How many times have you read a portion of the Bible, or heard a sermon and thought to yourself, “I want to know more about what the rest of the Bible says concerning this?” Well I have good news for you the Bible clearly reveals’ itself to those who are willing to do a little research. In fact the Bible is one of the easiest set of books to understand. I said set of books because the Bible is not just one book; it is actually 66 books, penned by different authors, written in three different languages, from nearly every walk of life. These authors were statesmen and paupers, kings and shepherds, fishermen and priests and more. Some were educated and some were uneducated. Most of them did not know each other, and wrote at different periods of time, over the space of 1,600 years... and yet this volume of books is still one book since they deal only with one subject: the redemption of the human race.
Let’s begin looking at what the Bible has to say about the Beginning of time, about God, and about itself. When we open to Genesis Chapter One, the first phrase we read is “In the beginning.” In the beginning refers to a period of remote time; a time that is unknown to most. This is a time period that has been hidden through the ages and it is a time period that is revealed only through a thorough study of Scripture.
Of course, this beginning starts with the creation of the Heavens and the Earth. We call this time “The Creative Ages.” I want to stress that the term The Creative Ages means it is a time the stretches from the dateless past before Genesis 1:1, to the end of the seven days of creation. The seven days of creation actually begins in Genesis 1:3, and not Genesis 1:1 as some believe; but we’ll cover that in more detail in a moment.
When I talk about The Beginning or, The Dateless Past I am actually talking about a time which is the introduction to the Bible and all of history. This is a period which marks the boundary between time and eternity. We can see this clearly spelled out in scripture.
To summarize the rest of the episode: God created the universe to be populated with intelligent beings to whom He could reveal Himself, and with whom He could enjoy life. After the heavens were created, then God created the Earth. There was a time after Genesis 1:1, during which people, and animals lived on Earth, and because of their sin during this time, there was a flood.
No one knows just what God did in the eternal dateless past since He has not seen fit to reveal all His activities. All we know is that He has always existed, and that sometime in The Dateless Past God brought all things into existence. The present things that are on Earth were brought into existence in six days after the destruction of the first creation of free moral agents that lived on the Earth.

The curse is not greater than the blessing part 6

God Loves us so much that He wants to bless us more than we want to be blessed, in fact, He made every provision for our blessing. As God’s children, we have nothing to fear from the curse as Second Timothy One Seven says. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Galatians 3:13-14 says “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

So what is the blessing? Let’s go to Deuteronomy 28:1-13:
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.(This is the exact opposite of the curse–if you listen to the Lord and obey Him then these blessings shall be yours.)
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them.

Just like the Curse can be broken down into three main categories, the Blessing can also be broken down into three main categories:

1. Generational Blessings – those past down from Generation to Generation – to 1000 generations of those that fear God.

2. Blessings in the Scripture – those promises of God that if you obey Him and serve Him then all these blessings will be yours.

3. Modern day Blessings – those blessings that are pronounced upon people by anointed men of God speaking by way of the anointing or a father blessing his children, etc.

When you were born again you were made new, in God’s eyes, you became a new creature. You are a new species, you are something that never existed before you were born again. In fact, 1 Peter 2:9 says that we are “a chosen generation, a royal priest¬hood, an holy nation, a peculiar people;” why? “That ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”

When we were living in the world away from God, we were living for the devil and we were in the kingdom of darkness. But now that we are Born Again, we are in the kingdom of light. There is a difference in what these kingdoms are, and how these kingdoms operate.

You need to know the struggle of the ages, which you are in right now, is a battle of light versus darkness. But in this struggle, you have won because of Christ. That’s right, you are different you are changed. You are more than a conqueror, Romans 8:37. Let’s look at that verse for a moment “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”

The third reason that so are affected by curses is they don’t understand their their Covenant Rights. Look at 2 Timothy 2:15 with me, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

This scripture says that we need to do more than just read the Word, we need to “rightly divide the Word.” That happens only as we study God’s Word. It is amazing how many of God's children don’t know the differences between the Old and the New Testa¬ments. Even fewer can tell you what the promises of God are, or where they are found, or if they were bought and paid for by the blood of Christ. They end up with a little of the Old mixed with the New, and they end up confused about their own covenant.

