I just received my camera today and I was impressed. It's so tiny and has so much in the way of capabilities. All I wanted it for was to take pictures of restaurants when I eat out (for Yelp). Without adjusting the white balance or anything, every picture has been pefect. I have three other Canon cameras: a G2 which cost me about $800 when new, a D60, and a 20D. All of them are too large to lug around with me, while the A480 goes in my shirt pocket. I uploaded some pictures, take a look.

This is a great big camera in a little package. I already have a Canon Power Shot but it was big and bulky so I was looking for something smaller that I could carry in my pocket, but I didn't want to sacrifice quality. This camera take wonderful pictures, and still has the video capability that I loved in my other Power Shot. Canon always makes a great camera, I definitely recommend this item!

I wanted a small digital that would fit in my shirt pocket that used AA batteries and of course took good pictures.
The Canon A480 far exceed my expectation. Out of the box it was so intuitive to use that I hardly looked at the manual. I took tons of pictures and they all came out great.

There was a bad review here by someone who said there was a problem with "battery charging" all the time, however I noticed it once and that was it, and even then it was for just a couple of seconds.
If you want an easy camera that does alot (the movies were great on this little guy) then this is the ticket.

I actually could not decide between the Garmin Nuvi 255w or the 750 model, so I decided to buy them both for comparison. I mounted them both to my car windshield and gave them various addresses to find together. I found that both models took the same routes and announced upcoming turns and street names at practically the same time. One thing I noticed about the 255w was that it was updating my position on the road more often, I'd say about 3 times as often as the 750. This made for smoother graphics on the 255w of the vehicle moving along displayed roads, where the 750's display was more of a "jerky" movement. I also found that the display on the 255w was a bit brighter, clearer, and more vivid than on the 750 in both daylight and at night. Another feature I like on the 255w is the graphic turn indicator in the upper left corner, which the 750 lacks. This is a small arrow which shows upcoming turns and the distance to that turn. It also show things like a fork in the road, (ie: a Y intersection), and which fork you will be taking. The 750 just displays text on the top line for upcoming turns without the arrow. It's just a little extra feature on the 255w which I happened to really like. The 255 also automatically adjusts the font size of displayed text so that even lengthy text will fit.

Another feature on the 255w is a display of the posted speed limit on the road which you are currently on right above your current displayed speed. I found myself not even looking at my car speedometer as I could easily see my current speed and the speed limit of my route at a glance. The 750 doesn't have this feature. I also like how they moved the zoom in (+) and zoom out (-) buttons on the 255w to the same side of the screen which makes it a bit easier. On the 750 the zoom buttons are on opposite sides of the screen.

Now there are some features on the 750 that the 255w does not have. The 750 can broadcast it's sound over your FM radio with the supplied cigarette lighter cable, and it has a headphone jack, which I found to be nice features. The 750 also has an MP3 player and an Audio-book player, which the 255w does not. Another really nice feature of the 750 is the car locater. This is a great feature if you are parking in a really big lot, such as at an amusement park or a fair. The 750 marks your location when you remove it from the car, then you take it with you and it remembers where you parked and takes you right back to your car. The 255w doesn't have the car locater.

I also thought the the voice prompts of the 750 where more pleasant sounding than the 255w's. The 750 sounds more like a real female voice, where the 255w sounds more robotic.
Another thing to consider was that I paid $50 less for the 750 and it came with the FM transmitter cable and a USB cord to connect it to your computer for updates and downloads.
My final decision was to keep the 255w and return the 750 because I really liked the graphic turn indicator and the posted speed limit and current speed indicators. I didn't find a need for the 750's MP3 player and Audio book player, but that is up to personal preference. Since the USB cable was not included with the 255w, I purchased it on this site for $10. I also intend to purchase the MSN direct cable when it is available in August 2008.

The iPod Touch debuted only one year ago, and this is the first update. I was excited to pick up the new iPod Touch at the Apple Store because I had never owned a first generation, though I do own iPhones.

I want to concentrate primarily on the new features:

First, physical volume buttons are now placed on the side of the iPod Touch as they are on the iPhone. This is very convenient. It allows you to adjust the volume of your music, without having to pull the entire device out of your pocket and activate the screen. A time saver.

Second, many people requested a built-in speaker for the iPod Touch like is available on the iPhone. Apple listened. However, there is one important point to make on this! The iPod Touch is incredibly small, and Apple is forced to put an incredibly small speaker. The speaker in the iPod Touch sounds worst than the speaker in the iPhone. I have compared it side by side, and it's fairly significant, and the iPhone speaker isn't that great to begin with. However, in a quiet room, the speaker is still useful for previewing a song you might want to buy, or for playing games. However, still, if you want great sound, you need to connect your headphones.

Genius - This new feature is really surprisingly good. When you're listening to a song you enjoy, select the genius option. It will create a playlist for you, with songs that go together nicely with the one you started with. It helps you rediscover great music from your collection with a playlist suited to the mood you're in. I didn't think it would do a good job compiling this list, but it has been quite impressive.

Applications - It's great to have the ability to buy (or get some free) applications right on the iPod Touch. Furthermore, with the software update this new iPod Touch comes with, the Application installation process is so much smoother than it had been even on my iPhone. It now works how you want it to, seamlessly. I like having a weather application that includes doppler radar images, and that is free. I also have several games on it. There is a great variety of applications available from hundreds of third-parties right on the iPod itself, so you are certain to find something that interests you. I really like the new release of Spore, for the iPod Touch and iPhone. Apple is really pushing the games and quietly suggest they are challenging Nintendo and Sony. They are innovative and interesting games, but I think they have a ways to go, to challenge those game makers.

Nike + is now built in too, so if you have the shoes and the puck, the iPod Touch is ready to receive the data from it. Battery life is improved to 36 hours audio and 6 hours video according to Apple. I find the audio number fairly accurate if you don't light up the display much, but the video number is a slight bit harder to achieve.

Of course, the new ipod Touch does look and feel even better than the first generation, from my small experiences with the previous one. I also think it feels cooler than my iPhones, but obviously your interpretation may very. I like the metal back on the iPod Touch. It looks classy, though it is prone to scratches.

One of my favorite features continues to be, when in my home on Wi-Fi, to reach down for the Touch, use Safari web browser and look something up. It's great.

