While trying to keep this post as short as possible, I will endeavour to answer some of the questions we've heard from visitors over the years.</p> <p>Who are "We":In short: The Hicker's (aka Michelle, Rolf, Daniel and Alex)</p> <p>I've been a professional travel photographer since I turned 18 and I've been trying to survive since. I decided to become a professional photographer because capturing moments was my passion and I wanted to make this a large part of my life. It has never been about "making money" or "being famous", it is about the lifestyle, the experiences and to capture those moments for the future, and to share with people who are less fortune to be there at the precise moment when I captured the photograph. The title "professional photographer" means nothing else but that photography is my main or only income. We're Rolf and Michelle Hicker, a husband and wife team who share a deep passion for photography and travel. We're a pair who come from opposite sides of the globe - Rolf from Germany and Michelle from New Zealand. We live in Canada on a 2.5 acre property with our two sons Daniel and Alex. During the summer months we operate a bed and breakfast called The Artists Point, where we open our home to travellers from around the globe.