One minute they believe they are under the Law and the next time you talk to them, they say they are under Grace. They have become so double-minded that they have no clue about who they are, or where they are in Christ. They go from bondage to bondage, and when they find a moment of freedom, it doesn’t last long. Then they go from freedom to bond¬age. They need to find out what their Covenant is, and what rights and privileges it gives them, and then learn to get involved in it.

Jesus came to pay the price for our complete redemption. But they have no idea what that means. Jesus redeemed them from and the curse of the Law, and they insist on being back under that curse as a result of ignorance. Do you know what the result is, (?) a complete disobedience to God and to His Word. I can just hear someone asking, “Where is the Curse of the Law found, and how do you find yourself stuck under it?”

The answers to these questions are both found in Deuteronomy 28:14-68, they tell us that if you will not listen to the Lord then these curses will be yours. There is burden removing and yoke destroying power in the blessing, but the yoke will be placed on your neck under the curse. This passage contains every sickness and disease and somehow because of religion or tradition, people think that this is their lot in life. They don’t real¬ize that Jesus purchased their freedom so that they could live and not die.

Focus for a moment with me on verse 61, it reads “Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.” God is telling us that every new disease which medicine can’t figure out, every new kind of bug infestation which is immune to pesticide, everything that is not a blessing but a hindrance… these are covered in this litany of curses which comes on a person who will not live by God’s rules.

Turn again, to Exodus 20:5. We discussed it a moment ago, this verse is speaking about rebelling against God, and about serving idols. It is also talking about iniquity being passed from one generation to another. It says, “Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them,” (speaking about idols): “for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.”

Even though that verse does not use the word curse, this is where many people get the idea for Generational Curses. They assume that the word iniquity holds the same meaning as curses. Furthermore, some ministers have twisted this scripture and its original intention, to fit their own demonic ideas and preconceived notions. The word used in the verse is iniquity, as I discussed earlier, means evil, mischief, and perversity. The word is translated from the Hebrew word Awvone, according to even the best Hebrew Scholars, this word does not even carry the implication of a curse. In its entirety, the word means that which is morally evil, mischievous, and perverse. Although curses do come upon people for staying in this condition, this verse is not referring to the curse itself; it is referring to the condition which can bring curses.

The iniquity, God says is unto the third and fourth gen¬eration of them that hate Him. The iniquity is passed down to those that hate the Lord; the potential to have that iniquity in their lives is what is passed down to the children. As we discovered, the iniquity does not have to come into a person’s life simply because of someone’s mother or father.

If the Blessing of God has everything you need, including deliverance from the Curse of the Law, why are people still affected by Curses? For three reasons: they are filled with fear, they lack knowledge of the Word of God, and they do not understand their Covenant Rights.

First let’s discuss fear. Fear gets into the minds and hearts of anyone who will open the door to it. Many people are so frightened they spend their time trying to figure a way to keep from losing their purpose in life. Let me be very clear, your reason for living isn't to spend all your time and energy worrying about your job, your family, your health. God's purpose for you is to spend time with Him in faith. To live a life of purpose, you need to overcome fear and press forward.

Doubts and worries are completely natural to the human experience. They will come to you; that’s right, they will come to you; you will have reason to worry; bad things will happen to you and your family, something will give you a reason to doubt the Word. However, when you let these doubts and worries that come against you turn around and become fear in your mind, you are settling for the worst case scenario. Believe me, this is the worst thing that you can do when it comes to fear and doubt.

Let’s look at the life of Job for a moment. God called Job a perfect and upright man; however, Job admitted that the reason for the problems in his life was fear. In Job 3:25, he plainly admits this when he said “The thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”

Fear will try to get into the minds and hearts of anyone who will open the door to it. While doubt and worry will come to you at different times, they should be dealt with immediately so that they do not become fear and cause you problems.

