When Ren told me that there's a package for me that had arrived, I was excited. Wondering what can that be? Cannot be Aisaka Taiga, since he had openly told me that it had arrived a few days back..

He casually pointed to a corner in the room..

Ren: "Over there, can you see a huge box?"
Tako: "uh-huh, yups, saw it, quite a huge box.." (did not make any effort to see the wordings on the box as it was blocked.)
Ren: "Go, read what's printed on the box."
As I made 2 steps to my right so that I could catch the words, my brain processed it into "Hastune Miku ... DX"
One second lapsed, and I..
Tako: "What?!! You bought it~~~~~~~~~~! It's expensive! What?! You bought it!! You are crazy! You bought it?!!!!!!"
Ren: "I thought you liked it, so I pre-ordered it."
Tako: "I just knew it back then when you told me about the pre-order, you bought it???!" (Obviously still not able to overcome the shock.) "Oh my goodness~ HAH"

I sent the link of Hatsune Miku's Love is War - song to Ren when he was in London.

That's right after I read Mikatan's blog that the figure is ready to be shipped. I even made a (secret) search for the figure, kind of regretting that had missed out on the pre-order.

Oh my, Ren can really read me.

Seeing the actual figure featured on Mikatan's blog, made my heart skipped a beat as the figure with the set-up is really a good job done.

I love the loud hailer!!

But I didn't expect to own one.

Give me some time, cool it. It's right here, right in front of me, ready to be un-boxed.

I have been forced to pack my room, I mean, a major overhaul.

This means that I have to remove every single item in my room to make space for the new furniture to be moved in. This is a nightmare.

Contrary to Ren, I don’t really like to pack my room. I live in a messy place. I thrive in mess. Hahaha. This sound horrible, but it’s more of a case where I have been staying in my room for decades and things pile up throughout the years and I mean a lot of things, since a kid till now!

So as I pour through my stuff, with Tako’s mom nagging hard in the background, I had discovered some “ancient” items.

Age of Gunpla kits

Left to Right: Age - 1 yr old (can't remember), 11 yr olds, 12 yrs old.

Deathscythe

A layer of sticky dust lie on the box of Deathscythe. Look at him, so cute. Given by my buddy during my school days about 12 years ago. This is my first gundam and I wasn’t the one who built it, she did it for me.

HG 1/100 Wing Gundam

A well maintained Gundam sealed in my cardboard since 11 years ago. Given by another friend of mine and it came to me in the al-ready-built form. I think, during those days, it was a trend that if one was to buy a model kit as gift, would have to build it too and give the al-ready-built form to show the sincerity.

Last year, I gave Ren a PG Strike Freedom as birthday present. So if I were to show my sincerity and built it. It would have been a nightmare to Ren, the joy of gunpla is the process of building it and admiring all the hard work that have been put it for the final product.

Imagine my Tako's tentacles working on the delicates of PG parts, wow, scary.

HG 1/144 Gundam Deathscythe Hell Custom
About an year old. Ok, I admit. Memory is failing me, am not able to recall when did i buy this, maybe last year. After building it, had wanted to pass to Ren for fine-tuning. But~ it lay in my cardboard for a year..

Then, I realised.. JUST ONE THING..

I have only built 2 HG gundams, 1 PG's leg, 1 Mega Size.
awwww~~~ this is so little..

Compared to so many of you out there, what's this?? Hahahaa..

But these old kits really brought back fond memories of my school days hanging out with my friends. Though my friends do not really known about Gundam (all they knew was, Tako watched Gundam Wing anime), they actually got me these kits. Never fail to chuckle whenever I thought of it.

I have asked Ren to help me a little on these kits..

He even found the missing horn for Deathscythe, now he looks macho as compared.

See.. Ren can do more credit to gundam kits.. So have got to ask Ren to come up with more Gundpla posts!! REN~~

Tis is the season to be jolly,

And it is the time show our love and appreciation to our love ones by exchanging little gifts specially hand-picked.

Ren and I never fail to find ourselves scratching our head just to think of the perfect present for each other.

At this very moment, Ren muttered to himself, "It is a million dollar question, if anyone is able to tell me what is the perfect present for Tako, he will give a million dollars to that person.."

Ren and I have decided. This year, we will not buy each other any present. Ha.

Though we are not exchanging presents, our lovely treasures are all ready to have their own gift exchanges this very Christmas.

*Ding Dong* Two parcels have arrived and all just for Christmas.

ehhh, it's actually Danboard and miniDanboard. (-.-)

Saber Lion: "oooh, i just love Christmas. There's going to be turkey for dinner.. Tako, I want turkey.."

