The footage is from the upcoming Smithsonian Channel documentary “MLK: The Assassination Tapes,” according to the Grio Website. The footage shows Dr. Martin Luther King arriving to the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tenn. the night before he was assassinated. You can also hear audio of audio recordings of local police in chaos and mayhem right after King was shot.

For February, the hundredth year celebration of Paramount Pictures continues with two films featuring Richard Pryor, both directed by Sidney J. Furie and teaming Pryor with Billy Dee Williams. The first film is 1972’s Lady Sings the Blues—it’s the movie’s 40th anniversary—the Billie Holiday biopic starring Diana Ross, Williams and introduced Pryor to the mainstream audiences.

The second film is the 1973 action Hit!, in which Pryor is part of a team assigned by CIA agent Billy Dee Williams to avenge the death of his daughter at the hand of drug dealers—a mission that takes the group to Marseilles to achieve its goal.

Judge Chatham Mayor Bruce Harris: A very confused black man.

Oh, did we forget to mention he’s a Republican? You can’t make this stuff up! According to Philly.com,  Chatham Mayor Bruce Harris, the openly gay New Jersey state Supreme Court nominee (Gov. Christie’s pick) made an agreement with Christie that he will recuse himself from Supreme Court cases involving gay marriage if confirmed to the Supreme Court.

Have these Rethuglican black homos gone mad?!?

But like, how do you agree to something like this before you’re even confirmed? This has so many effed up implications we don’t even know where to begin. So like, if this guy just so happens to preside over a case where a black person is accusing someone of racism, will he recuse himself then?

Because it amounts to the same thing. Yea, the same thing.  Any opposition to gay marriage is a prejudice against the rights of gays to marry. Just as any prejudice against a black person marrying or whatever amounts to just that——a prejudice.

But wait, let’s try to wrap our heads around this gay black conservative lackey of a judge. What? What? Whoaaaaa! We can’t find the words. How does this man justify his position——this agreement on his behalf? What possible legit reasoning behind his thinking can this miserable sway back mule of an Uncle Tom offer?

Is there a possibilty of circulating a pettion to stop this craziness? Change.org where are you when we need you? Oh yea. And Gov. Christie FUCK YOU.

I’m a typical gay male with a defining feature that is atypical in my community.

When I log onto my computer in the morning I check my favorite gay blogs. There, I will undoubtedly see images of people who don’t look like me attached to stories written by other people who don’t look like me. Above the page and to the right of the text are ads for various products being sold. They are modeled by people who don’t look like me. Maybe they are the underwear models made to be eye candy for the brand being promoted. Perhaps they’re the people used to represent the typical gay couple that would be welcome on that cruise, or in that hotel.

When I see people who do look like me written about and shown on my favorite gay blogs, they will most likely share my skin color but not my sexual orientation.

They probably have gotten themselves into trouble for saying or doing something homophobic. When I see the story I will roll my eyes at their stupidity and steel myself for the onslaught of hateful comments that will populate the comment section.  The comments always sting because they come from members of my community. I will know exactly what is coming but I read anyway. After years of reading such comments I wonder if this is what all the people in my community who don’t look like me are really thinking about those who do.