The second reason for Curses being in someone’s life is: A Lack of the Knowledge of God’s Word. This lack of knowledge is actually killing many Christians; it is causing them to live with the curse. I am serious about this, a lack of knowledge is literally killing many Christians. Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: see¬ing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

It is very plain from this scripture that the reason people are destroyed is because of a lack of knowledge of the Word of God. 2 Timothy 2:15 says “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

You need to find out what God’s Word says and then learn to live in and activate the promises of God in your life. Remember, the devil knows God’s Word too. In fact, he quoted God’s Word to Eve, as well as Jesus. Every time in Scripture when the Devil argues with someone he begins his argument with, “Has God said,” or “If you are,” and then he misquotes the scriptures. He doesn’t misquote them by mistake; he does it because he loves to twist the scripture. If he can get you as a believer to think that God is not for you, then he has already won the battle.

Remember, that no matter what you were before you were born again, you are a new creation in Christ, old things have been done away with, all things have been made new. Look at 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Curses fall into three arenas:

1st. Generational Curses – those curses that according to the lies of the Devil, have been passed down from Generation to Generation. I’ll discuss what they really are in more detail later on.

2nd. Modern day curses – those curses that are cast as spells upon people by way of witchcraft.

3rd. Curses in the Scripture – these are actually promises from God concerning what will happen when we disobey Him, serve other god’s and live our lives in rebellion against Him.

First, curses cannot just come without a cause or a reason. Let’s look at Proverbs 26:2“As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.” The New Living Translation says it this way:
“Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse will not land on its intended victim.”
An undeserved curse has no effect. Its intended victim will be no more harmed by this curse than by a sparrow flying through the sky.

A “Generational Curse” is not what people have been taught. The phrase does not even appear in the Bible. So where do people get this from? Because one word from Exodus 20:5 has been twisted to fit this idea of the Generational Curses, so much so, that whole Denominations have been built on this idea.

Concerning idols, and false god’s the verse says “Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.”

The verse is talking about the iniquity of the fathers, not the curses of the fathers. Iniquity means evil, mischief, and perversity. Of course the Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 28 that those who insist on living this way find themselves cursed, but the curse is a result of the iniquity that they are intentionally living in and not something that automatically happens.

According to some that teach these Generational Curse theories, these curses are either automatic or there must be certain things done to break the curses. For example, when I was a young man I spent a little time in Arkansas. For many who were staying at the Job Corps where I was, there was a superstition about brooms. According to this superstition, if someone swept the broom across your toes, and you did not spit on the bristles right away, then you will be in jail within 2 days. Now when you think about it sensibly, you see how silly that really is. But people believe things like this, and whether or not they realize it, they are acting on other superstitions as well.

Generational Curses are superstitions, and they have nothing to do with the real problem in this verse. Neither the Curse nor the Superstition of the parent is visited on the children; however, the iniquity of the parent is. However, if the person does not choose to live under the curse of the law; if the person is taught about their Covenant Rights; if the person decides they do not want to live the way their ancestors did, iniquity is not visited on them.

Curses from witchcraft may be placed on someone, but as we read from Proverbs 26:2, the curse cannot come on you without a reason, and Deuteronomy 28 tells you all the reasons for which a curse may come on you. But we’ll deal with the Curses from Deuteronomy 28 in a little bit.

The Curse Is Not Greater Than The Blessing Part 2

When you were born again, did you know that you were taken from the Devil's kingdom? Since you were born again you have been brought into God’s Kingdom. Did you know that the Bible describes the New Birth Experience as being delivered out of darkness? That means the Devil has no authority over you, other than the authority you give him. Did you know that?

Look at Colossians 1:13 with me. This verse tells us it is God, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” Did you know that darkness has power? That’s the reason that so many people, (both children and adults), are afraid of the dark. There are people who are afraid to walk around anywhere at night, and I do mean anywhere.

At one point I was a night watchmen at a small rescue mission in Elkhart Indiana, when I was there one of the residents was a man who was extremely paranoid and afraid of the dark. Whenever he awoke, he would always show up at the front desk complaining and making up some of the wildest stories you have ever heard. In some cases things like this is because of some kind of schizophrenia, sometimes it's fear, sometimes it’s demonic oppression: this is where it takes a Holy Spirit witness to be sure which of these it is so you can minister effectively. For this man it was absolute fear. The only way to minister to him was to bring him back to his room, show him that no one was there and things were okay. Only then would he let you pray for him and then he would calm down and go to sleep. None of the other watchmen were able to get this man to relax and go to sleep, but because I knew it was a spirit of fear I was able to pray for the man and he was sleeping within 10 minutes from the time he showed up at the front desk.