Konata: "Is that our presents, will I be getting limited edition games or figures?"

Miyuki: "As long as it's a gift from my friends, I will love it."

Kagami: "As long as Konata doesn't create trouble, it will be good."

Tsukasa: "As long as I can spend Christmas with everyone, I will be happy."

Suddenly a ray of light shone through the window.

Elise: "Gundam is coming to blast all of us? Run! People RUUUUUNNNNN!"

Saber: "No, i will stay with my master. I will protect her and all of you."

Gojiraa-san: "Y U come now Gundam?! It's Christmas!!"

Miyuki: "Hmm, I think that's not a gundam.." straining her eyes to see better. "It looks like angels."

Tsukasa: still shocked.. "angel??"

Kagami: : "How can there be angels?"

Konata: "... ... あれ..."

Kagami: "..."

Angel A and Angel B enters the scene... eating.

Konata: "I can cosplay with these wings.. oooh.." Konata attempts to pluck out the wings.

Saber Lion: "Ren, I am scared. I want my turkey."

Elise: "Oh can I be friends with angels?"

Gojiraa-san: "Where is gundam?"

Being surrounded and chased after by almost everyone, the angels quickly left too..

Saber: "Tsk..."

Is it time for gift exchange?

Happily opened the presents and the gifts are body parts! Morbid!

Tsukasa: (o.O) "ahhh!! (too scared to scream.) But finally, i can sit down now..."

Konata opens her present to find a pair of arms.

Konata: "It's fun!! I can cosplay now, booster arms!" *clamp clamp!*

Saber Lion: "nooooooo...."

Kagami opened hers and... *speechless*

Tsukasa: "Sister! You can sit down too!"

Miyuki and Saber Lion opened their presents to find something more normal..

Miyuki: i got a bottle of wine! ^^

Saber Lion: The turkey IS my present!!! :3

Alright, that's the end of our Chirstmas special '11!!

Halo everyone, ren here. woah! its really been a long long time since i've posted personally. Just an update, its been quite a tiring but great year for me as im moving on to a different phase in my life. previously when the blog was very active, i was studying full time and i had lots of time in my hands to blog. (i have yet to find a way to blog effectively, still. xD) now, i'm currently working full time and pursuing my further studies, which explains my absence from this blog. Time now is quite precious for me.. as i spent it with tako, studies, work and some gunpla if i can afford. so i hope as i finish my studies in a year or two, i would eventually replace studies with some blogging. Really miss all of you guys who have been reading all of tako's posts.. XD thanks for staying with us.. i hope you guys have been doing well or get better soon if you aren't. Hope you've enjoyed this post by us, was kinda last minute job, but lots of effort are put in it.. all the face changes and props. this post had me practice my blogging skills again.. with lighting, photography, photo editing.. hahaha.. i was so afraid that i couldn't remb how to post anymore! in anyway, please take care guys and have a great new year ahead. =)

Hello people!

Am back in Singapore for a month but what had happened to me?

As usual, sick. LOL

Caught a bad flu that led to bad inflammation and now, coughing my lungs out.

Well, when i am sick, i become a terror or tyrant. Don't you agree that when you are sick, you seemed to have more privileges like, people will give in to you, bring medicine to you, pours you your favourite drink.

Hello everyone!!

Greetings from Cambridge.. It's windy and cold over here.

Being here for about a week plus, made me lost my taste buds. Have been eating eggs bacon ham. I am craving for some home cooked food.

Though I miss tons of stuff back home, am still enjoying myself in UK. So am so sorry that have not made any post.

This photo was taken outside the residences with "Tako's phone" a few days back. Glad that I managed to capture that little bright spot there!

Mega Size Zaku vs Tako (Straight Build) ~~

AFTER A LONG WAIT! This is going to be a GUNPLA post!

BUT!!

It's by me, Tako! Not Ren. (I hope that I won't hear sighs of disappointment)

Listening to both Tsukinari-san’s and Chubbybots-san's advices and encouragement; I had started on “Mega-Size Zaku II vs Tako” battle.

As mentioned before, I am scared of ugly nubs.

When runners are huge, it can be a good thing, but can be equally bad too.

Good is that, I don’t have to hunt for the runners, the pieces are big enough for me to grab and know instantly that I am holding on to the right runner, instead of trying to locate the alphabets and numbers trying to ensure that I am working on the right one and it is easier to cut too!

Bad is that, for beginners like me, the NUBS! They are glaring! So well, Ren assured me that he will help me clean up the nubs. Thanks, Ren!

Here are the results of battle:-

pssst: But well, Ren was shocked at my choice, he asked "who uses specs to show the size.."

