Today we are going through a how-to article on installing the Logrorate for your Magento 2 install which is very useful for you to optimize your Magento performance and overall storage of your server. So going through in detail this article we wish to explain to you the process of installing the log rotate utility in your Cpanel Server.

Things you need for doing this install

A CPanel Server

Root Access

Terminal Software, We use Putty

Steps to install Logrotate for Magento 2 in CPanel Server

1. log in to your Cpanel Server via Putty with root privilege, assuming you know this

2. After this use this command on the terminal

cd /etc/logrotate.d/

3. Then let's create the conf file for that you use the popular terminal code editor nano,

nano magento2.conf

4. Now use the below code for your file. As you can see the code start with /home/username/ you have to replace the username with your Cpanel username and we assume that you installed the magento2 on the root of the Cpanel directory else find your var/log file location and update the below file accordingly.

Amazon India announced the third anniversary of Alexa in India, In the past three years, Alexa has become the most loved voice service in India. People in India have used Alexa to do everything from storytelling to cab booking and other stuff that are part of their daily life.

As per Amazon's announcement, they are planning to make Alexa more affordable and accessible to all types of customers to bring the next generation voice-enabled assistant "Alexa" to their home. For that Amazon is planning a blockbuster offers for Echo ( Alexa) devices starting from Feb 15th, 2021

Paypal Shutting Down in India - Will it affect your business

Paypal on February 6th, 2021 announced on their public statement that " effective 1 April 2021, PayPal will no longer offer domestic payment services in India. As a result of this, you will not be able to receive INR payments from other PayPal Payments Private Limited users. As stated above, this has no impact on PayPal’s international services, and you can continue to send and receive international payments"

Paypal has been a trustworthy and best Pal for businesses and individuals over India, They had sent a detailed announcement to all Paypal Users in India via email as shown in the below image.

As derived from the Paypal statement we can assume that they had come to this conclusion due to various factors. You can read more on the latest news around the Paypal over past few years via this link also UPI payment in India had become very common and we don't see that PayPal have much interest in UPI payment mode practice,

As per Paypal Statement, they stated that they are shutting down the Domestic payment to concentrate more on International Cross Border Payment. And due to this service shutdown which gets effective from April 1st, 2021, the users in India cant make payments in INR( Indian Rupees) or receive payments to your Paypal account in INR.

Will these Decisions affect your business?

We can say that if you use Paypal just to accept payments in INR, then it will affect your business, but if you are using Paypal as a cross-border gateway to collect payments globally, then no issues as it works like a charm.

What is eSIm - The New Era of Communication is at Door Step

From the very beginning of the inventions of the SIM card in late 1991, we had seen the different size of sim card those are, standard SIM card, micro, and nano-SIM cards. People tend to live a smart and handy lifestyle. We know that the first computer was weighed more than 30 short tons (27 t), was roughly 2.4 m × 0.9 m × 30 m (8 ft × 3 ft × 98 ft) in size, occupied 167 m2 (1,800 sq ft), and consumed 150 kW of electricity.

Yeah, its nearly 1800 Sqft was our first computer, but now there are the different device which is roughly a size of a coin, which can be used for computation and communications. From then we had invented many ways to reduce the space to what we have now. Similarly, the case of SIM cards is not different. We all started with a Standard SIM card which was measured as 25mm(length) x 15mm(Width).

Many OEM's (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and Device Manufacturer used this SIM card for implementing a communication bridge between Service Providers and Subscribers. As our requirements and quest for technology have increased we think of making our device components even smaller, So we thought of next-generation SIM Cards which is called Micro Simcards measured as 15mm( Length) x 12 mm(Width). So which is even smaller than standard SIM Cards and give us more space for our device overall size and also contributed to making our device design more compact and effective. Similarly, we had invented the Nano SIM Card which is considered as Todays's SIM Card, almost all Telecom companies distribute SIM Cards in Nano Format now with SIM card adapter to make them compatible with all types of Device SIM cardholders

What is an eSIM?

So today we are at the doorstep of an eSIM Card or Embedded SIM Card which is considered a more effective and easy-to-use SIM Card technology which is a secure and robust type of SIM Card that is embedded within the Device.

In the General contest, the eSIM is a small chip inside your device, which acts like a normal SIM card. Which can be used to obtain network connection with any Telecom Providers you prefer, but make sure that the provider support eSIM.

The Contents inside the eSIM is writable, which means you can easily modify the contents of the SIM Card like you do on a normal SIM Card.