The good news for those who are willing to listen is this: God has delivered us from the power of darkness.. That is it has delivered already.. the Word already settled it. But God did more than that the verse goes on, to say He “has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” As Christians, we belong to the kingdom of God.

That's right, according to God’s Word, the devil must have permission to harm us when we are walking in the light. The only time that he can harm us is when we open the door to him, or when we are being tested, (that’s what was happening in the book of Job). Yet the fact of the matter is that when God blesses you nothing can be done to reverse it, if you’re in God’s Will and bad things still seem to be happening it’s only a time of testing.

Numbers 23:19-20 show us that when God blesses us, no one on earth can keep the blessing from doing its job. Those verses say“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.”

In the new covenant this is confirmed by Ephesians 1:3 which says “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”

It is in Christ that we have these blessings. When we are in Christ the curse cannot touch us. We have been blessed with all of heavens blessings; this is not something that needs to happen this is something that has already taken place.

When a believer thinks that the curse is powerful, they underestimate the power of the cross, the power of the blood and the power of the resurrection according to Colossians 2:15 which says “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”

Jesus defeated Satan at Calvary and He broke the power of the curse. But people still think these curses can affect them without their ability to do anything about them. Yes, there are Curses that can affect us, but as we will see in a moment there are things that can be done about them. Curses fall into three arenas:

The Curse Is Not Greater Than The Blessing. Part 1

When I make the statement “The curse is not greater than the blessing.” What is the first thing that comes to your mind? When I hear something like that, I begin to think about the myths that have been going around concerning curses. The second thing that comes to mind is that it’s time for these myths to be dealt with. Any minister who is worth his or her salt and has been preaching for any length of time has had to deal with these myths at one point or another. This includes a few ministers who have been unknowingly spreading these curses as well as those who have been deliberately brainwashing their flocks into thinking this is the normal way to think and live our lives.

The Bible tells us that in the last day’s ministers will be teaching doctrines of demons and when a minister tells his or her flock that they have to be placed under curses, or that when a curse is placed on them then there is nothing they can do about it, then that certainly falls under the heading of “Doctrines of Demons.”

Just when I think the body of Christ has learned about these myths and begun to move away from them, some (supposedly well intentioned) minister starts the rumor mill all over again. Not long ago I was appalled to hear a minister say “No Christian has any power over the enemy,” right after that he said “trying to do Spiritual Warfare is useless, because the only time we are supposed to try to wage a war against Satan, is when Jesus makes a special appearance to tell us we have some sort of special faith to do so.” But there is something that you need to hear, right now. In fact every Christian must realize this if they are ever going to enjoy the freedom Christ paid for; the Curse is not greater than the Blessing.

You see the Blessing is based on God’s Word, and God’s Word is not an opinion from man; it is infallible. Meaning it will never fail you if you follow it completely. The Scriptures are plain and we must follow them in order to have what they promise. However when we refuse to follow the Word, there are promises that God has which you don’t want to see come to pass in your life; but we’ll get into that more in a moment.

Some might find this hard to believe, but there are people who believe that a Curse is so powerful that it can destroy the whole life of the believer, no matter what the believer does. But that is a lie straight from the devil’s mouth, it’s meant to cause fear. The devil uses this fear to manipulate and control the life of anyone who will believe this lie.

These messages will cover a few basic questions that people seem to be constantly asking. Questions such as: Can a curse affect a believer? Should we be afraid of curses? What is the idea behind generational curses, what is the truth about them, and how do they affect us, if they actually do. That and more to be covered later.

A "Adam knew Eve," Hebrew word knew means the most intimate form of relationship between husband and wife, it includes but is not limited to sexual relations.
a "...she conceieved and bare Cain" word meaning "acquisition," which speaks of the type of religion he had, and the type of religion some still have today.
i He worshiped his self-will.

First, lets' recapitulate the differences between what we call the flood of Lucifer and the flood of Noah, from an earlier blog post.