He said that I could have used a key. I guess so, but it did not pop to my mind when i was snapping this photo.

After making this long and slightly ditsy post, I realized that I am not a person who can write up detailed reviews about the build. So you guys will be missing out on it if you have read this post up till this very sentence. I can keep babbling on..

I am not that organized like Ren who is very detailed. If you are able to look into my brain, you will notice that my thoughts are always very jumbled.

Eh-hem, the result: a blogpost with some babbling. I do miss reading Ren's Gunpla posts.

What I like about Mega-Size?

1. Though am not very versed with mechanics and focus more on outlook. I guess, i like the mere size of a Mega Size. I cannot forget how delighted I was with toyie RX-78.

2. The parts are so much bigger, so it is quite easy to locate the runners and build it. I don't have to worry about some missing parts rolling off under the table or chair. The parts are too big for me to miss out.

3. I JUST LIKE! (I guess this is the best reason. LOL.)

awwwww~~~ my very first Tako-Built Mega-Size!! Zakun!!!

(Don't worry, you will only hear the term "Zakun" from me, Ren will still use the correct name to address it, Mega-Size Char Zaku II. But it's a little mouthful, isn't it? Zakun!)

When Bearguy meets Bear Bear..

In Year 2009, Ren stitched me a bear called “Kumo” 100% hand-sewn.
In Year 2010, Ren bought me a bear called “BearBear” 100% manufactured.
In Year 2011, Ren built me a bear called “Bearguy” 100% hand-built.

But too bad, Kumo cannot be present for the photo-shoot, hence have gotten Bear Bear to be the guest instead.

Bearguy looks like one who likes to move around and so...

BearBear can't move at all.

In comparison, Bearguy is very articulate, the joints are flexible and easy to manipulate. So Bearguy can pose in almost any position with a good balance. The only exception is handstand, I guess, hands too short and head too big.

I like the variety of ways we can pose Bearguy and he comes with extend-able arms too, but didn't feature it in this post. You can see how much fun we had with Bearguy.

The preparation of this post was filled with lots of fun and laughter. Not forgetting that we had to control our giggles and laughter while we video-ed the spin. We had a few NGs from my shaking hands due to me giggling.

Hmmm, if you were to ask me. I guess, I am lost for words? We froze-blogging for a few months, but we kept receiving parcels from Japan with all these loots. We were busy so we didn't really open the parcels or boxes. So, when Ren started packing, it's like opening a can of worms, everything start flowing out.

Does this still look like a bedroom? Or is it a shop now? I wonder.

And leaves a print on the thick layer of grim & dirt on Ren’s table.. sigh.. looks like there’s still lots of hardwork to be needed to clean up Ren’s place..

In the midst of all the cleaning and dusting, Ren decided to take a break off and we had a slow stroll along Orchard Road few days back. It’s the GSS now, so there’s quite a fair of good deals to catch. But the ONLY ONE that caught Ren’s attention was Toys R Us sales, pick up a Mega size Zaku at S$99.95 and promotion ends 27 June 2011.

Somehow, we ended up at Forum, went up a few levels and found ourselves inside Toys R Us, the next moment, we were giggling down the cashier lane with a huge box in our hands - 1/48 Mega Size MS-06S Char's Zaku II! Hahahahaa.

Remember my toyie, RX-78? He’s tall, grand and I just love playing with it.. So how can I not have another mega-size toyie?? It’s so much fun. So, the stroll along Orchard Road ended up with a setback of S$99.95 on Ren’s wallet and a huge box addition in the “already-very-messy” room of Ren’s.

I like it. I like the idea of seeing these 2 tall mobile suits standing side by side. It just looks good.

We popped over to Ngee Ann City after that.. AND fell into temptation of course and as usual. We decided on a little box of HG - 1/550 HG Dendrobium RX78GP03. Remember my little GP03D?? isn’t he such a cutie in the post?? So we are moving on to something more serious. So we hopped down to the cashier and whola! We had bagged Zaku & Dendrobium for the day!!

How's it even possible?????!!!!

But I am sooooooo excited for Zaku.

But Ren is so busy with work, studies and many more..

I love this anime. It is a very personal thing as it tugged my heart strings whenever i watch and re-watch..

I have to admit that I was skeptical at first but was hooked to the anime by the 2nd episode, glued to the screen as the whole story unravels.

I like all the characters in the anime but exceptional for both Taiga and Ryuji (for my personal reasons). vv('o')vv

So when I started collecting Nendoroids, what is the first thought that came to my mind?

I NEED to have a Taiga Nendoroid, and a Ryuji Nendoroid too!