Overall, it was a solid update for the iPod Touch. I wish the speaker could be better on it, but I believe that is due to the physical restrictions of the small device. I could have knocked it to four stars for that, but I think most people realize a built in speaker isn't the way you want to listen to most audio on an iPod to begin with. I'm impressed by the second generation iPod Touch, and I think with the third party applications getting better and becoming more popular, more people will consider the Touch.

The updated iPod Classic was probably the least exciting of the new iPods announced in the September 2008 update, but that does not mean it should be dismissed.

I own the 160 GB iPod Classic that has now been discontinued, but there are few differences (perhaps the biggest being the much slimmer shape of this 120 model), and I did get to check this updated 120 GB version out at the store, when picking up the new nano and touch.

Firstly, the 120 GB version is again smaller than the largest capacity available last year, but it is a single platter hard drive, which allows it to maintain the slim shape of the 80 GB version from last year. More storage, a hundred dollars less, and just as small. That is progress despite calls from others that the classic isn't exciting. It still serves its purpose as the original iPod idea. Big capacity in a simple to use device.

Next, the software has been slightly updated on the iPod Classic. It now includes Genius, like iTunes and the other new iPods. This allows you, when on a song you enjoy, to select the genius feature. The iPod will then compile a list of songs (playlist), which goes together with the original song you were listening to. This helps you rediscover music in your library, with a playlist to fit your mood at the time. I have been using the genius feature for a few days now, and it is impressive the way it compiles these playlists. I was skeptical, but overall, it does a good job. Furthermore, as another review mentioned, the iPod does seem more responsive with this update from what I saw at the store compared to my original 160 GB iPod Classic. Some speculation has been that the older iPod Classics will receive the software update of this new one, but I'm not holding my breath on that.

Overall, the original iPod concept was so good, and that is why the iPod Classic is still a solid choice for a music and media player. It will hold thousands and thousands of songs (up to 30,000 according to Apple at 128 bitrate). I also backup some important files to my iPod Classic, in disk mode, so that I have that additional extra copy of my most vital files. When you have such a large iPod, you can do that. It shouldn't be forgotten either that while the display of the iPod Classic isn't as good as the iPod Touch or iPhone, it is still quite good and you can play music videos, TV shows, and movies purchased on the iTunes Store.

Battery life for this new 120 GB model improved over the 80GB model from last year. Apple now estimates it at 36 hours audio and 6 hours video.

I'd recommend the iPod Classic without hesitation, to those who have more than 8 or 16 GBs of music in their iTunes library and want to carry their entire collection. Furthermore, if you have videos and video podcasts you want to always carry with you, again, you can't beat the storage. I have the lower capacity flash devices as well, but the big hard drive based iPod Classic continues to play an important role in my iPod Collection.

I was tired of speakers and wires all over the room just for Surround sound for home theater. Then I came across this sound bar. It was perfect!
A sound bar plus woofer speaker is all that makes up this system. But it somehow sends great sound all around the room. And the quality of sound is like nothing I've gotten from many other tested multi-speaker wired systems. Bells and high sounds sound real. Storms make you want to look outside to make sure its not real. Explosions, gun shots, you name it, very realistic.
I'll never go back to a wired multi-wired speaker system. Why bother?

My only issue is it has only three connections. One digital optical, one digital coaxial and one analog rca L/R (I don't use).
I added a digital optical switcher, to solve this issue. But they could have designed at least 3 optical and three coaxial as standard inputs.
This system sounds so good, why not complement it with more than enough inputs? However, they did not skimp on sound quality in any way.
Highly recommended! Fits perfect above plasma or LCD wall mounted HDTV's.

Despite being a computer programmer for... longer than I can now apparently remember, I have never been someone with much desire to be on the leading edge of computer technology. Let somebody else try it out, help work out the bugs, and come up with a convincing argument for why I need such and such a thing, and I'll THINK about it... for a few years. Thus, I was late to get on the Internet, late to buy a home computer, and laughed out loud at the thought I might ever want or need a web cam... until now.

As a still camera, the QuickCam Pro 9000 can take better pictures than my old and long gone digital camera, though at maximum resolution you'd better content yourself with emailing them one at a time. However, it is not a complete substitute for it because even with a very long extension cord that desktop will get heavy in a hurry.

As a video camera, the QuickCam Pro 9000 is truly amazing! At maximum resolution people only familiar with older generation web cams will be openmouthed with astonishment, and viewers of the resulting videos will be able to make educated guesses about their dental health. It has a "Face Tracking" feature that can be set to follow one face or multiple faces and will do so quite well no matter how the subject(s) move, though the resulting video is not recommended for anyone susceptible to motion sickness.

In short a person who did not think he needed a webcam now wonders how he ever did without it.

Defects? Well, the software that comes with it is more than a little buggy; you WILL want to download the latest software from their web site, which cleared up my problems. I also don't like the fact that you can select only a single image size for both still and video because only the three smallest image sizes work for both still and video. If you select any of the five larger image sizes for taking still photos, you will have to reset it for taking videos and vice versa, which since the newest version of the software finally saves my settings between runs, is more than a little annoying. (Note: the latest version of the Logitech software has added two more video image sizes: 1.3 and 2 megapixels, leaving only the three largest image sizes as still photo only.)

A nice accessory would be a tiny protective carrying case because it is small enough to haul with you on trips. The original package will do the job, if you opened it carefully enough, but it is too bulky to fit well in a suitcase.

Note: a more expensive Mac version (apparently because certain features available to PC's in software must be replaced by hardware) is now available: Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro. Word is that there is some cross-compatibility, but I wouldn't count on it. Purchase the one that is compatible with the machine you will mostly be using it with.

I own both the Nuvi 660 and the 760, I'm writing this review for people having trouble deciding between the two as the price difference between the two products at the time of this review is about 100 dollars. I'm not going to focus on the feature differences, as that information can be easily obtained from specifications and online reviews. The 660 was a fine product back in 2005-2006, but the new 760 outdoes the 660 in practically everything, but there are some key usability fixes that make the 760 a better buy for the frequent user.

1. 760 has much better fonts for street names than the 660. This may seem like a trivial update to some, but the 760's fonts greatly improve visibility. The 660 uses all capitalized text for street names on the map, and the font is incredibly cartoonish and unaligned, something like the scribbling Comic Sans font on the PC. The 760 uses your standard Verdana-like font with street names in capitalized and lowercase letters. The fonts on the 760 are smaller, cleaner and surprisingly much easier to read while driving. The maps end up looking professional, and not some cartoony children's video game.