The flood of Noah's day was an act of judgment passed upon men because of sin. Those of us who understand the Genesis 8 account as a literal event do not doubt the extent of the destruction described by Moses. Scripture is clear that (except for Noah and his family), all men and animals were destroyed as a result of God's judgment. There are those who claim the flood of Noah is a fairy tale or fable, but no one doubts the existence of men prior to Noah's flood.

But almost everyone doubts the existence of a pre-Adamite world which was destroyed by the flood of Genesis 1:2. This was a greater flood than the one of Noah's time, and an act of judgment as much as the flood of Noah, this is clear from the following contrasts:

The flood of Noah's day lasted more than a year, however vegetation and its seed was not destroyed. The flood sent in judgment in the days when Lucifer and angels ruled the earth with the Pre-Adamites caused the fruitful places to became a wilderness (see Jer. 4:23-26).

New vegetation had to be planted during the six days of re-creation, for the earth was totally desolate (see Gen. 1:11-12 and Gen 2:5,8-17). This indicates that Lucifer's flood was of a much longer duration than Noah's and without doubt, was the judgment of a serious rebellion.

Results of the Flood

The evidence of a great catastrophe that resulted in the destruction of the pre-Adamite world can be found in Scripture, and science. Most scientists claim that the earth went through at least one great catastrophe at an unknown period in the past, though they have many theories about what the event is or exactly how it happened. But one fact cannot be overlooked, many animal remains have been discovered that indicate a very sudden calamity which happened to the entire world at the same time.

The flood of Noah and the flood which destroyed the pre-Adamite world are the only events that accurately explain the geologic columns which have been found. The geologic columns are the order of the strata (or layers of rock) and the fossils found in them.

The way the water of the deep broke through the earth's surface during the flood of Noah must have been similar to the way it broke through during the first flood: only this explanation handles the problem of out-of-order strata and fossils. Without this explanation evolutionists and those who claim creation without the flood of Lucifer have a horrible time trying to explain why the fossils are out of their normal sequence. For example, in many places large fossils (such as trees) extend through several strata. In other words, rather than laying flat or horizontal they were vertical or perpindicular and more than one layer of different kinds of rock formed around these fossils. The geogragraphic locations of the fossils are out of order as well. For example, they have found the fossils of extinct fish species over vast areas of Montana, Nebraska, Texas, etc; and Kangaroo fossils have been found on nearly every continent, not just in Australia, some of this happened because of the floods, and some of it because of an earthquake.. (more on that in a moment).

Science says a rapid burial process is necessary for coal and oil formation and for fossilization, otherwise the normal process of decay would completely disintegrate the organisms, even the bones.
Fossils have been found which were evidently the result of a great catastrophe. These organisms were entombed in the strata instead of being slowly buried by the sedimentation over millions of years. During Lucifer's flood God turned the earth upside down by earthquakes and a flood.

In Peleg's time, we read of a great division of the earth. It is interesting that while we have only a brief mention of this catastrophic event, it was significant enough to define an entire generation in the genealogical record: "And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan" (Gen. 10:25). Thus we have a Biblical reference to what science calls the Plate Tectonic Theory! Another intersting fact that many preachers miss is this, then Hebrew name Peleg when translated into English is earthquake. Eber named one of his sons Earthquake! Whether the quake happen on the same day as his birth, or during another part his lifetime is unclear; but it happened during the time he was alive and not only do we have a record of it happening then, it is still happening today.

Lucifer's flood and the division of the earth in Peleg's day account for much of the fossil record and explains many questions which would otherwise remain unanswered by other creationist theories.
Evey other creationist theory I have studied struggles to account for scientific evidence which points to an old earth, (it is older than 6,000 - 7,000 years though we can only account for that many through science).

Part of the difficulty is that these theories are attempting to force the scientific data into their own mold because of preconceieved notions and ideas. Most creationist theories cannot account for an old earth because they have not considered the existence of a Pre-Adamite world. Only an understanding of the earth as it existed before the destruction of Genesis 1:2 can shed light on the questions posed by the scientific evidence.

