href="http://blog.reinvigorate.net/2009/10/15/the-new-new-beta/">New, New Beta, you can expect us to continue to share sneak peaks at some of the new and enhanced features of the system. To start, we thought it fitting to share one of the key components of any web analytics engine – graphing… and the new system sports a totally re-engineered way of displaying your data visually. Details and screenshots after the jump!

<span

Firstly, the graphing system has been completely rewritten to be faster, more efficient on the server, and provide a more flexible presentation layer.</p

Scalable Size, Flash-based Graphs

We have switched from server generated image-based graphing to a Flash based system. Not only does this free up the massive server load associated with generating images server-side, it also allows for some really neat things such as scaling graph sizes with your browser, so whether you are on a 15″ or gigantor 30+” monitor, you know the graphs look good and be easy to read.

Line Graphs + Bar Charts = Big Win!

<img

In addition, bar graphs are overlaid onto tabulated metric summaries. This gives you the best of both line and bar chart representations, together.

A New Way to Look at Timezones

<img

Stay tuned to the blog for future feature updates, coming soon! And as always, we love your feedback, so keep it coming in the comments!

CDNed Tracking Code = Even Faster Stats!

Announcements

id="more-89">

How exactly is this so nifty?

Our tracking code gets propagated to servers all around the world, so your site’s visitors load the tracking code directly from a server that’s geographically close to them. For example, if your visitor is in Japan, the tracking code loads from a server in Japan, instead of pulling it from our origin servers in California. This directly translates into lower latency and higher availability! We were able to transparently make this change too, so no action on your part is necessary – all current Beta testers are already taking advantage of the new feature.

Enjoy the boost!

The New, NEW Beta!

Announcements

As we move closer to the public launch of the new Reinvigorate, this is where we’ll be publishing updates on our development. First on the agenda: telling you about the all-new Reinvigorate system we’re building — soon to be released to current users and new Beta testers. Details after the jump!

Where Have We Been?!

Reinvigorate has been an ongoing passion-project, with several iterations over the years. When creating the service, the vision was to create an analytics engine based on real-time visitor interactions. After the initial offering, we were completely blown away and admittedly unprepared for the interest in Reinvigorate as a no-charge service. So much interest, in fact, that in order to maintain a high quality of service, we began to queue up Beta invites. Since it was a side project and not a full-time gig, growth and improvements were a bit slower than we would have liked… but then came the next chapter of the Reinvigorate story.

About a year ago, we were approached by our longtime hosting sponsor, (mt) Media Temple, with an offer we just couldn’t refuse. They asked us to join the (mt) Ventures group of companies and we jumped at the chance. We could finally work on Reinvigorate full-time with the benefit of the added resources (mt) could bring to the table. Immediately we began working on a platform capable of supporting continuous growth.

So here we are, 2009, and still in beta, working diligently to constructing a new analytics engine with a serious emphasis on “scalability.” Our new engine is built to continue to scale with increasing traffic, aggregating more data than it ever could before! What does this means for our users? New features, in-depth reports, more relevant stats and what we hope will be the fastest, most efficient web stats engine ever created!

The NEW Beta

Near the end of the quarter, when the new system is ready for roll out, we’ll begin the process of migrating existing accounts over onto the new beta. At that time, we’ll also send out a block of new beta invites to people who are still waiting in the beta queue. We appreciate your patience during Reinvigorate’s multi-year evolution. Now here’s a sneak peak at some of the new features you’ll find in the new system.

Heatmaps

The feature that seems to excite our users the most is this new Heat Map Report. Nothing beats a Heat Map to help correct dead spots in your content and identify what users are most actively engaged in on your pages.

Page Details

All of the metrics we previously offered — plus a few more — are also available in detail for each page of your site. You can now drill-down to each page and get the granular information you need, adding a new level of value to your web stats.

New Graphing Engine

The reports are sporting new (and larger) metric line graphs — complete with trend line/curve controls, of course. Bar graphs are overlaid onto tabulated metric summaries. This gives you the best of both the line and bar chart representations, together.

Bounce Rates & More

By popular request, we’re now tracking bounce rates, site/page visit durations and referrers/searches — all broken down by origin.

Stay Tuned!

What you’re seeing here is just a highlight of features to be included in the new system. In the coming weeks we’ll post more information regarding our progress and development milestones, keeping you updated on the kind of features you can expect from the long-awaited refresh of Reinvigorate.

Anything Else?

Yes! We want to hear from you. Building an awesome stats engine requires your help. So use the comments to send us your thoughts, feature requests or just to say hi. We’re listening.

Feel free to register for the beta by clicking the registration link above, and while you’re waiting for that invite, stay updated by <a
