Bobby Mulkey – Manager of Regal in Muskogee

In our week 3 edition of the manager profile blogs, we’re talking with Bobby Mulkey, manager of the Regal Muskogee location.

After Bobby graduated from Oklahoma State University a couple of years ago, he’s been actively involved with working many different positions within Regal. Most recently, he’s become the new manager of our Muskogee location.

Bobby began working for Regal when he was 16 years old, in the repair shop. When asked what his favorite part of working for Regal was, he responded with “The thing I most value as a Sales Manager for Regal is the flexibility I am given, which allows me to help customer’s individual needs.”

We like to ask the managers, in their opinion, what sets Regal apart from other dealers? We asked this question to all of our managers because each of their experiences with Regal lead them to different answers to that question. In Bobby’s opinion, the warranty was a staple of our customer service. “It is my opinion that what separates this dealership from others is the warranty given to all our customers.  Not only do we promise a warranty twice as long as similar dealerships, but we stick by word and ensure that customers have transportation” Bobby stated when asked.

At Regal, we always preach about the “Regal Difference” and different things that it stands for. Bobby had a great response when asked the question “what can a potential Regal customer expect when shopping your lot?” He replied with “Shopping with us can be a different experience for some buyers. You won’t see our sales staff putting a lot of pressure on customers to buy a specific vehicle.  Instead we focus on getting to know the customer while working with them to find the right vehicle.” That is definitely a “Regal Difference.”

Amy Claborn – Manager of Regal in Lawton, Oklahoma

Our week 2 manager blog features our Lawton, Oklahoma manager, Amy Claborn.

Amy began her career at Regal Car Sales  in March of 2005. She brought with her a passion to help and serve her Lawton customers better than any other dealer around town. You’ll find that her seriousness about how Regal conducts their customer service is very professional, but often you’ll find her joking and laughing with her customers.

“I love nothing more than being a part of the team that, for more than 20 years, has found a way to help people get back on track with transportation needs and credit building.” Amy said when asked “what is her favorite part of working for Regal?” I asked her specifically “in your honest opinion, what separates Regal apart from other dealers? or better yet, what is the “Regal Difference?” Her reply was very straightforward… “I feel the differences between us and other dealers are infinite. EVERY DAY I’m able to help people that have been told there is no help for them. It’s a great feeling to on the honest side of an industry that is not generally known for their honesty.” That last sentence hits home for many people that buy vehicles from Buy Here Pay Here dealers.

She goes out of her way to make sure each and every customer that comes to Regal in Lawton experiences nothing but the best overall customer service and dedication to making sure they can get the vehicle and payment that’s right for them. Check Those Brakes!	Make Sure To Check Your Brakes. During the winter, your brakes take a lot of abuse. There are a bunch of temperature changes. Your brakes get extremely hot when in use, then they hit some ice cold water and cooler off super fast. These ups and downs in temperature wear your brakes quickly. Make sure to check your brakes. If they are squeaking, fix them fast. After summer is the perfect time to do this.
Replace tires if needed	Re-Inflate Your Tires, or Get Them Changed. We need tires in order to drive. Tires are the one major piece of your car that can keep you safe or lead you to harm. Check them regularly. Make sure that you don’t see any visible signs like; uneven wear and tear, bubbles on the sidewall of the tire or any visible wear bars. If you do happen to see any of this, change them immediately. Your life is at risk and the safety of others.
	Get That Oil Change! If you’ve never changed the oil on your car, you can see some simple tips on how to do it on Regalcarsonline. This is more of an eyeball test. Once you pull the dipstick, if it’s still light brown or amber, and it’s the proper level, you’re doing fine. If the oil on the stick is really black, it’s time to get it changed. Your car needs clean oil to make sure all of it’s part run smoothly.
	Time To Fix The Little Things “The Little Things” are things that we like to put off because it’s not very important to fix now… at least in our own mind. Out tail lights, out head lights, dry and cracked windshield wipers or a car wash. Getting your car a good car wash after winter will help clean off a lot of the grime caused by wet and snowy roads. A lot of that salt will stick to your paint job and eat it away if not washed off. Most of the cars you see with rust at the bottom of the door, failed to clean the outside of their car.

Tracy Duggan – Regal manager of Tulsa

We’re starting a new blog series about our managers at each location! The goal of this series is to give you insight into why our managers love working for Regal and what drives them to help customers. This week we’re beginning our manager series with our Tulsa manager, Tracy Duggan.

Tracy has with Regal for 15 years but not all of them at the Tulsa lot. Over those 15 years he has worked in Wichita, KS | Lawton, OK and a few other places.

I sat down with Tracy and talked with him to better understand his passion for helping every customer or potential customer that comes to Regal. I asked him what his favorite part of working for Regal is. He replied with “I enjoy working with my crew and with customers, and as a result, I have been here for 15 years because we have ownership that believes in customer satisfaction, not just making a sale.”

Tracy has been responsible for creating a warm and comforting environment for your car buying experience. “The customer can expect to be treated with honesty and fairness before and after the sale.” Tracy said.

Tickets Winners!

This past Friday, Regal Car Sales (Okmulgee, OK) celebrated it’s Grand Re-Opening by inviting people to participate in the ribbon cutting and ticket drawing. Regal, which has been in Okmulgee for the last 20 years, built a new building and retired the old, all on the same plot of land. The local Chamber of Commerce made an appearance and helped us do an official ribbon cutting ceremony while offering words of praise for our business this last 20 years.