2. 760 has better rendering in 3D map mode than the 660. In the 660 when you are zoomed in under 3D map mode, the roads close to your car are displayed incredibly large, so large that they run into other roads, making the zoom function essentially kind of useless for dense roads. The 760 does not oversize your roads just because you zoomed in to view smaller roads in detail. This fix is very nice for those who drive in places with dense roadways, like New York City.

3. No antenna on the 760 makes hooking up your Nuvi to the cradle one step easier. On the 660 you need to flip up the antenna before attaching the cradle. For people who park their cars on the street overnight, removing the GPS from the cradle for storage in the console or glove compartment is a must, and it's a lot easier hooking up the 760 to the cradle than the 660. It's hard to aim the 660 to its cradle in the dark as you have to align both the bottom edge and the charge port under the antenna. In the 760, the charge port is directly on the bottom of the unit; you can attach it to the cradle with one hand in the dark easily on the 760.

4. It takes the 660 a good 45 seconds on average (sometimes longer than 2 minutes) after boot up to locate the satellite on a cold start. If you have firmware 2.6 installed on the 760, the satellite acquisition time after boot up is between 10-20 seconds. After the firmware update, my 760 also holds a stronger lock to the satellites than my 660, I can get satellite lock inside my house with the 760, whereas I can't get a lock with my 660 (adjusting the antenna does very little).

5. The ability to set multiple ad hoc viapoints on the 760 means it's a lot easier creating alternate routes (very handy to avoid a specific interstate or a high traffic road). Whereas the 660 gives you just one viapoint.

The previous reviewer was upset about the high price Amazon charges - not about the converter's performance. I purchased two of these from another online vendor using the coupons and ended up paying an additional $45.00, so about $60.00 a piece. If you want quality, you have to pay for it. This model received high praise from Consumer Reports and I agree with them. The picture is as clear as a DVD and the sound is really good too on most stations. The stations without super sound probably has more to do with the broadcaster than the box. The remote has a number of useful buttons. Very simple to set up. The colors are a bit more intense so you may need to adjust your TV set again. I received about 30 stations initially, but deleted ten or so since they were in other languages. Very happy with my puchase. Highly recommended.

Hi All.
I am comparing this camera to a Flip Mino HD....while it may not be fair, it is the only way I could give an accurate review to this product.

Box Includes:
Camera, removable battery, mini hdmi to hdmi cable (wow), usb extension cable, rubber/silicon skin, and documentation.

So it starts....the battery comes pretty charged and thus it was easy to install and get the unit running. The first set of options you are presented with are the setup for date, time, country. Here is where the first issue begins....the buttons (scroll arrows up, down, right, left) are WAY too sensitive and thus you are moving around even if you dont want to. So I start to set the date...without paying attention....and I quickly notice that the format for the date is dd/mm/yy which is primarily how the eastern part of the world uses the date. I finally figure out that my mind is lacking without coffee and I get the date and time set.... Lets move on.

The camera notifies you that you can hit the play/pause and trash buttons simultaneously to get back to the setup options. Works perfectly. In the setup menu you are presented with the following options:

Time/Date
Video Quality
Instant Record
Anti-Flicker
Tv System
Language

Most of these are self explanatory. The ones with options are as follows:
Video Quality: HD+, HD, VGA
Instant Record: On / Off
Anti-Flicker: 50hz/60hz
TV System: NTSC/PAL
Language: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portugese, Dutch, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Bahasa (Indonesia), Turkish, and Arabic

The main screen shows you what mode you are in (record, ready, etc), the available recording time, the mode (hd+, hd, vga), and a battery meter...these are at the top of the lcd screen. The bottom of the screen shows the date (dd/mm/year) and the current time.

When looking at the LCD the mini hdmi port is on the left hand side of the unit and the right hand side has a power button for on and off. The usb connector is at the bottom....folded into the body with a tab sticking out so you can pull the connector out. There is also a standard tripod hole.

The shooting begins....I tried taking small clips of things inside the home as well as outdoors (although with the weather up here its not worth standing outside more then 4-5 minutes :-) ). I shot completely in HD+ mode as there are a lot of units this size that do regular vga and hd.... The image quality on the lcd screen was superb...even when outside under the sun I was able to see what I was shooting. This I like. My issue still remains that the rocker buttons are way too sensitive and it was driving me nuts for a while until I was able to mentally adjust the pressure I was applying to them.

The viewing begins... I plugged the mini hdmi to hdmi cable from the camera into our 46" Sharp Aquos 1080p LCD Panel. The playback was indeed 720p/1080i as the unit should do. It was flawless and the quality of the video stunned me. I loved it. It was comprable to the Flip Mino HD. Of course, I need help with my stability...since I noticed that movement was apparent...but hey this is no image stabilization camera... HAHA!

All that being said, Creative has created a great HD Pocket Camcorder.

What I liked:

What I diskliked (which is why its 4/5):
The buttons (right left up down) are way too sensitive for my needs.

Computer Connectivity:
MAC OS X Leopard:
No drivers needed.
Showed up as a usb Volume immediately.
iPhoto automatically detected camera and came up with import options.
Video Played in Quicktime. Awesome!
Was also able to browse to the camera and manually open AVI file.

Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit operating systems tested)
Drivers installed automatically.
I did not need the Creative software on the device.
I was able to browse (windows explorer) to the Vado and open the AVI file in Windows Media Player. I love this functionality. I dont like cluttered software on my machine if I dont need it.

In case you are wondering...I am a cross platform user and thus I can review gadgets like the Vado and give accurate reviews. This unit would have earned a 5/5 but I am not quite there on the rocker buttons...

hello, my name is Ben. I'm a 29-year-old quadriplegic (paralyzed from the chest down, all four limbs affected. I can move my arms pretty well, but I have no use of my fingers and they are contracted.)

Without the use of my fingers you can imagine how difficult reading books could be, but I loved reading and I found ways. I had a surgery about two years ago on my midsection which made it impossible to tolerate the weight of heavy books, and without the use of my fingers paperbacks were not an option (they would simply fall off the book holder when I tried to turn a page.)