The existence and overthrow of the Pre-Adamite world revolves around the following questions and answers:

Q Why are we finding remains of animals that never existed in Adam's day?
A Quite simply, these animals were a part of the original creation of the earth and were destroyed and buried with the destruction of the earth following Lucifer's rebellion. The Bible doesn't tell us how long Lucifer was allowed to remain in rebellion against God before he was cast back down to the earth in judgment. The earth could have existed in a sinful state as a result of Lucifer's sin, with animals living and dying for centuries before God judged Lucifer and his rebellious followers.

Q How did the remains of animals get thousands of feet in the earth underneath many layers of solid rock if there was no catastrophe as described in Gen. 1:2; Jer. 4:23-26; and 2 Peter. 3:5-6?
A The division of the earth in Peleg's day could account for a part of the fossil record. Noah's flood, however, could not have resulted in the extensive deposits found deep beneath the earth on a worldwide scale, and no other global cataclysm has happened since Adam.

Q Why do we find geological evidence pointing to an earth that is much older than Adam's creation about 6,000 years ago?
A This is easily explained when we understand that the earth was created in the dateless past, and underwent cataclysmic changes during the judgment brought about by Lucifer's rebellion, and was re-created between 6,000 and 7,000 years ago.

vi. The means of God in accomplishing His purpose. Conscience, freedom of will, and the devil's malice were the means that God used to bring man to a place of utter dependence upon Him for help and redemption from the curse.
vii The conscience would demonstrate how exceedingly sinful mankind would become if they chose evil instead of good;
1 The full freedom of action demonstrated how far man would go in his rebellion against God before it would be necessary for Him to interfere for the good of His own eternal plan.
2 The malice of satanic forces demonstrated the contrast between the two masters whom man might serve while on probation.
3 Freedom of will and conscience was what they chose in the fall and God permitted them to go to the full limit of wickedness that they might learn the folly of their own choice, and so that all coming generations might profit, if they chose to consider Adam and Eve's transgression.

i The first work was a creation and the second work was a restoration of the clouds in day two, the earth in day three, and the solar system in day four.
ii The words "in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens" (Gen. 2:4) begin a new narrative.
iii Gen. 2:4a is the summary of the six days' work; Gen. 2:4b through Gen. 2:25 is a more detailed account of the work of days two, three, five, and six.

ii He made the herbs of the field before they grew in the earth. (Gen. 2:5).
iii This was before the rain began to fall upon earth (Gen 2:5; 1:9-10).
iv This was before Adam was commissioned to till the soil (Gen. 2:5-7; 1:26-28).
b Contrary to popular belief this passage does not teach that there was no rain on earth before Noah's flood.

