There are many things you need to keep in mind while writing resume like what format should you use, how to frame the right object to suite new job's description. You need to create a resume that actually generates results.

What IS a resume?
Resume is a self-promotional document that presents you in the best possible light, for the purpose of getting invited to a job interview. It's not an official personnel document. It's not a job application. It's not a "career obituary"! And it's not a confessional.

What should the resume content be about?
It's not just about past jobs! It's about YOU, and how you performed and what you accomplished in those past jobs--especially those accomplishments that are most relevant to the work you want to do next. A good resume predicts how you might perform in that desired future job.

Why your resume is important?
It's the first meeting between you and a prospective employer. First impressions are lasting ones. Well, your resume is the first meeting between you and a prospective employer more often now than ever. So, how do you want to be remembered? Wrinkled and unorganized or Neat and structured. Long and boring or Precise and interesting.

Main purpose of resume writing
Your resume is a tool with one specific purpose: to win an interview. A resume is an advertisement, nothing more, nothing less. A great resume doesn't just tell them what you have done but makes the same assertion that all good ads do.

What resume writing isn't?
It is a mistake to think of your resume as a history of your past, as a personal statement or as some sort of self expression.

Focus on the employer's needs and not yours
Employer is not much interested in your needs but in company's. Ask yourself, what would make a perfect candidate for this job. What does the employer really want and need? What special abilities would this person have? What would set a truly exceptional candidate apart from a merely good one?

Great resumes has two sections
In the first, you make assertions about your abilities, qualities and achievements. You write powerful, but honest, advertising copy that makes the reader immediately perk up and realize that you are someone special.

The second section, the evidence section, is where you back up your assertions with evidence that you actually did what you said you did. This is where you list and describe the jobs you have held, your education, etc.

Objective of Resume Writing
Your resume should be pointed toward conveying why you are the perfect candidate for one specific objective or job title. Good advertising is directed toward a very specific objective.

Free Resume Creator

Creating a resume with Panacea?s online resume builder is very easy. Simply sign up with your email address and follow our resume builder steps in the wizard.

Step 1: Your personal information: Our online resume builder will format all your personal information appropriately. You do not have to worry about font styles or sizes. This is simply your name, email address, phone number, address, etc. You also want to include your objective statement in this area. Sell yourself as best you can in 3-4 sentences. You can add your photograph to your resume to make it look more professional and impressive. At bottom there are two check boxes clicking those check boxes enable you for online resume URL like (http://www.resume-builder.net/benjr) and other for enabling employers to access your resume.

Your next step is to enter your work history. You can enter the companies you worked with, positions held, city/state, and start date / last date; we?ll do all the rest. If you have a significant number of different jobs, you can omit the least relevant ones, or those you held for a short period. If you have any questions about with ones are the best to include, feel free to shoot us an email.

The third step is to enter your education history. There are aspects of this form that you can ignore, such as your graduation date, if you are afraid of age discrimination. Other than that, you should certainly complete this section fully. Many companies require very specific education qualifications, so it is best to be upfront about yours. It is not worth wasting your time or theirs if you are not actually fully qualified.

The next section is about your skills and interests. Feel free to enter a little something about your interests, just to provide a glimpse of your personality to potential employers. People often want to make sure that the person they hire is someone they wouldn?t mind spending a good chunk of time with. This is your chance to show that you are positive and friendly to be around.

Filling in your achievements is the final step. Any relevant information or achievements outside of your job descriptions should find its way to this section. We like to have these listed in bullet format for easy reading. This is just for bonus information that might make you seem well rounded; you can leave this portion blank if you?d prefer.

As you move through the wizard, clicking? Go To The Next Step? Automatically saves your progress. Each section also has a spell check at the bottom to help you along.

After completing your resume you can view it in a separate window and save it to your account. You can always go back and update portions as aspects of your life change. After completion, you are allowed 21 days to decide if you would like to create a membership and use that resume or not.

Also there advance feature with which you can also add your own resume heading section like hobbies, scholarships, etc. You can arrange your resume section as you want. Isn?t it great?
So create your resume with Panacea?s online resume builder and get the job that you ever dreamt of. Good luck!

Create online resume builder with resume-builder.net

A study by a career management company has revealed that most Resumes are not good enough to be considered further for advertised positions.
Typical mistakes were spelling and grammatical errors or poorly laid out design, or clumsy language.
We cannot re-iterate enough how important it is to make sure your resume sells you as well as you would sell yourself. It’s the first image of you to land on a recruiters’ desk, or inbox or be passed to potential employers or enablers.
Resumes are a source of confusion and headaches for the potential employee. Every job is different, and every person is an individual. Does it have to be as specific as a resume tailored for every opportunity??
Maybe – but the key word is personal.
But write a resume that appears too personal and you may be missing the point. A great article entitled “http://www.resume-builder.net/” explains why you should not to get too attached to your career history.
It rightly states the following with regards to the contents of your resume.
How old is it? If the information is older than 15 years, scrutinize it carefully for relevance. It may have played a large role in building your career but is it relative now?
Is it in a different industry? People change entire career fields during their lifetimes. Is past experience in a different industry going to help you with your career target of today?
Is it fairly common or something that is “understood”? There is no need to list basic information like “attended biweekly meetings.” Including such information is just a waste of space.
Is the technology in use today? Most people at advanced career levels worked with earlier versions of software, but is it really necessary to include that you have background in Windows 3.0?
There are hundreds of “what-if” scenarios for deciding to include or exclude information, and often you will find conflicting opinions.
That’s why personal may be good, but an alternate eye is even better. As I discussed in my last post, friends and relative3s are not the answer.
Try a resume coach that‘s professional experienced and delighted to work on your resume with you, until you are a happy bunny. It goes without saying that I’d direct you to http://www.resume-builder.net/ but there’s a reason, and a very good one. No where else will you find the same expert, personalized, real live service.
Whatever you do though, take heed of the articles above. All the advice can be a bit overwhelming, but the basics will remain. Get back to basics or your resume will make it no further than the round file.
<!-- NeoCounter total_country_visitors display ...
