Vancouver Backyard Wedding | Matt + Brittany

Special thanks to John Bello for allowing me to tag along for Matt and Brittany’s Vancouver Backyard Wedding!

Everything about this day was perfect. First, Matt and Brittany were (are) the warmest, nicest, funniest people you could ever meet (which came as a shock because they are US/Canada border guards!). Brittany and her family planned and created all of the decor, her mom even made the gorgeous cake! Also, this was my first ever wedding with a pig roast, and I was a little too excited for that.

Finally, one thing I never thought I would hear during a wedding can now be officially scratched off the list:

“Watch out, the llamas are aggresive.”

I am not a pet photographer by any stretch of the imagination but I love this photo! This is Lily, who lives with the woman that runs my son Olivor’s daycare. Ever since I met Lily last Summer, I knew I had to photograph her. Never got around to it until last week. Happy Monday! :)

I had the opportunity to shoot a quick portrait session with these two lovely people while in Mexico last month (Candice and Kevin of A Day to Remember – Weddings and Events, are from vancouver and just happened to be on vacation where I was!). These guys are just as warm and loving as they are beautiful (not to mention funny as hell and crazy talented!). I had a blast with them, and I hope you enjoy these images!