Into my life comes the Kindle. That was back in December when I got the Kindle 1. I literally shed tears as I realized Amazon had given me back the passion that had been stripped away from me after my surgery just as my mobility had been taken away 14 years earlier. Now just a few months later we have an upgrade. I feared an upgrade with a sleeker design would be the end of its handicap accessibility. I am here today to tell anyone with disabilities nothing could be further from the truth. For those of us with poor dexterity the five way controller can be manipulated easily with a knuckle, or even the side of your hand since the controller sits just slightly above the other buttons. This for me was a major improvement accessibility wise from the first unit since trying to push the button with my knuckle would often scroll down and select the wrong thing. The five way controller also takes very little force to push, I was often afraid of breaking the Kindle 1 with how hard I had to push on the wheel with the side of my hand.

I love reading the newspaper every day, but reporters love to push the boundaries of our vocabularies, but the Kindle 2 dictionary is right there to keep us reading, and make sure we know exactly what we are reading so we don't misinterpret anything. The improved dictionary lookup is amazing. I no longer have to go to a menu and look up an entire lines worth of words. I just use the controller and go to the word I want and the definition is on the bottom of the screen :-)

We can now access the Internet without turning over the Kindle to flip a switch :-) you just go to the menu and turn on the wireless. I couldn't tell you how many times I wanted to look something up I was reading in the newspaper only to find out I didn't have the wireless on. Turning it on then would've required me to call my caregiver, have them turn it on, leave the room while I did my research, and then call them back to turn it off. Thank you very much for the great improvement :-)

The buttons are a little smaller, but not so small that they are not accessible. I can still easily hit the buttons with the side of my hand. The only real difference is now when my caregivers put the Kindle away for me they don't accidentally turn pages, or click a button and say "I didn't mess anything up did I?"

Speaking of pushing buttons I loved reading magazines on my Kindle 1, the only problem was I didn't want to read every single article, and being disabled it was just a little inconvenient to have to keep clicking the wheel to get to the menus to scroll through the magazine. So what did my good friends at Amazon do for me? Well they went and made it so if I don't like the article I'm reading I just have to push my little joystick to the left or right one time to go to another article :-)

Some people miss the memory card slot. I myself did not start reading e-books until the Kindle, and I have no problem with their prices for books. Since the device can hold 1500 titles and whatever erase from the device to make room is backed up at Amazon I have no complaints in that department. Anyway if I do find other e-books I like I can simply e-mail them to my Kindle :-)

Yes we have to send our Kindle to Amazon to replace the battery, being disabled this is actually a convenience for me, and there are also a lot of music devices out there that you have to do the same thing. So I will not complain about this either :-)

If I knew the e-mail address for Jeff Bezos I would happily send him this review that I will also be posting in the forums so he would personally know that he has truly changed one man's life for the better, that this device for some of us will not just be incredibly convenient, but that it will be life altering.

In my profile is a picture of me holding the Kindle 2 reading one of my favorite books :-) I hope the picture shows accurately how easy it is for people with disabilities to use. I just put a pillow on my midsection so the book will have something to lean against while I turn the page with my knuckle.

As Internet connections have matured to faster and faster broadband pipelines, webcam manufacturers have been keeping pace with higher resolutions and improved optics to take advantage of the larger bandwidth. And more than just communicating over chat and VoIP, webcams are increasingly used to broadcast Truman Show-esque live video feeds of one's every move (such as at Justin.tv) as well as high-quality mini-movies uploaded to sharing sites. And that's where the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 really shines, with its 2-megapixel image sensor, smooth-tracking autofocus, high-end Carl Zeiss optics, and HD video capabilities (with the capability of recording video at 960 by 720 pixels).

The combination of Logitech's RightLight technology and 2-megapixel Carl Zeiss optics produce improved clarity and lighting (Pro 9000 on the left, MacBook integrated camera on right--both captured in the same lighting conditions).

Add a variety of special effects from filters (above) to facial accessories (below).

First, a little about Logitech's touted technological and optical advantages. Designed by Carl Zeiss (known for high-end film and digital camera lenses), the Pro 9000's optics use a five-element lens arranged into four optical elements. As a result, the lens focuses the light onto the sensor with maximum detail and minimal aberrations. The 2-megapixel lens also offers an autofocus mechanism that automatically adjusts as your face moves about. It also incorporates Logitech's RightLight and RightSound technologies, which improves the webcam's image quality under difficult lighting conditions and provides noise cancellation, respectively.

We found the autofocus feature to be much smoother than another similarly specced webcam from Creative that we previously reviewed (which felt stuttery to our video chat partners), and the RightLight feature was able to render an image of our face in both highly backlit and low-light situations--something that other webcams we've tested have completely failed at. And the combination of RightLight, Carl Zeiss optics, and the two-megapixel sensor helped to enrich both the clarity and the color of our images.

While it's true that broadband Internet has gained speed, unfortunately none of the major chat or VoIP programs are can stream the high-definition video (960 by 720 pixels) that the Pro 9000 can capture. Thus, this feature is really only usable for recording video to your hard drive and either uploading to a video sharing service like YouTube or for inclusion into a movie project to be burned to disc. The Pro 9000 also enables you to take still images at larger than its native 2-megapixel sensor via software interpolation (up to an 8-megapixel resolution). Note, however, that shooting at a higher resolution causes a lengthier shutter lag.

The Pro 9000 offers easy plug-and-play operability on either a Windows PC or a Mac--just slide in the USB 2.0 plug, select the camera from your chosen video chatting program (it works seamlessly with Skype, Yahoo!, Windows Live, SightSpeed, and iChat), and you're good to go. While the Pro 9000 works brilliantly right out of the box, you'll only be able to take advantage of software add-ons such using the included QuickCam software (which is for Windows users only).

The QuickCam Control Panel is where you can select from a host of special effect add-ons that range from a selection of avatars (such as a dinosaur or cat) to facial accessories (including a crown and Borg hardware), and a variety of filter effects. The avatars didn't seem especially responsive unless we were overly hyperactive, but the limited face add-ons and filters were more successful (with our favorite being the rotoscope animation effect).

The double-hinged clip on the back of the lightweight Pro 9000 can be articulated to fit both the thinnest notebook screens to thicker LCD TV/monitors. A rubberized is placed right below the camera housing to help prevent slippage, and the camera itself can smoothly tilt up and down about 90 degrees. The Pro 9000 has a single microphone on its right side, and while the left side has a control button that automatically opens the Logitech QuickCam software. And in the middle is a Logitech logo, which is given a red glowing halo when the camera is recording. It uses a single USB connection that does not require external power.

