Stuart Phillips led a study by researchers located at McMaster University which was conducted in the Department of Kinesiology's Exercise Metabolism Research Group. This very same study results was also published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
56 young men aged between 18 and 30 years of age were chosen for this experiment, and they were placed into three different groups.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
They were then placed in a rigorous, five day training week, weightlifting program carried out over a period of 12 weeks. After their workouts, these three groups of people drank either two cups of skim milk, a carbohydrate drink with an equivalent amount of energy, and a soy beverage consisting of about equal amounts of protein and energy, which were all roughly the same as that contained in a 600 to 700 milliliters of a regular sports drink.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When this 12 week period was concluded, researchers realized the group which drank milk lost nearly twice as much fat as those of the carbohydrate beverage drinking group. The group drinking soy did not &lt;i&gt;lose any fat&lt;/i&gt;. Simultaneously, muscle gains in the group which drank milk was significantly greater than the participants in the other two groups!&lt;br /&gt;

Why is your health important? Not only do you feel good and can do the things you enjoy when you are well, you can't exercise when you are sick! Or even if you do, you will probably feel worse! And exercise is essential for weight loss!&lt;br /&gt;

Tip 1: Focus on vitamin D&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
You ideally want to have your vitamin D levels between 40 to 70 ng/ml. You may find it shocking that majority of the people have low vitamin D levels(especially true for winter), and you may be surprised that your levels are dangerously low too!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
That's the reason why people get sick more often in the winter than in the summer. It is not due to the weather being cold, it is because your body has less vitamin D in the winter since it's always cloudy, rainy, snowing or simply because you go out less.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Tip 2: Drink green tea&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
It really is good for boosting your immune system. I used to hate the taste of green tea, but once I learned of its benefits, I tried to like it, and as such, it has been around half a year since I started drinking it often. I am starting to like the taste(though not alot), but I am loving the benefits it has brought for my immune system! I have not fallen sick for the past half year I have been taking green tea regularly!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Tip 3: Exercise regularly.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
By that, I mean work out religiously 3 or 4 times a week. I do not mean squeezing a 6 hour long workout into one day simply because you didn't work out the rest of the week. That is not the way to go about weight loss. That is the way to GET SICK QUICK. So, exercise regularly. Not only is regular exercising good for your health, but great for your &lt;i&gt;weight loss plans&lt;/i&gt; and &lt;i&gt;losing stomach fat&lt;/i&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Tip 4: Add garlic into your diet.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Garlic is great for boosting your immune system.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"&gt;Now it may sound like it's natural that you have to plan out your weight loss journey, including your goals and steps needed to be taken, but it seems like everybody who has still not succeeded in his or her weight loss do &lt;u&gt;not&lt;/u&gt; have a weight loss plan of any sort!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, you have got to understand that weight loss is not easy, no matter what other people say, and that is why you need a plan, a specific goal by a certain deadline.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You will need to plan out what you need to do, so that you can achieve your ideal body by a certain goal time, say before your wedding, before your summer holidays end, stuff like that.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I don't mean that you have to actually rack your entire brains out to come up with a 'business plan' so that you can actually lose weight. First will be dieting, second will be exercising and third will be resting. On the first look, it seems like both are about equally healthy. The word 'salad' may have even fooled you into thinking meal no. 2 is better for your &lt;i&gt;weight loss plans&lt;/i&gt;. In reality, meal no. 1 is the undisputed winner. Why? Because the chicken breast in meal no. 2 is breaded! This usually mean a way of cooking which requires deep frying. And as we know, eating deep fried foods is disastrous for your weight loss plans and health. Artery clogging, belly fattening are but only some of the health risks, and these will lead to other even more serious problems like heart diseases. Unless it specifically stated that 'breaded' means baked, rest assured, the breaded meal will be full of evil hydrogenated oils. If you &lt;u&gt;understand&lt;/u&gt; how these trans fats affect your body internally, you will &lt;u&gt;never&lt;/u&gt;&amp;nbsp;live to eat another piece of deep fried food.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
On the other hand, meal number 1 consists of mainly wholesome, organic real food, with no artificially produced oil filled with deodorants, bleaching chemicals and other such scary stuff like the oil that's gotten into that chicken breast in meal number 2.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The only way to improve on meal number 1 is to consume grass-fed steak and use sprouted grain bread instead. Sprouted ones are more nutritious than plain 'whole grain' breads. Also, only choose whole grain breads which are 100% pure. Some breads may be labelled 'whole grain' but there may still be refined wheat flour, which is bad for you since you're supposed to be on a &lt;i&gt;diet for weight loss&lt;/i&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
