Someone with a position in the government (hindi lang politiko, this specific person is a "nurse") can have you registered as a government employee, create a LandBank payroll account for you, and you'll receive a monthly salary just like any legitimate employee. In other words, they can freely create ghost employees

What's even crazier is this specific person has her entire family registered as government employees, and they all receive monthly salaries. Kumbaga, buong family merong allowance/ free money directly from kaban ng bayan.

That is what is written on the box of a pregnancy-themed doll designed for children aged three and above.

Had I seen this reel before joining the Gita sessions, I would still have objected, but only because it seemed age-inappropriate.

I would have asked:

“How can you make a three-year-old play with something like this?”

But today, my objection goes much deeper.

As I can see the message being fed to that little girl:

You are a girl, and this is what your life is supposed to revolve around… Motherhood is your central identity.

Anything can be questioned but not this!

And all this crap is fed to her long before she can ask, “Who am I?”, koham?

That is why I felt disgusted when I saw this.

This is violence.

And in that moment, I realized that even being able to recognise this as violence has come only because of the sessions.

The old me would have objected only because of the child’s age.

Today, I can see how deeply toxic our entire upbringing is.

They’re just not that funny or shocking to me. Every time it just feels overly edgy. Like the evil eyebrows and sharp teeth are so stupid. Not included here are the “sexy” ones which I hate even more. Nothing about this is shocking. It’s basically just edgy kid art with a higher budget, and it just ends up looking like the Hamburger Helper image. It doesn’t help they’re also always in listicles titled something like “top ten creepy coloring book corruptions that’ll ruin your childhood”

In 2005, World of Warcraft accidentally caused a virtual pandemic when a boss fight introduced a disease called Corrupted Blood. Players unknowingly carried it out of the dungeon and spread it through crowded cities, killing low level characters in seconds. Some players tried to help the infected, others deliberately spread it, and entire cities became death zones. The outbreak caused so much chaos that Blizzard had to intervene with server resets and patches. Epidemiologists later studied it as a model for how real pandemics spread.