With its arsenal of optical advancements combined with an invitingly affordable price tag and easy portability, the QuickCam Pro 9000 is a great alternative to the standard VGA/1.3-megapixel cams built into notebooks. --Agen G.N. Schmitz

The Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 is one of the better webcams I have had the opportunity to use over the years. Its stylish design fits easily on top of my LCD screen, while its functionality and features continue to impress. However, Vista functionality can be an adventure at a few times.

First, let's talk about the good -- picture quality. Let me put it to you think way: This webcam works better than my high priced Sony Camcorder at picking up video in low-light settings. I was simply amazed the first time I used it in a room with compact flourescents in the middle of the night and had such remarkable clarity and picture quality. Logitech credits this ability with something they call RightLight technology (in the video review I get it backwards -- sorry Logitech!). Whatever you want to call it, it's one of the features that definitely makes this webcam stand above the rest.

Next, the optics themselves are impressive. The 9000 utilized Carl Zeiss optics and you can tell the difference between this webcam and others. If you want to find out what makes Carl Zeiss optics so good, I encourage you to do a quick internet search or visit Wikipedia to look it up. It's hard to describe in text how this optics setup helps -- this is definitely something you have to see to believe.

Overall, I found it worked well with all the major instant messaging applications -- AOL, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo. It also worked very well as a stand-alone camera taking incredible video and decent still shots -- but remember, if you want to take a lot of still shots the quality you get from a product like this is fair at best compared to what you will get with a decent digital camera.

Now, let's talk about a few things that weren't so good about this webcam. The biggest struggle I had was with Windows Vista. Even though the box proclaims it is certified for Vista, I had numerous driver issues. The Logitech 9000 worked in Vista just fine, but for some reason at random intervals it wanted to re-install its drivers. One thing you should know if you purchase this camera is that when installing it you will want to make sure you have the installation program check for updates. I found there were two driver updates for the camera during install. However, even with these updates I continue to have that random re-installation issue.

The "helper application" that comes with the 9000 lets you do a lot of things -- such as configure the webcam, add effects, etc. Although I had no problem configuring it I never got the effects to work. However, this wasn't a big deal for me as I have no use for the special effects.

Overall, if you are looking for a quality webcam that can produce terrific results I highly recommend the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000. Just be aware of potential Vista issues (which hopefully Logitech will solve). Other than that it's so easy to use even beginners to computers will be able to get it up and running in no time. A quality webcam at a good price considering all of its features.

This review is for the benefit of Mac users, not Windows. I bought the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and the Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision to choose a web camera for an iMac G5 2.0GHz, the generation immediately before the G5 iMac with the built-in iSight camera. And I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.1, the most updated (to date) Leopard. There is currently a camera for sale at Apple retail stores that is labeled the Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision MP, for Macs. It is the same hardware as the Ultra Vision and Ultra Vision SE for Windows; all the Ultra Vision cameras differ only in cosmetics, color--they're all the same hardware.

On a Mac, the cameras both run on the built-in Apple drivers. There are no Logitech drivers, no Logitech software. Therefore none of the Logitech special effects or light and sound management that the box lists work for Mac users. No autofocus, no RightLight2, no RightSound. Kind of a drag. In addition, there is no ability to manage color, light balance, etc., from any operating system software on the Mac or from Logitech. This is pure plug-and-play, and you get only the most basic functionality: The camera and microphone work (not sure about quality of sound on receiving end) to deliver picture and sound, neither tunable with what is in the box.

What the two cameras have in common is that they work for Mac users. According to what I've read, any camera that is labeled as Microsoft Windows Vista-compatible or UVC (USB Video Class) will work just as these do in Mac OS X, with this prereq: You have to have OS X 10.4.9 minimum. Tiger (OS X 10.4) is currently at 10.4.11; Leopard is at 10.5.1. Both will support video and sound on UVC cameras.

That said, the Pro 9000 and Ultra Vision differ in some significant ways. The focus on the Pro 9000 (P9K hereafter) is tighter than on the Ultra Vision (UV hereafter). The focus on the UV is comparatively lower in resolution; you can see jaggies on straight lines on either camera, but they're pretty visible on the UV, and you have to look for them on the P9K. I would say the P9K is definitely superior, and neither is as good as the iSight cameras built into any of the current Mac lines (but then, if you had a Mac with iSight, you wouldn't be reading this). The P9K's resolution is finer than the UV.

As to color I would say that if I could have a compromise between the two cameras, the UV and the Pro 9000, it would be better than either. The Pro 9000 color/exposure is a bit washed out; the UV is a bit dim. E.g., a blue pinpoint oxford shirt looks barely blue on the Pro 9000, and much more saturated on the UV. The entirety of the UV's color tilts heavily toward blue, while the Pro 9000 goes more toward yellow. (I would be curious to know if the color balance varies by model or by individual camera. I'd also love to see if other brands, say, Creative Labs, differ too.) Both cameras adjust to changing light, but in low light the Pro 9000 is not just a little but significantly better; in very low light, the UV nearly blacks out, while screen light is enough for the PK9 to deliver a passable image, albeit with low frame rate and lots and lots of motion blur.

Note that on a G5 or earlier (any non-Intel Mac), the support for iChat and PhotoBooth's effects is limited--specifically, they'll do the first two panels (color effects, including charcoal, Andy Warhol-ish, X-ray, B/W, sepia, and the pinch, swirl, and similar effects), but none of the backdrop effects, either still or moving.

I found both to work with iChat, PhotoBooth, Skype, and several of the shareware camera apps available. So I would say they work, period.

While neither Apple nor Logitech provides much more support for cameras, eCamm.com has a bevy of camera titles that provide extra power for web cameras on non-Intel Mac hardware. iGlasses, PowerBoost, and a couple other titles provide color tuning, restore some of the effects capabilities that PPC Macs don't get in iChat and PhotoBooth, and provide recordability with QuickTime output. They do good work. iGlasses provides some control over brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, gamma, sharpness, gain, white balance. I didn't find these to really improve the images on the P9K, but they did help the UV. Once you get a camera, you may want to get some of eCamm's software.

They have got this one right.. That is for sure...
I had the previous Logitech Pro 5000 and this one beats that one (which is also good) miles away !!

The quality that I have all my family and friends reporting on Skype is just asthonishing.
Because of that, I got a 2nd one and start using it myself during all my trips and I could see the diference from the previous one.

The range of colors is what calls the attention, very good in bringing the true colors of the place you are without have to deal with the controls of it.

