Shane Supple, a singer songwriter from the seaside town of Youghal in Co. Cork, Ireland. Shane has been writing songs for many years now and is always passionate about music and writing.  “I Want You To Want Me” has been receiving lots of  TV and radio play in Europe.  His song “Lifetime Guarantee” was included in this years Country Album of the year in Ireland.

Popular country singer Mick Flavin recorded “Lifetime Guarantee” on his album “Try It You’ll Like It”.  Another of Shane’s song’s “The Highway Song” receives airplay as far away as Taiwan & Asia. Shane’s song “Your So Special” is play listed in New Zealand & Australia.

Nicole Maguire is a 24 year old singer songwriter from Co. Cork.

No stranger to the music scene, Nicole has played support to some of Ireland’s finest such as Damien Dempsey, Paddy Casey, Cathy Davey and John Spillane along with lots more. Recently, Nicole joined Nanci Griffith on a sold out Irish Tour and this led to her traveling to Nashville to begin working on her new record due for release in early 2011.

Nicole has worked with some of Nashville’s most prestigious writers and has began sharing her time between Ireland and America.

It might seem strange that a mother of three from Carrightwohill working in insurance, by day, raising three children, running a household, doing all the normal everyday things none of which included performing her own songs in public, decided to record an album of her own songs, but that’s exactly what Eva Porter has done.

When asked why after all this time she decided to release an album of well crafted well sung songs she explained that on a drive home one night her 6 year old son Amhlaoibh told her that she should make a record, she initially laughed off the suggestion that she could actually record an album but the idea started to grow. Eva had been writing songs since the age of twelve and she always had a passion for music but never had the confidence to take it further so she made a phone call to her uncle Joe Corbett, a great singer himself and talked about it and over the next 18 months they collaborated on the songs for the album.

Joe contacted a friend, Brian Connor, who signed on as producer and played piano & synth on the album. Brian then assembled an amazing team of musicians – Johnny Scott, guitarist, Rod Patterson bassist and Danny Byrt on percussion all of whom came together in Sonas Studios, Glenflesk, Co. Kerry in December 2009 for 3 days. We recorded the album in a little creative bubble in the Kerry Mountains, Eva said.  Tony O’Flaherty of Sonas Studios mixed the album and made the recording experience very easy going. Top that with Ruairi  O’Flaherty’s expert mastering and I am very proud of what we all created in those 3 days in Kerry.

Speaking on Youghal Radio this week with Shane Supple Eva was astounded by the response her album has received from musicians, dj’s and members of the public. Eva has taken the unusual and brave step of recording her own songs first, the normal protocol is for singers to spend time working their craft, playing bars, clubs and anywhere in public they can. This helps hone the artist’s skills, it helps them become aware of what people like to hear, But Eva has done the exact opposite, writing and recording the album first and only now will she start to perform to a wider public audience her own songs.

18 months ago the journey from singing her songs to her children at night, to a recording studio in Kerry, to making an album .Eva Porter release the first of many new albums this week. Her album is called “Heart on my Sleeve” and is available in local shops or at her website www.evaporter.com.

Dodge & The Urban Druids are an original Hip Hop/Alternative/Rock band. The Urban Druids are influenced by numerous music genres of the last century like the fun loving criminals, N.E.R.D, The Streets, The Beastie Boys, Cypress Hill, Faithless, The House Of Pain, Immortal Technique, Republic Of Loose.

The Urban Druids came to be when MC Dodge teamed up with musician/producer Warren Tivy to make an album of their material and eventually play it with a band. Tracks like Harsh Times which appeared on Fresh Hip Hop Europe Compilation 2007 &  Anxiety which was written for suicide awareness Ireland, shows that the bands subject is very current and relevant to the youth culture in Ireland.

The live show consists of groove and upbeat tunes that get the audience jumping and bopping their heads. Having cut his hip hop teeth growing up in the heart of the hip hop culture Los Angeles, California as well performing and recording with the some of LA’s up and coming acts MC Dodge is truly a lyrical street Poet with an Irish flavour. Michael Edser is Grayson.

The name Grayson comes from his childhood street, where he spent many years learning to play, sing and write music.

Grayson has been performing along side his twin brother Tony from a very young age, but has ventured into a music career with a new band in Europe.

Grayson has toured extensively through Europe and the US after establishing a strong following in Australia. Grayson, on his last tour of Ireland, secured a contract with Rifle Range Records and will be releasing his debut album, Somewhere In The Night, in 2009