After researching, to my disappointment, nopes! There aren’t no nendoroids for Toradora.

But there is a Nendoroid Petite of Taiga in her super cute bunned up hair!!

And I got all hyped up, and to my disappointment again, it comes as a gift for ToraDora! game for the PSP and by the time I entered the world of nendoroids, it was long after this free-gift event in mid of Yr 2009.

So I told myself, “Okay, face it, Tako. You can’t own everything you wanted. There is always some regrets when it comes to being a collector..”

And I was fine up till.. ONE DAY!

Ren told me that there is a magazine which will be launching its first issue and the gift that comes with the first issue is “TAIGA”!! WHOOT HOOOT!!

GET GET GET GET GET GET! A DEFINATE GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

So we placed our orders online and I wanted anxiously for Taiga.

Then came the unfateful event, the earthquake in Japan.. The pain and suffering..

The parcel got a little delayaed, but it's fine.

THEN! Ren stuffed a magazine into my face and when I saw the cover of it!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

IT’S MY TAIGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Immediately I kidnapped Taiga for a day and took 23 photos of her in less than half an hour. It is a nendoroid puchi, so it did not come with accessories. Just Taiga herself (and a stand..).. Though I can’t really pose her, but I still adore her soooooo much.. I just continued snapping her on my Tako’s Phone non-stop..

A day later, I flipped the magazine. It’s a magazine for those who are interested in knowing how anime is made.But I didn't read it and don't think am capable of reading it and understanding it well. So this is my only guess. my sincere apologies. But i will try to read to appreciate the effort that the people had put into making this magazine.

This issue featured not only Toradora, but Casshern Sins, Summer Wars and some other new animes. Not intending to infringe any copyright laws, I have picked a few snapshots..

Oh, Ren is busy.His house is going through some renovation for the toilets, and busy with studies too. And driving lessons..

IN THE LIVING ROOM! -disaster- It looked like some epidemic area with all the plastics wrapped around the whole house. Every single inch of the house is covered with dust and concrete dust. NO TOILET TO USE! eh.. quite skeptical of this ORANGE YELLOW CUBICLE TOILET. Well, he is still trying to overcome the trauma with the mess the ORANGE YELLOW CUBICLE TOILET project had left behind. GUNDAMs NENDOROIDs FIGUREs COMPUTER covered with a layer of unidentified sand. HAh!

Hope that he can walk out of his trauma and start blogging again. HAHAHAHHAHhAAAAAA!

Hello People! Tako's back!

I miss the excitment of preparing for lunchtime posts!

So I have decided to kidnap nendoroids and smuggle them into my office to do some lunchtime posting. Love it! The fun of changing the faces and poses under the table. Snapping photos in a "hush-hush" manner and the very ugly background. Hah, it is great fun! A PERFECT GRADE STRIKE FREEDOM FOR REN! It was a birthday present for him. But well the stock had only arrived last evening and was sent to Ren's house today. So woot-hoot. At least i know how to end off this Valentine Day post now.

I know that Ren loves this. He really loves this kit, because it is a Strike Freedom. And my very very first Christmas present to him long long long ago was a MG Freedom Extra Finish Version. So somehow, this particular Gundam holds a unique "place"..

When will Ren start building this kit? I wonder? He is quite busy at the moment with some painting work.

care to guess wad is he up to? (ren: oh.. the decals for wing zero jus reach after CNY.. i'll get back to it soon.)

Till then... i'll defend myself from ren.. to prevent him from deleting my post. AGAIN.

0Hi people! I know! Both Ren and I seemed to have disappeared for a little while. And it's because of me - falling sick. Really quite sick that I was stuck in bed for a while. Ren spent all his time worrying for me too.

It the year of the rabbit.. and where's my KING KAZUMA???!

After experiencing the GREAT heartache from the cancelled order for figma King Kazuma, we were feeling totally depressed. King Kazuma! King Kazuma! King Kazuma! KING KAZUMA～!

*ding dong* We received a package today and it helped to heal our hearts!

It's K-ON! puchi series!

Ahhhhh!

It is a whole box super adorable girls from K-ON!

The package comes with 2 sets of our 5 girls.

Yui is sooooo adorable!

Mio is pretty and same goes to Mug!

Ritsu has that cool grin on her face!

Azu-nya is simply adorable too!

One set with uniform complete with their instruments. A true knock-out!

... and the other with swimsuit.

Yui is really really really adorable!

For people who follows the series will remember that Azu-nya will always get a bad case of sunburnt skin during summer vacation with the rest of the K-ON members. This package comes with the super adorable over-burnt Azu-nya.