The Auto Focus on it is just something to bring the attention to, since you can acctually get close up on stuff that other cameras would not pick up.
I could even show what I had on my monitor to friends and they were able to read it ! (using Skype)

The lens are just great (All sony cybershot's uses the same lens if that tells you anything !!), to which I believe is also the reason for all this image perfecion they have reached with the camera.

And the sound is really good, with eco cancelation and all the bells and whistles.

I mainly use it for web conference, but if you would like to make videos and send them out, that does the job with an A+!!

You will be satisfied with this one, and the price is worht the equipment you are going to get...

That's why I got 2 of those already for my family !

This cordless mouse simply feels great in my hand. I've owned about 10 different mouses and this one pleases me because it feels like part of my hand rather than part of the PC. I find that my thumb moves the trackball effortlessly while my index finger shifts almost without thought between the wheel and buttons. I seem to get consistent communication between the mouse and the receiver as I've not noticed any performance problems. Batteries last about a year and the mouse tells you when they are getting low by posting an alert.

Also, I share this mouse with my two children. It's been dropped on a hardwood floor more than I probably know about. And it still works.

Excellent design and reliable service. I hope this review helps.

I had the original TrackMan Wheel mouse (with a cord) and loved it. I regretted letting my mother-in-law have it the very second I agreed to it.

I purchased this one as a replacement once I realised I didnt like a normal mouse any more. Plus I purchased a laptop and thought the cordless would be handy.

This model works excellent and is great for use at home with a desktop computer. Unfortunately, it doesnt mention in the description or photo that the receiver which plugs into the USB port is HUGE, its almsost as big as the mouse itself. The size of the receiver and length of cord that comes with it is the same as having a mouse, completely defeating most of the purpose of a cordless mouse. It is too bulky to carry around and setup on my laptop like I had hoped. The receiver is much larger than the ones that come on the other cordless mice I have seen.

If you like the TrackMan Wheel I highly recomend this one, it is top quality and functions flawlessly, as long as you dont want to rely on portability. If you plan on carrying it with your laptop, I would recomend a different cordless mouse.

One of the most popular pastimes in Singapore - after shopping, of course - is sending SMS messages on a mobile phone. The kids here really have trained thumbs. It's a good qualification for users of the Logitech TrackMan.

This gadget helped me clean up my desk - one cable less, mouse-pad out of the way. My two-year-old loves the red trackball although he misses yanking at the mouse cord. However, my PC co-user (and wife) cannot get used to the new toy. The shape of the Logitech TrackMan is too large for her hand, and she simply hates moving the cursor with the trackball. I have to plug in the traditional mouse for her whenever she wants to use the PC (the software supplied with the Logitech TrackMan handles this operation nicely, no big deal).

I'm quite happy with the Logitech TrackMan, but it has some weaknesses: (1) the sender unit has to be on the table for the mouse to receive the signals properly. It can not be placed too far away from the mouse; (2) for precision work the traditional mouse is superior to a trackball device - moving the cursor with a movement of the mouse-on-a-cord yields more precise results than using the thumb on the trackball, especially for click-and-drag operations; (3) speed - I move the cursor faster with the old mouse-on-a-cord.

Bottom-line: a product with good value for its price, very useful if you have only limited space on your desk - but you have to get used to it. One thumb up (the left one, the right one is on the trackball).

Just like the 5000 series cameras before these (the "9000" series), Logitech has built a camera that puts out superb video (this one's video is better than the 5000 series, and those were better than the 4000 series).
However, the software, lack of control, and enormous pile of bloatware that gets installed with the camera, coupled with its enormous system resource demands, make this another clunker.

First, the good:
Color and picture quality are outstanding (although focus is not good - more on this below). The new support for large quasi-hi-def picture sizes produces amazing images.

Now, the bad:

Machine resources:

You better have a FAST machine. And I mean FAST, like a Core 2 Duo, or forget it. A simple 320x240 capture/preview (not even writing the video to disk) sucks down 10% more CPU on a P4 2.4 GHz machine with Windows XP Pro, than the old 4000 series cameras did.

Holy cow --- a 2-way 30 fps 352x288 video conference with the older 4000 series camera would use 55% CPU on my test machine. With this camera, it's about 80% and that's with auto focus, auto-white-balance, auto everything turned OFF and NOT using the audio from the camera.

This is just like the 5000. And just like the 5000 series, once THIS camera's driver has been installed, even the older 4000 Logitech camera now uses CPU like a pig (this thing overwrites DLLs that the older cameras also use).

I've been down this road before. The only way to make the older camera work efficiently again will be to completely uninstall this thing, and reinstall the old driver.

Support for other applications:

I only test these cameras using Amcap and Vidcap32 (the ubiquitous, standard, simple, generic Windows capture apps) and our own custom-written videoconferencing code that I wrote myself. So I have nothing to say about Skype, IM, etc.

Just like the 5000 series before this one, this camera DOES support the proper DirectX interfaces. So if Skype or some other app is freaking out on you, it is not this camera's fault. It is Skype, or whatever app you are running. My code works just fine with it.

But... just like the 5000 series, if you install the "driver only" (to spare yourself the bloatware), half the camera's functions will be broken.
When I installed it driver-only, it would only do about 10 fps, in any kind of light, with any picture size, no matter how I set it.
After I installed their obnoxious applications, it snapped into shape and would obey settings to do 30 fps.

Bloatware:
It installs services and several auto-startup pieces of junk that you have to hunt down in the "Run" folder in the registry and delete. Otherwise, every time you log in, you will have these things running, and the tray icon app, and two other apps, will always be running. No matter what you do, these will always restart unless you ditch them from the registry and the services control panels.

Their apps also "phone home" to Logitech periodically, registering your purchase and checking for updates. (Yes, it does, I sniffed the network traffic.) If you don't mind Microsoft and Logitech spying on you and connecting you to machines without you even knowing it, fine. Personally, I find that behavior deplorable.

If you are a programmer (like me), you can get rid of this junk. But if not, you are stuck with this stuff hogging down your machine all the time.

Focus:

The auto focus function works, but overall, this camera's focus is poor. Whether on auto or manual, it cannot focus well on objects that get more than about 2 feet away from the camera. They probably honed the focussing algorithm expecting you to be sitting close to the camera. That's a reasonable assumption, but it's too close-focussing. Even sitting at a normal distance from a PC monitor, it just cannot focus sharply on my face. It also has AWFUL focussing at the edges of the picture no matter what.

