George ball arena thing but the big girls probably had just as much fun there.

The big girls spent the later part of the day on some of the bigger rides like Jurassic Park and The Mummy. We ended up with a dinner on the brightly lit CityWalk before everyone melted down for the day. But they saved it by doing some shopping. Then everyone passed out in the car on the drive back to Anaheim from Hollywood.

Reagan and I took Kayla to a Disney Junior stage show. I think she is torn between doing some stuff with Kayla and some stuff with Sydney. Likes both the younger and older aspect of things. Guess she really gets to enjoy the whole mix of activities that way. So when its picture time with the likes of Handy Manny, she jumps right in and takes the prime position.

We ended the night back over in Disneyland running through lots of rides with virtually no lines. But Kayla made us slow down and do a classic to top off the night.

While Reagan was off riding Space Mountain, I waited in line to see Rapunzel with Kayla. Reagan says she isn't too interested in seeing the characters. But just as we were at the front of the line, Reagan returned and jumped in line with us to get a photo with her too.

And then the rains came! We knew we were in for a wet one today. But we sucked it up and tried to hit some attractions in the rain while others fled for cover. We did OK. No lines to see these two celebrities.

However, with soaking wet pants, socks and shoes, we threw in the towel and headed back home. Reagan was having a meltdown on the walk back because of the rain. So I hailed a cab and paid ten bucks to drive us 3 blocks to the hotel. Reagan was very relieved. I am sure she will thank me someday. Or not.

We got on the chairs and headed up for a day of powder! Or slush. It was in the 40s and the snow was wet and slow. Kind of sucked. Plus, it was a Monday and there were lines. They moved quick but geez. Oh well, the girls had fun with the 4-wide chairs so we could all sit together. Natalee could help one kid and I help the other with them in between us.

Being somewhere new confused Sydney right off the bat and she started falling and claiming her "skis were not working". As if somebody needed to start them or something. She found her legs shortly after. Reagan was nervous about the scale and never knew where we were headed so she was much more comfortable on the ropes. And I didn't mind much. Rather have her have a good time than spend the day teaching.

We did a good number of runs and I had the GoPro cam on for the whole day. Its a long video but nothing really stood out other than the beauty of mountains and being out there all day enjoying it. So I just posted it all for posterity. I can't believe my kids will someday be able to show their kids HD quality video from their first few seasons of skiing filmed on the slope!
