In this tutorial you will be able to create a super cool Rusty effect using Photoshop!

The final image will look as shown below!.. Click to Enlarge!!Now Lets Begin the Tutorial!.

Step 1: First of all we need to define a pattern to make the holes effect in the text!. So create a new photoshop document of 100px * 100 px with 72 resolution. Select elliptical marquee tool and change its style to fixed size. Enter into it values 24px * 24px. Now click on the top left corner and press delete to get a circular hole! Now by holding down the shift key press 4 times down and press delete. Now press 4 times right and press delete. Four times up and delete. Now 2 times down and 2 times left and press delete!. Finally this makes the pattern as shown below . Use the rulers to get the center square portion of the pattern and save it as a pattern!.Step 2: Now open a new photoshop document of large size and a high resolution! Use a black background preferably Ariel Black font and write in the text at a minimum font size of 80 pts! Apply a stroke of 7 px thick and also add the pattern overlay of the pattern we just made now! Step 3 : Now flatten the layer . remember to create a backup! Create a copy of the current layer and place it below the current layer!. Now delete the holes in te layer using the magic wand!. Use pattern overlay on the current layer. and set blend mode to exclusion!. Set a drop shadow of opacity 75 % color black, distance 16,spread 30,size 15!tep 4: Using the layer created below the current layer, create a copy above the layer!. move it 2px down and 2px right. Now control click the layer to select the layer on the thumbnail!. move the selection 2 pix up and 2 px left. Press Delete!. Apply some gaussian blur!

Here are some tips to speed up your fedora machine.I have tried these myself on my system running on Fedora 12 and found the tweaks very effective.
1.Disable unwanted services.
This will definitely speed up your system to an extent. But dont end up disabling essential services(this could do you harm rather than speeding up your system). Here are [...]

Create a new document in photoshop 750 * 550 pixels resolution 72. Using radial gradient draw a gradient from top to bottom. Foreground color : #004b64 , background : #000000.Now go to Adobe Illustrator. Set a background as BLACK and with white color type in a letter. Now go to effects 3d and change the angles so that the final image looks like this. Use a thick font preferably in the bold styte.. Please don’t forget to set the bevel to classic. Now repeat this step for all other letters with different angles and set a nice look for your logo.
Now copy each letter by letter to photoshop and choose paste as smart object. Align it to the required setting.Ctrl click on the first layer thumbnail to get selection over the layer. Apply a gradient for the layer.Insert a new layer called floral to add flowers. Now use the floral brush tool to paint a flower above the text. Change the blending mode of the layer to overlay and set opacity to 50%. Also set a mask for the current layer with the previous selected marquee!.Do this for all the letters. Now we need to add some flowers in the background. For this insert a layer below all the layers set the forground color to BEFA8 and draw the flowers . Set blend mode to overlay and also set a layer style of glow with color white. Now add one more layer above it. Add a big flower. Blend mode to overlay, opacity to 30%. Its time to add the stars . For this use a soft brush with 1 px and draw a cross. Using erasor erase the 4 corners. Now using a soft brush of 30px . add a dot in the meeting point of the cross. Add layer style of glow to the required amount. Repeat these steps as you like and you are ready to get your nice flowery logo!!