Conclusion:
Great video, but poor focus.

If you are just an ordinary user who plugs junk into their PC and doesn't even know what CPU usage is, and you are using a hot fast Core 2 Duo processor, this camera will do a good job for you, as long as you don't sit too far back from the camera.
If you already let Microsoft spy on you with all their automatic junk turned on all the time, then you probably won't mind Logitech doing that to you to.

(Hope you like Windows Media Player opening ports in your home router without telling you ---- didn't know they did that, eh?)

Try this on other webcams: Face the webcam, look at ourself at the camera. You should be focused and clear. Now take your cell phone, turn it on so that the screen is on. Now face the cell phone screen on the webcam close enough so that the webcam only see the screen, try to focus the lense if possible.

On this camera, the lighting adjust quickly and you're able to see the screen, turn the lense and it focus correctly. Other cameras I've tried, the cell phone screen is a blur and all you see is white like it's looking into the sun or something.

So who spends almost $200 on a keyboard that doesn't even have a number pad? Well, I do...

If you are in the market for a good utilitarian cordless keyboard to use, this might not be the best choice. But if you like unique, stylish computer gear, that still works well, then this makes a nice addition to your desktop. Even if you don't get a chance to show it off to your friends, you'll enjoy looking at it sitting in its charging stand, or on your desk. It must hold a pretty good charge, because I've only charged it once in the month that I've had it. So if you're thinking the charger is too cumbersome to take with you on a trip, you don't have to worry about it; you won't need it. And at about 1/2" thick, it won't take up much space in your bag.

You could hook it up using the built-in bluetooth in your computer, but unless you're starved for USB ports, the receiver is about the size of a small flash drive (unlike the previous DiNovo Desktop). It connects instantly too, so you won't spend ages trying to figure out why it's not connected.

The trackpad is a small circlular affair, positioned off to the right, so you won't be constantly hitting it like the pads on most laptops. Only southpaw mousers will suffer from this layout. And scrolling with the pad works surprisingly well.

A few drawbacks are the lack of a number pad. You don't even get the typical fn + keys to enter numbers, which could have been easily included, but wasn't. And the fn key is to the right of the spacebar, which is opposite from what most people are used to using. Other than that you get a full set of keys (except the number pad). Plus nicely placed zoom buttons, volume control, and media keys, and a nice oversized delete key.

Keystrokes are short, but give reasonable tactile feedback. I'm not a very good typist, but I don't think those who are will find much to complain about.

And depending on your computer you can lay it right on top of laptop keyboard. Or use it from across the room.

I was worried that I would be sacrificing usability for style and looks, but it turned out not ot be the case.

I give the diNovo top marks in all respects. This is one of Logitech's success stories, unlike some of their products.

I'm very pleased with this purchase.

update 03/01/07 Since I just got a MacBook I thought I would update my review with some new info. Logitech does not support this keyboard for use with Macs (when you open Logitech Control Center, similar to Setpoint but for Macs), it won't recognize the keyboard. But that doesn't mean it won't work. Mac's bluetooth recognizes and pairs the kb instantly, and almost all functions work. What doesn't work is the set of buttons on the left (which I don't use anyway). And the fn+function keys don't work either as far as I can tell (the function keys themselves do work, and F12 works as an eject button for the DVD drive). But the mousepad works the same, as does the volume control, and the 'windows' key functions as the 'apple' key.

In addition, if you flip up the legs, the DiNovo will fit perfectly over a 17" MackBook Pro. So if you have a Mac and this keyboard, you won't have to put it aside till Logitach decides to support it.

I would also assume that third parties will come out with drivers or whatever might be needed to fill the void.

I feel like the Grinch after reading all the gushing reviews of this thing, but it's only a good keyboard, not a religious experience.

Yes, it's thin, nicely styled, and most of all has a wonderful feel--keys are silent, have a short throw, and have no play or sloppy feel. Every stroke feels sure and positive. It has the feel of a laptop keyboard on a desktop computer--best of both worlds.

But the layout is distinctly nonstandard, even whimsical. There is no 10-key number pad, which others have noted rather casually. I've never done a spreadsheet in my life, but I miss it even for entering phone numbers, addresses, charge card numbers, every number in everyday use is amazingly awkward without it. "Delete" has grown to double size, and the whole Home/End/Page up/Page down cluster is configured to guarantee some unwelcome surprises, for no reason that I can imagine. "Page up" is not at the top of the cluster; that space is given to the perky, promoted "End" key. Don't bother to look for the "right-click" context menu key to the right of the space bar as on every other keyboard I've ever seen in the world. It's not there or anywhere else. Its place is taken by an "Fn" key, also in a nonstandard location, which serves to reveal extra functions for F1-F12 keys, some programmable, most not, and "Scroll lock" and "Pause/B" keys, hidden secondary functions of "Insert" and "Print screen" respectively.

The software is disappointing: First it froze on installation, and required a second installation. Then its help file (the only documentation that exists--printed material is SO 20th century) turned out to be not specific to this product, but generic to Logitech products. One has to plow through all manner of irrelevant material to pick out what's relevant for this product. Sort of shabby for a flagship product with a flagship price.

Worse, it just doesn't do what it says it will. The "Media" hot key can be set to do one of various things, including popping up a mini-menu of media applications. So I created the menu, and assigned it to the key, but pressing the key doesn't display the menu. Instead, it starts the first program listed on the menu. That's a very different, less impressive function.

Having started the (wrong) media program, the keyboard's dedicated media control keys for Play/pause, Stop, Back, and Forward didn't work at all in it. By dedicated, I mean non-programmable; they are hidden functions of F5 through F8, entirely unmarked until pressing the "Fn" key reveals them as lit icons showing through the sleek black surface of the keyboard. Having revealed them, I have yet to make them actually work.

Both Logitech and (especially) Kensington have produced vastly superior programmable-key/button functions fifteen years ago for their mice. This isn't cutting-edge stuff, and still it doesn't work.

Oooh, almost forgot the amazing super-duper touch-disk! Why? Because it's nothing new or remarkable at all. It's a touch pad that's round instead of square, again to no obvious advantage. Its action is adjustable, both in mouse mode and in scroll speed. I've got touchpads from ten years ago with more impressive features, like an adjustable size for the scrolling part (outer margin of the surface), an option for a tap to be a double-click in one area, etc.