i God had just finished dividing the waters, causing the earth to have the ability to form clouds as it was before Lucifer's flood, though the rain did not fall on earth until after man was formed and commissioned to care for the garden. (Gen. 2:6).
ii Vapor and fog rose naturally from the earth and condensed into dew as today, this was the foggy atmosphere which enveloped the earth before Adam, (Ps. 135:7; 148:8; Jer. 10:12-13). (Gen. 2:6).
iii This does not mean that God watered the earth this way for 1,656 years between Adam and Noah as some believe; nor does it mean that no one had ever seen it rain until the Ark of Noah was made. (Gen. 2:6).
iv To believe that it had never rained before Noah's flood would nullify the very purpose for which God made the clouds. (Gen. 2:6).
v This verse simply shows how rain is produced -- from vapors ascending to cold air, becoming condensed into water that falls again in the form of rain. (Gen. 2:6).
C Day six: man formed and created (cp. Gen. 1:24-31) (2:7).
a "formed man" According to the Hebrew language, Adam was to molded or squeezed into shape as a potter makes His vessel (Gen. 2:7,19; 2Ki. 19:25; Ps. 94:9; 95:5; Isa. 45:18); the body was formed but the soul and spirit (the inner man) was created (Gen. 1:26-27; 5:1-2).
b "dust of the ground" The same word translated earth in Gen. 26:15, dust in Gen. 2:7, and 3:19, ashes in Num. 19:17, and 2Ki. 23:4, ground Job 14:8, morter in Lev. 14:42,45, powder in 2Ki. 23:6,15) and rubbish in Neh. 4:2,10 - That is Adam's body was formed from every type of earthly material which the ground is made of .
c "breathed" The Hebrew word means God breathed out, puffed into, and inflated, and blew hard into Adam's body (Gen. 2:7; Ezek. 37:9).
d The specifc form of the breathed that God breathed is described in His breathing into Adam, then the length is described as "breath" air which is inhaled and exhaled. (Gen. 2:7; 7:22; Job 33:4; 37:10; Isa. 2:22; 30:33; 42:5).
i There was more force of breath than there was length of breath, but it was enough to do the job.
ii Breath is not the soul or spirit of man, for spirit and breath are distinguished in Job 34:14.
e "breath of life" Now the result of this explosive breath that God breathed into Adam is simply announced; it caused him to come alive and for his body and soul to function together.
D Day six: man's first home (Gen. 2:8-9).
a The garden was located in the east of Eden, which was evidently a large district.
b It is clear from Gen. 10:25 and 1Chr. 1:19 that there was one solid land mass until the time of Peleg, when the earth was divided into continents and islands.
i It is impossible to locate all the rivers or the garden of Eden because of all the changes which have taken place to the earth's geographical features.
ii Even greater changes will take place at the second coming of Christ (Isa. 11:15-16; 34:1 -- Isa. 35:10; Zech. 14:4-10; Rev. 16:10-21), and again when the earth is made new again as we see in Rev. 21:1-2,9-10.
E Water system of Eden (Gen. 2:10-14).
a Two of the rivers had well-known names -- Euphrates and Tigris (called Hiddekel in Gen. 2:14).
b The other two aren't so easily identified -- Gihon went through Ethiopia and may refer to the Nile.
c Pison compassed Arabia; there is no known spot where physical features exactly match the description of the garden, though this is not a reason for doubting scripture because the garden was destroyed and the surface of the earth has changed.
F Antedeluvian age from the re-creation to the flood of Noah (Gen. 2:15 - 8:14).
a Dispensation of Innocence begins (Gen 2:15 - 3:22)
i Name. So called because man was tested and put on probation while in a state of innocence (Gen. 2:8-25; 3:7).
ii The length unknown, but judging from Satan's dealings today, he tried to cause the fall of man immediately. It may have lasted less than a week, for we have no record of God resting after His first sabbath. Man had not yet visited and eaten of the tree of life when the fall came (Gen. 3:22-24). The dispensation ended before man had offspring (Gen. 2:21-25; 4:1).
iii Favorable beginning (Gen. 1:26-30; 2:8-24). Everything was perfect, sinless, and under man's dominion, with just one command to obey (Gen. 2:17).
iv Test -- not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Gen. 2:16-17; 3:6).
v Purpose of God -- to see if man would remain innocent and true to his trust under perfect conditions (Gen. 2:16-17). God wanted to test him before he had offspring, so that if he sinned the entire race could be dealt with through the same means of grace which offers redemption to all who desire it, and promises eternal separation from God for all who fail to seek reconciliation (Rom. 5:12-21).
vi The means of God in accomplishing His purpose. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and the temptations of Satan were the means used in testing man to see if he would remain true (Gen. 2:16-17; 3:1-6; Rom. 5:12-21; 1Tim. 2:11-15).
b "in the day that thou eatest thereof," though it did not look like it at the time, Adam died the same day he sinned, so this should also be understood as a 24-hour day; the penalty of eternal death began and took effect immediately (Rom. 5:12-21), though the scriptures clearly state that it took over 900 years for his body to finish dying.
G God's foresight for man (Gen. 2:18).
a "I will make him an help meet" God's work wasn't complete because man couldn't reproduce, and would need help. (Gen. 1:28; 1Tim. 2:11-15; 1Cor. 11:9).
b "help meet" The helper would be need to be suitable intellectually, morally, and physically as his counterpart. (Gen. 2:18 - 22).