Given the size of a puchi with the detailed paint job on their faces, clothes and instruments; the work is totally awesome and admirable! The amount of inter-changeable faces will mean tons of fun!

Wait a minute! I have got Mio dressed in maid's uniform too!

The size is so portable that we can carry any one of them anywhere anytime and they will add some spice and cuteness to photos! Or they may even make my appetite better whilst they stand by my meals.

Though King Kazuma is still on my mind, whilst we search for alternatives, we can spend our attention on the new lovely girls for the moment first. Till then, where's King Kazuma?!

From young, I love rabbits and I have a white bunny. He is a gift from my grandpa. We both brought it up to be a handsome and attitude rabbit! But as times went by, all things came to an end.

So when I watched Summer Wars, I am totally in love with King Kazuma! He's cool, skilled in martial arts and stands up for justice! How can I not like him?? And well the little boy who is behind the avatar King Kazuma is quite a strong little boy who learnt the importance of protecting family through the happenings of the whole summer bizarre. So for me, I have got no complaints for this character! HAH! and.....

So what happens after the movie?!

Both Ren and I started on a frantic search for the figma King Kazuma!!

I want a rabbit!

I want a white rabbit. Ren!

I want a rabbit! King Kazuma!

I can dress up my white bunny with a knitted red vest and doujou pants!

Yes! A real life bunny! I want to go to a pet shop!

I want to buy a white plush rabbit! I had knitted a red vest for it.

I want the figma!
Ren wants the figma too!

As I was screaming out all these whinings out loud, Ren was searching online for the figma. It was released in Oct 2010 and now it's sold out almost everywhere! But we found it comfortably somewhere and we checked out the cart in just 5 mins! But the down side is we will have to wait til March then we will get him!

It's a long wait so I stil want a white plush bunny in the meantime! Ren!!!

I love the story!
This is a good film.
I love the grandma in the movie, real strong old lady and warm-hearted grandma.

If you have not watched it, please please please go find some way to watch it! But it is so great that I don't think that it is possible that any one of you out there had missed it. I guess both Ren and I are the last beings on earth who did not watch it until recently.

I actually clapped after the movie sub-consciously. I like the contrast between the character and background illustration.

It is a war during summer.

Hello everybody!!!

How many Nendoroids do you have now? And well, how many of them are girls?

Ask me! We have an army of Nendoroids and NONE of them is a boy. Except for three robots - tachikoma. So Ren feels so neglected. Because we are always fussing over our girls but no boys. Something like how a dad may want to have a little boy to play with while mom wants to have a little girl to dress up.

With this in mind, we set out to look for some boy-Nendoroid. We have limited choices but somehow Ren has set his eyes on a pair of Nendoroids and he had been trying to brainwash me subtly.

Ren: "Tako, you love cats right. You know that this xxx Nendoroid set has a black cat. It's quite adorable.."

Tako: "huh? Do you mean that you want to spend $$$ just to get the cat?"

A moment of silence and the conversation ended..

So Ren wasn't successful until recently. He got the chance to show me the actual thing. At AFAX, there was a stall selling them and I encouraged Ren to get it. BUT we didn't manage to get them at AFAX, they got snapped up.

But miraculously somehow someday some-way, I saw these two boxes laying in Ren's wardrobe!

Ren never fails to surprise me with his hunts. If he was living in edo-days, I guess he would fit the bill of a ninja *poof* and I would be some clueless towngirl living a clueless life. Hah!

And so.. Tada! We have our boys now!! Sebestian and Ciel!!

*applause* our first boys!!! *whistles*

Eh.. So where's my black cat? I am supposed to like it. Hah. Let me give it a hug!

あーれ! I can lift it up with one finger. And I love cats.

And i found someone who likes cats too!... Sebestian is a cat lover too!

Sebastian: "cat.. cat~~"

*drops the cat*

Sebastian: "Ohh hmmm, a big cat.. "

Kyouka: "who are you?! This is the omnipotent Kyouka sama's house!"

Sebastian: "hmmm, a big cat.."

Sebastian! What are you doing with a cat??"

I am your master and YOU ARE MY BUTLER!"

Saber Lion: "..."

Sebastian: "Yes, my lord. Here's your chair and drink. Please pardon me."

Ciel: "hmph, ok."

*look at Sebastian's face, seems to be telling us that he is @!#@#$%$ inside his heart.*

Saber Lion: "..."

Sebastian: "Is that my lord with neko-mimi???"

Kyouka: "Ahh! Why am in the boy's clothes?? Tako, what have you done??"

Tako: Nothing. Hee.

I love the last photo of Kyouka dressed in a little gentleman suit. Super adorable!

The body belongs to Ciel and the package comes with 2 bodies - one for sitting on the armchair (that comes with it) and another for standing. And 2 faces - one "peeved" look and the "cool" look. There are not much accessories for Ciel-package. But this same package comes with Sebastian's arm for holding the tray and that tray of teapot and teacup. I guess this is because of his character in the anime. He is the lord and he hardly needs to do anything as he has a all-capable butler who helps him in all the chores.

As for Sebastian, he has a little more facial expressions and more arms,. Like those folded arms to carry the black stray cat and to make his classic cool pose.
I guess, we will like the new addition of a guy and boy into our collection.

Who are you calling a boy??!

Ciel does have a face that says "pinch-my-cheek" look. Come on, he's just a little boy.

I am totally enjoying "Tako's phone". Recently most of my posts were typed out using my iPhone. I am fully utilizing it.

MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero Custom WIP 2! Major bump on the road with decals. zzzz..

It's been a really busy week for me and tako... the new year feeling starts to fade and workload slowly starts to pile up again.. so we din really had time to blog.. nonetheless, its been more than a week since the last post.. so i better make a quick update on my builds.. hallo everyone, ren here. =)

ren working with MG Wing Zero Custom decals from samueldecals....

Received my decals not too long ago.. and i started working on it.. it was my first decal from samueldecal.com, so i din know wad i was getting myself into.. everything was trial and error for me.. you can say that this post is a short review/experience i have with this decals.. As its my first time using such decals, i have encountered a few problems..

The actual decal that you apply is VERY VERY VERY thin, thinner-than-hair thin. Unlike bandai's water decal, these decals REALLY jus needed 1-3 secs of dipping in water and it WILL come off the paper backing. Any longer and it'll slide off the backing and float above the water. With bandai's decal, i could leave it in the water for as long as i wan and it'll still stick to the paper backing until i used a cotton swap to push it off. Becos it is this thin, everything is to be handled with care, to prevent it from folding over itself and not to overuse mark-softener.. it will shrink and disappear and you'll stab urself. Luckily, had a few close call but mine didn't.

Prints on the decals are also very different from bandai's.. this is really a homemade set of decals, where you print directly on a decal sheet, meaning there's nth to prevent the print/decal from coming off if you scratched the surface. And there isn't any boundary edge like bandai's decals, where you can see the 'bubbled up edged' which ALSO acts as a very thin layer of protection to prevent the decal prints from coming off. A good example i would give is, this decal sheet is exactly like a 'Scratch & Win!' score card. a slight scratch would remove the silvery layer.

Any slight mishandling, like an uneven end of a ruler that slides across the surface while cutting the decals out WILL scratch the decals and you'll cry 3 days & night. And i did scratched a few, you can see from the pic on top, an obvious one is on the left, thick black banner, the left corner of it.

i cursed.

Without the boundary edge, wad you cut out will be the size/shape of the decals, usually rectangular. but becos it is SOOOOO thin, i believe after a coat of topcoating, edges be well concealed.

One last note, there's no extra copies of the decals provided. once you screwed one decal, you screwed one and there's no backup plan. you can only order another sheet to make up the loss. thankfully its not really expensive. there's also limited colours that they can print, like major colours: red, blue, green, yellow, black & white. there's no grey i think. since most of the dark coloured decals from WZC are grey, but it came in black. so i'm not gonna use them.

In summary, some things to take note.. due to 'thiness', and printed on decals without protection..

- 1-3secs of water dipping. 1sec is really enough, water will spread and wet the backing and it'll come off easily.
- a very tiny drop of mark softer is enough to 'melt' the decal.
- be EXTRA careful when handling the decal surface, to avoid decals being scratched off. smtimes, pressing hard using a cotton swap CAN scratch the decals too.

So here are some of the updated photos and scratched decals. so pissed after one after another decal gets scratched..... ONOREEEEE...

Right side of the chest piece, scratched after i applied too much friction with my fingers trying to push in the chest piece. scratched with my SKIN! amazing.

Part of the red warning circle scratched off, i tried to cover with some red acrylic paint.

Right side oval scratched without me realising.. and a few more spots....

Had enough of all the errors and mistakes.. i've decided to remove those spoilt decals and order another sheet of decals from samuel's and ask if there's anything they can do to prevent the prints from coming off so easily.. this means that WZC is gonna be put on hold AGAIN until the next decal sheet arrives in a week's time. Wish me luck.

MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero Custom WIP 1!

(no, there isn't a mistake.. your eyes are not fooling you.. its the master grade ver., not perfect grade. its gonna be awhile for the missing runners to fall from the skies.. XD)

My first post after new year! yeah.. Tako did her duty for the last 2 weeks by doing most of the posts while i slacked.. xD thank you TAKO! *pat pat* well, wad was i doing? i was busy with... 'some small projects'. keke. will try to show you guys wad i was up to after i've finished everything. halo everyone... ren here. =)

i realised that i cant do kits, do posting, take photos of the kits all at the same time.. its kinda distracting to me, and maybe becos its too much of a hassle cos i move my barang barang(stuffs) alot... like a nomad-gunpla-er. i make my kits everywhere when opportunities arises. my room, sofa, floor, dining table, office, hospital, while waiting for tako. muahahhaa. so everything is packed nicely and ready to move.. having said tt, i'll still try to post every now and then during in between builts to update you guys.. since i've gotten a few feedbacks that you'd like to see wad i do with my kits...

WHICH.... brings me to this post! WIP for MG Wing Gundam Zero Custom... its gonna be a short post with photos and a few comments at the side.. just to guide you along... let's go~! ^^

i have a few helpers to put WZC back together ~~after Heero pressed the self-destruct button.~~ Somehow Humpty Dumbty's rhyme keeps going over & over in my head.

legs looks kinda plain.. there isn't alot of panel lines..

the inner frame tt's exposed after bending.. i'm gonna do some ren's treatment to it.. xD

painted some parts that's exposed when its bended.

Painted the vents on the ankle guard to make it more anime-accurate.. for comparisons sake, one on the left is painted..

~~i have no idea why i took this photo..~~ to show how the armor covers most of the inner frames? one feature of the old MGs is that they have very nice inner frame details, but most of the armors covers it. the newer MGs doesn't have tt nice inner details.

not really obvious but i painted the miniguns gunmetal too.

the twin buster rifle is gonna receive some ren's treatment too.. keke.

right side, painted the back of the wrist sensor silver so that...

i can get it to reflect better after a layer of clear green!

following the manual, i spray painted it gold...

i couldn't find any clear yellow spray cans.. so i proceeded with using acrylic clear yellow over the exposed gold parts..you can see the diff on the shoulders..

NOW, he's ready to initiate another round of self-destruct sequence. when i think of Heero Yuy, that's all that came to mind. xD

a closer look at Zero's cockpit.. i haven clean it up yet.. see the huge sliver button? yeah tt's right, its the self destruct button. you cant miss it.

Alrites! that's all the photos i've taken for now.. its almost completed.. still have decals to put on... initially i wanted to use the MG Wing Gundam's decals for it.. but decided i shld try samualdecals for a change.. so everything went smoothly during christmas until i place an order for the decals... hafta put the kit's work on hold until it arrives. thus i started a few side projects.. some half done, some jus started.. and managed to finished one huge a$s kit in the process of waiting.. and atlas, the decal arrived a few days back.. so im back to doing this kit now.. ^^

1/60 Perfect Grade Wing Gundam Zero Custom

Hello Everyone!

Look at this lovely box of Wing Gundam Zero Custom!

For people who think that it is a W.I.P post... HA! You are trapped. This is a post by Tako! And this post will disclose how blur I am at times.

The truth behind this is..

I own 2 boxes of W-Gundam Zero Custom! Yes, it is a PERFECT GRADE!

Long story short, well, my first exposure to Gundam was actually from the anime series of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, and I was totally in "love" with Heero Yuy! HA!

This meant that I would love the Gundam that he was piloting and this would mean that I would like to own Wing Gundam!

More than 10 yrs ago..
And well, one day, a box fell onto my lap. I became the owner of a PG Wing Gundam Zero Custom! I happily opened the box and started building it. Back then, I was totally clueless about what is Perfect Grade and my only experience is only High Grade. Ok, my "back then" is like more than 10 yrs ago. So back then, I was just a girl who was fascinated with Gundam but did not research on gunpla. But come to think of it, there were not much resources during those days, there was no Gundam Expo, not much of internet resources telling you how to build or improve on Gunpla skills. Or maybe, I was really not exposed to the gunpla community back then. My only modelling skills came from building a Zoid at the age of 7 with my dad, and ermmm... I went ahead to challenge-start-build a PG! Whoah, come to think of it, I salute myself. HAHA.

I digressed.

So more than 10 yrs ago..

I started to build it right from the box and after snapping together some joints, I realised that... HEY! The runners were NOT COMPLETE!! There were MISSING RUNNERS!!!!!!!!!!

AHHHH! NIGHTMARE!

Well, then after some time, another box of fell onto my lap! Heard that the person who sold the first box of missing-runners-wing gundam actually gave the second one for free and this chap is from Hong Kong. He came Singapore for holiday and brought this second kit along to pass it to me.

NOW, I own 2 boxes of Wing Gundam Zero Custom:-

1. PG missing-runners-Wing Gundam Zero Custom; and

2. PG Wing Gundam Zero Custom

In YEAR 2011!

So how can i be selfish and own 2 boxes of it? I decided to bring it out and start counting the runners..

I picked up the construction manual and started counting the runners for the "PG missing-runners-Wing Gundam Zero Custom".

THERE WERE 4 RUNNERS MISSING!!!

Now that I have known Ren, of course, I would be disturbing him to help me revive the box of "PG missing-runner-Wing Gundam Zero Custom". And we calculated how much it would cost to ship runners over. AND ALL THE MISSING RUNNERS were EITHER in CHROME or in MIXED COLOURS! Sigh.. we were expecting to spend about 100odd bucks in shipping the 4 runners over. (T.T)

BUT we started deluding ourselves:-

1. Errr, Ren, maybe you can make a Wing Gundam in repair mode??

2. Errrrr, or Ren, maybe you can modify it???

3. Errrrrrrrr, Tako, maybe we can treat that box as a spare-parts box???

Ahhh! We can't convince ourselves that we are OK with 4 missing runners. So we will ship the runners over!

So that we can own 2 complete sets of PG WING GUNDAM ZERO CUSTOM!!

Pssssst: Don't be misled by the ticks on the Construction Manual. The ticks came from the complete-runner-Wing Gundam Zero Custom. I had developed the habit of counting runners for all gunpla model kits! Super no sense of security now. Remember, the Musha MK-II that I bought for Ren, I counted the runners twice! Ren was laughing his head off when he saw me bending at the table feverently counting runners..

Last post of the year!! but we're still in the Christmas mood... keke.

When we think Christmas Eve dinner, what will come to your mind? Turkey? Yes! Roasted turkey on a long table and getting the most senior to do the honours of cutting the turkey.

As both Ren and I can't possibly finish a roasted turkey by ourselves, we decided to bumb into KFC to get the feel of Christmas turkey! Like how most Japanese would too.. KFC wants you to eat them for Xmas. xD

And we have got Saber Lion with us. She will do the honours of making the first bite!

Ren forgotten to bring her other faces thus.... oh wells, thats the biggest drumstick saber lion would get to eat! o nom nom momom ononmom..

halo everyone! today's short post will be on our boxing day! muahahaha.. its our gift exchange and wad i got for xmas tt's more related to our blog.. keke.

TAKO'S PRESENTS!

This is what I have received from Ren! Chi's Sweet Home desktop calender!

Chi's Sweet Home is one of my favourite manga, all about this little kitten called Chii!

The other very familiar looking turqoise blue box contains a necklace.. HAHAHA.

A peek inside the calender package - the calender itself, a stand, and schedule stickers to mark down important days! TOTALLY ADORABLE! LOVE CHII!!!!!!!!

REN'S PRESENT!

MUAHAGAHAGAHAHAGHAGHA.. i received THESE Gundams from Tako and my sis! Tako got me the set of Musha Gundams.. POISONOUS!!! i really loved the mix of samurai feel and gundams... it'll definitely add up in my backlogs... ^^

And of cos! i extorted the Ex-S Gundam from my sister.. MUAHAHHAHA. xD cos she's jus back from London and i haven seen her for 6 months.. =DDD its the second time i've received gundams for any occasions... first time being 2 years back when tako bought me the MG Freedom Gundam you see as our banner.. HAPPPPYYYYY!

Tako says: "I havent been buying gundam for Ren because he stocked up so much from JAPAN! remember the post that he made about this Tokyo loots. HOW TO BUY HIM GUNDAM?? HAHahahahhaa.."

Hello people!

It's Ren and Tako here!

This is going to be our combined post once again!

All for the celebration for Christmas! The season filled with thanksgiving, love and joy!

The time when we want to shout out to all our family and loved ones "thank you for being with me despite the trouble that I may have given!" "I love all the times spent together!" "it's a joy to have all of you by my side!"

I grew up from a little girl who is always excited about Christmas! It's time when all my loved ones will be around me. Fussing over Christmas presents, decorating the Christmas tree at home, putting up all the Christmas lightings, thinking of which dress to put on for the day itself, and drooling over all the presents that are stacking up under our Christmas tree!

Now, I still love Christmas! For all the great reasons above! But most importantly to the root of Christmas and the joy of spending time together!!

Oh! Ren has even done up his version of Christmas Jingle for this Christmas and we are very excited in sharing with all of you out there! You can really sing it to the tune of 12 days of Christmas!
