I really love lifestyle sessions. Like really love them. Being able to photograph a newborn or family in their space, following them around to their favorite places, doing their favorite things, is just so sweet and special. It was especially special for this family because they are moving from Santa Monica, CA to Idaho soon, so these pictures are some of the last of their time in California.

I also really love baby feet, if you couldn’t tell. They’re just so wrinkly and soft and cute.

Baby William is lucky to be in this family with two big brothers. Thanks again Merrell Family for inviting me into your home to capture William as a newborn.

I had such a wonderful time photographing baby Charlie and his parents in Marina del Rey. He is such a calm and content baby. I think he was about 13-days-old when we took these pictures, but by how relaxed and sweet he is in these pictures, you’d think he’s older. I love what Tara did with his nursery, it’s beautiful!

I can’t wait to photograph this family again before they move to Austin, Texas in August!

A few thoughts came to my mind while editing these pictures:

1. Tatia looks amazing!!! (This was only THREE days after giving birth)

2. Max was a big boy at birth – almost 9 pounds. Big babies worry me… for my own labor/birth, that is.

3. Doesn’t Tatia look SO good?! I can’t stop thinking that.

4. Penny is such a good big sister.

5. Jake, I can’t forget you, you’re a wonderful dad.

I am so happy I was actually IN town when Tatia had baby Max. I was able to see him and photograph him while I was in Texas. What a blessing! I cannot say enough good things about this family; Tatia is such a fabulous sister-in-law and I love her sweet family. Thank you for letting me capture these moments for you!

Penny was a little hesitant at first. But she warmed up pretty quickly. I loved her Big Sister shirt.

She was so soft with her little brother, too cute!

And sometimes this is how the older child feels; left out.

I have the best job. I get photograph beautiful brides like Jamie and capture some of the sweetest moments just before their wedding day. I look back at my wedding day and it was amazing; hectic and stressful, yes, but peaceful and beautiful for what it represented – and I always remember those feelings when looking at my wedding pictures. I hope my brides feel the same way when they look back at their bridal and wedding pictures for years to come.

Jamie is such a wonderful person. She is genuine and kind and amazingly gorgeous! We had such a fun time running around the oh-so-busy Dallas Arboretum on a Saturday afternoon, and then headed on over to her reception venue 333 in Dallas. (Such a cool place and they were so kind to let us photograph there, the weather was threatening rain, so we had them as a back up).

I am so excited to shoot Jamie + Daniel’s wedding this weekend in Arlington, Texas. I had the privilege of taking her bridal pictures this past weekend and I’m in love. Jamie is such a beautiful person and makes a lovely bride! Can’t wait for her Arlington wedding and Reception at Three Three Three in Dallas, Texas.

It’s been such a long time since I updated my blog, I actually had to remember what to do… I know, shame on me. I’ll be better.

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a modest swimsuit line for Essential Swimwear. Their swimsuits are so cute! I can’t wait to receive mine in the mail – yes, I ordered three.

The ‘Convertible Top’ – ties three different ways

I am so honored to be able to photograph this beautiful couple today at the Los Angeles Temple. This building has some of the most amazing architecture and I’m simply in love with it. Aren’t they the cutest couple? Can’t wait!!!

I was so happy that Michael + Irene Abdelmalek contacted me while I was Texas to photograph their sweet boy, Jacob. I had a great time capturing this little one in boy paradise – trains, tractors and old barns. I love meeting new clients and being able to capture sweet moments for them to remember.

The pictures near the trains, you’ll notice Jacob is dancing… that would be to Gangnam Style. He knew the words and everything! Thanks again Abdelmalek family!

Wow! I am lucky to photograph such beautiful families! Corry, Celia and Roen were such easy subjects, my camera and I were happy!
