As an associate designer you will help drive the development of multiple support systems and have a hand in analyzing playtest feedback and tuning features to create the best player experience possible.

Major Responsibilities:

Own Support Systems – Take a key role to drive the development of support systems such as Leaderboards and Benchmarking tools that help support the projects core gameplay.
Design and Document – Assist the lead designer and other designers to flesh out feature designs and documentation for all assigned features.
Assist in implementation – Work with technical designers to learn and utilize the tools provided by the project team to implement gameplay as directed.
Assist in driving feature development – Constantly review the progress of the game and suggest adjustments of assigned features to match the vision.
Assist design group –Provide feedback to other designers on ideas, features, gameplay, and design documents and contribute actively to brainstorming sessions.
Understand and support Game Vision – Have a proficient knowledge of the core vision of the game, design documentation and in-game implementation to assist the Lead Designer in disseminating the vision to any audience.
Regular Playtesting – Remain knowledgeable of the entire game throughout production to assist in productive playtesting sessions and to provide actionable feedback.
Competitive Analysis – Periodically play and complete analysis of relevant competitor’s games and features.
Be self-driven – Produce work in an efficient and timely manner, adhering to an agreed-upon schedule.

Qualifications:

Strong verbal and written communication skills
1+ years of design experience preferred
Extensive knowledge of games in many genres across all platforms
Demonstrated ability to effectively document original ideas and concepts
Strong interpersonal skills—able to interact with team members of different disciplines

Red Storm Entertainment welcomes the Ubisoft NCSA Customer Relationship Center (CRC) to the Cary Campus!

The CRC’s primary purpose is to deliver a positive and memorable experience for gamers and Ubisoft consumers, alike. This is accomplished through deliberate efforts that aim to ensure that employees, players, production teams and other partners in business (internal and external) are provided with support, solutions, guidance, engagement opportunities and information as needed. For gamers though, CS may be best known as frontline responders when issues or questions arise in-game. The NCSA CRC supports and drives player engagement for all Ubisoft titles, all platforms, and events for the ‘North, Central, and South America’ player audience. Their sister site, the EMEA CRC, is responsible for the other half of the globe. Both CRC’s support every game Ubisoft has ever released!

Ubisoft purchased the campus in 2018, but a complete renovation was required prior to move-in. The buildings were gutted down to the studs in order to create a space that was befitting of the two studios. Red Storm was the first to move into the space in June 2019, while construction continued on the CRC portion until recently.

The two studios share common areas like the cafeteria and recreational space known as the “fish bowl.” (above right)

If you love video games and have skills and talent associated with: Customer Service, Social Media, QA, Training, Workforce Management, Data Analytics, System Tools, Coding, Content Creation, Ecommerce, HR or General Management, the CRC should be your next employment goal! Or for some, working at the CRC can be a stepping stone for aspiring game developers. Several Red Storm developers started working at the CRC while still in college perusing a game-related degree. Financial Project Analyst

Red Storm Entertainment is searching for a Project Financial Analyst that will partner with our production team, providing insights and analyses to help our Producers, team Directors and Vice President of Product Development make data driven choices. Your role will be to help project decision makers through budget preparation and reporting, financial analysis and business support.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for budgeting, forecasting and revenue topics for multiple development projects
Partner with Project members and Project Management to optimize project budget reporting
Prepare and update the monthly and quarterly project budgets and P&Ls
Develop KPIs & ROIs on different investment scenarios, varying features, game designs, etc. to assist design / production decisions
Streamline the project staffing and budget reporting process
Consolidate and analyze project financial data (staffing, actuals, forecast)
Monitor and challenge Associate Studios’ budget

Qualifications

You will ensure key content is written & up to date for everyone on the project. The content manager will also rely on content management standards & best practices within Ubisoft.

Responsibilities

What does it mean to be a Content Manager at Red Storm?

Gathering team requirements regarding content & features needed on the project
Identifying & organizing key content within the production. Ensure this content is formalized, structured, shared & accurate
Define information architectures, taxonomies and metadata strategies (frameworks for grouping and tagging content);

Live Producer

We are looking to hire a Live Producer that is ready to take on the responsibility for the Live Operations of our next AAA games! If you are up for the challenge, you will work with the Live team to monitor and operate our multiplayer games successfully in all aspects of production.

The Live Producer reports to the Senior Producer and is the key driver of live strategy for the project including the development and direction of live features/services, server/infrastructure scaling, analytics and reporting, forecasting, and player experience management.

Responsibilities:

Define the game overall live strategy to ensure it is ready at the early stage of the production process and iterate with the Leads and external partners
Work with Senior Producer to manage P&L of post-launch from planning through execution
Present strategic decisions to Ubisoft leadership at key project milestones along with project core team
Lead the evolution of the Live game services, before and after their release
Deployment of Live operations, iterations, events and monitoring of the Live game
Ensure the Live team has the best organizational structure, processes, and practices that allow them to produce high quality work efficiently on time
Track progress, help resolve blocking issues, and prioritize tasks for Live team development
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to track dependencies for feature requests, change requests, and provide solutions to a variety of development issues
Work with Analytics team to ensure target metrics are defined and tracked for all games on the service
Use these analytics to define operational choices/priorities including updating the post-launch strategy when required, using KPIs and data
Ensure the constant availability of the game and services in collaboration with Ubisoft IT/GNS teams

Qualifications:

3 years’ experience in project management on LIVE AAA game franchises or similar software development projects
Experience making critical decisions to drive project strategies and leading their implementation
Ability to drive high velocity, high impact development cycles in an agile fashion, balancing out short-term needs and long-term vision
Self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills – able to work on complex problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors
