Coming Soon: Truth in Fuck Major

Life has been busy and full of positive change since Face One and I released the latest Sunshine Salesmen project. I had been producing music routinely until about a month and a half ago when I discovered that the harddrive on my machine was failing. It starting throwing kernel i/o errors through a read/write process that caused it to crash hourly. Unfortunately, this has set me back a lot in the music realm but I just ordered a new machine that will allow me to continue producing and fortunately, no files went missing along the way.

The creative downtime allowed me to step away from the musical aspects of my life and focus on other things which was a nice change. In that time, I put everything I was working on on the back-burner until the other day when I came back to it for a fresh listen. It was relieving to discover a nearly full body of well-crafted material which will help comprise my upcoming project. Truth in Fuck Major (TiFMa) will be an instrumental followup to Truth in Fuck Minor (free download in the music section). The project isn’t even really close to finished yet, but it’s at a point where it’s starting to solidify and inspire me to explore further. The new music carries many of the same elements as TiFMi, but is also more varied and dynamic in progression. I’m really excited to share it.

I don’t have a solid release date yet because I don’t like to punch the clock, but I’d imagine it will see the light of day by late spring, early summer. I’ll be posting a new single from it in the coming weeks along with updated details as the album develops.

Sunshine Salesmen Presents: Dyson Sphere (LP)

Face One hit me with a beat last Summer. I had written a handful of verses to it but never finished what I had started. My fall began with a rough breakup, a new home, and starting a new job. In the end, all three of those factors turned out to be very positive aspects of my life. However, during that period, I was pretty down and my music and overall creativity suffered greatly. It wasn’t until New Years Day 2012 that I sat down and begin writing a new song to the same beat that would later become the second track on Dyson Sphere (Sidewalk Chalk). I sent what I had recorded to Face One and he was amped. January 1, 2012 marked the beginning of our new record.

Almost nine months later, our 13-song body of work is complete and we are excited to share it with the world. The album will be free until September, so head over to Bandcamp and download it.

New Sunshine Salesmen Single “Rat Food” featuring Early Adopted and D-Sisive

Face One and I are pleased to bring you a new single entitled “Rat Food”. Face One produced a monster beat as usual and we brought our friends D-Sisive and Early Adopted along for the ride.

This song is the first single from the upcoming full length Sunshine Salesmen album “Dyson Sphere” coming 8/24/2012.

New Site Updates

Welcome to the new www.redlistboston.com website. I’ve integrated a couple new updates. Aside from a new skin, the site is also responsive, which means that it’s optimized for any screen size. Try shrinking your browser or visiting from your phone. I also re-architected the back end to make it easier to update news and music.

A lot has been going on in the past year. I’ve been hard at work producing and writing my next solo effort. On top of that, my fellow Sunshine Salesmen Face One and I are gearing up to release our brand new full length album “Dyson Sphere” on August 24th, 2012.
