Red Deer’s 19th Annual Summer Yoga Intensive

July 6th– July 12th, 2015

Come join us for a class, a day, the whole week or weekend. . .

Workshops are geared toward practitioners of all levels from beginner to advanced.

A Brave New World … sounds like something out of science-fiction. From the moment we arrive on the planet, we are embroiled / enmeshed in the complexities of being human. It may very well be that every generation since time began believed that they were living in the most “interesting” times but we can only speak from our own experience. Life seems to be faster, harder, more complicated than ever. Our old modalities to flourish are no longer working in the same manner. The rules of the game changed with the advent of technology and the move away from spiritual perspective, leaving us overwhelmed and drained of passion and energy.

The science of yoga offers a vast number of timeless approaches for meeting life head-on. Although they are ancient in their origins, they apply well to today’s needs. Not only do they help us in with our physical bodies but also they address our other Koshas (our emotional/ mental bodies, our energy body and our Spirit).

This week we will focus on a yogic strategy designed to move us from a sense of powerlessness toward remembering our true nature as creative and dynamic beings. We will begin our journey setting a vision and nourish it by developing our courage, opening into trust and faith and letting go into love.

Try not to let the word “intensive” dissuade you from venturing in. The intensity of this workshop is not necessarily of a physical nature but rather more like water which flows steadily … smoothing and shifting all in its path. Although this intensive builds as the week progresses and the fruits of the week may be profound, each day or segment of the day should prove valuable in its own right. Be brave and come join us as we temper our body/mind to withstand the forces of daily life in this new world.