    i "The world that then was," Greek word for world is kosmos meaning social system. In Greek this phrase is "The social system that then was," this embraces the pre-Adamite universe,
    ii This is the time to which all fossils and remains belong.
   b In the beginning the world was made perfect and then inhabited: see Dt. 32:4; Job 38; Ps. 18:30; Eccl. 3:11.
   c Comparing Gen. 1:1 with Gen. 1:10, we see that "earth" and "dry land" are synonymous. Since the earth was originally created dry land, Gen. 1:2 refers to a flood on dry land because of sin.    2 The following facts prove that the term "in the beginning" in Gen. 1:1 refers to the original creation of the heavens and the earth, and does not refer to the time or work of the six days of Gen. 1:3 -- Gen. 2:25.. many call this six day creation act the re-creation of earth though it is more of a restorative act;
   a The word "and" is used 153 times in Gen. 1 -- Gen. 2 to separate the 102 independent acts of God.
   b The "and" of Gen. 1:2 proves that the work of Gen. 1:2 is entirely independent of the work of Gen. 1:1. While Gen. 1:1 records the original creation of the heavens and the earth, Gen. 1:2 records the original dry land, or earth, made into chaos and flooded through a great catastrophe which destroyed all life on a pre-Adamite earth.
   c The word "was" in Gen. 1:2 is from the verb to become, not the verb to be, proving that the earth became waste and empty since its original creation and habitation in the beginning.

   i The sense is "made appear" or "made visible," expressing permission and purpose in connection with already existing things.

   iii Here God commands and the sun gives light again, as it did before (Jer. 4:23-26; 2Pet. 3:5-7).

   i This is the Hebrew word raqiya` which means expanse.
   ii It occurs 17 times, and is always translated in the King James Version as "firmament" (Gen. 1:6-8, 14-20; Ps. 19:1; 150:1; Ezek. 1:22-26; 10:1; Dan. 12:3).
   iii It was created in the beginning as one of the heavens of Gen. 1:1, it retained water above the earth through out Lucifer's reign, but upon his overthrow the earth was cursed by the firmament pouring out its waters and causing the flood of Gen. 1:2; Ps. 104:5-9; and 2Pet. 3:5-7.
   iv It is called "heaven" in Gen. 1:8.
   v In the judgment on the original earth, the flood waters fell once. The waters couldn't be turned back into rain a second time until the restoration of sunlight.
   vi The waters didn't naturally abate from the earth in the first flood, as they did continually in the flood of Noah (Gen. 7:24; 8:3,5,8,11); because the waters were then divided again (as before Gen. 1:2), natural laws took care of flood conditions in Noah's time.

4 Earth and vegetation restored (Gen. 1:9-13).

a There were three distinct kinds of vegetation: grass, herbs, and trees, and they reproduced after there kind.

b The theory of evolution claims all forms of life came through the gradual modification of earlier and more simple forms or from one rudimentary form.

i It teaches a process in which something complex is developed by itself from a simple beginning.

ii It accepts the existence of the cause or causes of the first substance and the force or forces working successive transformations from lower to higher forms of matter and life.

iv Evolutionist also claim a theory called cosmic evolution which claims lower units of matter (atoms and molecules) were formed by themselves.

v Organic evolution teaches that the vegetable and animal kingdoms evolved from lower forms of life to what they are today.

vi For the first time in science's history, scientist's have let go of the idea of 'first cause.' - which is the idea that the things they claim evolved came from things that already existed.

b The Hebrew word for moving creature is sherets, meaning swarming and creeeping things, (Gen. 7:21; Lev. 5:21; 11:20,21,23,29,41-44;22:5; Dt. 14:19), the implication is that the earth and the water was to abound with these creatures. Even in water that seems to have nothing in it, scientists have been able find over 30,000 microscopic forms of life! (Gen. 1:20).
c The Hebrew word for life here is nephesh. The meaning of nephesh is soul (not life), the full definition is "the feelings, passions, and appetites of any living thing." (Gen. 1:20).
d Here the word "created" is used for the first time since Gen. 1:1, thousands of bodies were formed out of the ground and given self-existent and self-productive life, each "after his kind" (Gen. 1:21; 2:19). This was not just forming a body from something that was already there, this was a complete creation of something new. (Gen. 1:21).

g "to you it shall be for meat.." Gen. 1:29 Man was given grain, fruits and other products. Animals were also given for him to eat, but they were not given until after the flood of Noah (see 1Tim. 4:3-5; 1Cor. 6:13; Gen. 9:3).

h Animals weren't created to eat each other (they did not eat each other until after the fall) and won't do so in the Millennium and the New Earth (Isa. 11:6-9; 65:25).