For a desktop computer, the wireless bluetooth feature is useless for me.

If this were a $50 keyboard, I'd recommend it for its touch, with a warning about all the nonstandard placements, and lack of number keypad, and defective software. For a list of $200, its failings become less tolerable.

(At the time of writing this review, I've owned this keyboard for about a month now.)

This is definitely a professional's keyboard. It's got a soft enough touch not to cause strain when you're typing for hours, but enough resistance, travel, and sudden reduction of resistance (I forget the proper term for how the key's resistance goes away once you've registered a keystroke) to allow you to type accurately. Being only 11mm tall, you don't need one of those cumbersome wrist rests -- your hands are barely above the table that you're typing on, so your posture is just naturally good. The keys are also a very good size -- I'm a touch typist (not trained; everyone becomes a touch typist if they type enough) and the keys are spaced very well to allow you to touch type without mistakes.

That the keyboard is pretty doesn't need further comment; it's also very solid. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box was that the keyboard was really solid. It may not be a cheap keyboard, but it's not made cheaply, either.

Thankfully the included receiver does bluetooth-to-usb conversion, so using the keyboard is simple plug-and-play, at least in Linux. (All of the keys work fine in Linux, there's still a bug in the mouse driver which disables the touch pad, but there will be a fix in USB mouse driver which fixes that, I believe -- a cursory google reveals at least one patch floating around.) I've never tried it in windows (I do embedded development in a Linux environment).

The battery life isn't an issue. Supposedly it can go a whole month on a single charge, but I can't fathom letting it go that long. As other commenters have noted, it looks good so good in its stand that when you finish for the day, you might as well put it there so that you have something pleasing to see when you start the next morning. Even so, I have gone close to a week without recharging it and didn't notice the slightest difference, so I believe the month-on-a-charge claim.

The bluetooth links is very reliable -- I've never missed a single keystroke. The touch-based volume control is really cool, and works quite well.

Oh, one other thing about it I love: instead of using an LED for caps lock, it beeps at you in one tone for turning caps lock on, and in another tone for turning caps lock off. I can't figure out who would use caps lock (and not a number pad) in the modern world, but as long as this mis-feature persists on keyboards, the beeping is extremely helpful for touch-typists who get a little sloppy with the left shift key.

In summary, I highly recommend this keyboard to any professional who can afford good tools. I'm very glad that I bought this keyboard.

Does it matter where the pedometer is placed or attached?
The HJ-150 and 151 Pedometer must be positioned correctly. Attach the unit to your belt or to the top of your waistband. The unit must be horizontal to the ground in order for the unit to function correctly. The HJ-112 and HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer can also be placed in your pocket or purse.
What's the accuracy rate of Omron pedometers?
The precision of the step counting is within +/- 5%.
What are moderate steps?
At least 30 minutes of moderate exercise is recommended each day. The HJ-151 Pedometer separately displays the steps and minutes walked at a moderate pace.
What are aerobic steps?
The HJ-112 and HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer separately displays aerobic steps and minutes that start counting after 10 minutes of continuous walking with more than 60 steps a minute.
How does the PC software work?
The HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer includes PC software for Windows 2000 or XP. It keeps track of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly progress.

Since getting attached to pedometers a couple of years ago, I've gone through at least a dozen--Digiwalkers, Oregon Scientifics, Omrons. Sometimes the clips would break (Digiwalkers have no spring clip), or the cover would snap off, or they would prove highly inaccurate, or they would be bulky, or they would be too "versatile" and intricate to be practical for someone who was simply looking to get in 10,000 steps for the day. For this reason, I recommended the Sportline 330 as a comparatively rugged, accurate, and inexpensive step counter that, if need be, could be replaced with minimal financial damage.

But recently I saw this "high end" Omron at Walgreen's and thought I'd give it a spin. Its primary allure: it claims to be so sensitive that you don't need to wear it on a belt or some other outer wear. Just drop it in your shirt pocket or purse and forget about it (of course, you'll need to do a 15-minute set-up first).

Guess what? The Omron people aren't pulling your leg. This is indeed a very sensitive little machine that does what it says it will do. I decided to test it by walking 30-40 minutes with the Omron in my shirt pocket and the Sportline clipped to my belt. At the end of my walk the Omron and Sportline were within 80 steps of each other. Moreover, it was the Omron that gave me the extra steps (a bonus if you consider the amount of time it takes--practically 2 hours--to log the full 10,000 steps).

Another nice feature is that on the next morning the device automatically resets to 0 steps while saving the previous day's count in memory. I haven't been impressed by other Omron's, but this model clearly appears to be an exception.

This is pedometer is Consumer Reports #1 rated digital pedometer- and I can see why. It's extremely light weight and really easy to use with just four big buttons on the front. Here's a few of its best features:

-it can accurately senses steps in your belt, pocket, OR purse!
-it has a large display for the visually impaired
-it has a 7 day history so you can see progress (or lack of)
-it calculates calories and distance in addition to steps

I'd recommend this little device to anyone who wants to lose weight- just begin one day, and the next day, see if you can maintain or beat your previous step record. Now how easy is that?

So what DIDN'T I like about it? Not much. Perhaps the ONLY sort of negative thing I can say is that you will need a tiny screwdriver to open the back of it to put in the battery. Other than that, if you're looking to increase your activity a little to improve your health, look no further. Also recommend The Sixty-Second Motivator for anyone who needs more motivation to stick with an exercise program.

I am certainly no expert on the subject of pedometers, or anything else electronic, truth be told. On the other hand, I have purchased and used several different models, from several different companies and manufacturers, all at different prices and all with different features. I have also researched these things, both here on Amazon and other points of purchase and talking to friends. This Omron is by far the best. It actually functions precisely as it's makers say it will. I found the set up to be quite easy (even for a electronic dolt like myself) and found the directions to be quite comprehensive. My wife and I both tested this thing and found it to be the most accurate of the several we have used in the past. I did not feel the cost was particularly high when compaired to what you get (I have found you pretty much get what you pay for and if you purchase a pedometer for $5.95, that is just about what you will get). The unit is quite attractive and offers a number of ways to carry and attach it to yourself. I must admit, that I first purchased this for my wife, when I found how well it worked, I purchased a second one for myself. These gadgets are great motivators and can be a real eye opener. I also appreciate the other reviewers here, their reviews were the final push I needed to decide on this particular item. I highly recommend this one.
