Yeah …

Another very useful free application that I recently use for my Windows Mobile Phone.

This application is a translator tools from Google, which of course we already know that this application has also been the same function and display just like we use in their web version at http://translate.google.com

To use this application itself requires an internet connection for the process of translation, and do not worry … the process only takes a minute to get the translation

It definitely support for translation in both directions for more than 40 languages, and this list is constantly updated.

Today, after login to my google wave account I found there are 8 pieces of invitations which I  can use.
For those who do not know yet about this cool product, Google Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation
and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.

I assure you, Google Wave is a very cool product … you should try it 

At least this application is very helpful for me, and for someone who is accustomed to run applications without having to click “Start menu” and find the programs that we want to run,or find the desktop icons or on which folders this applications installed.

This application is called “Launchy”. Launchy is a free windows and linux utility designed to help you forget about your start menu, the icons on your desktop, and even your file manager. Once the program is installed then we can use it is very easy;

How to ?

First, just press “ALT-Spacebar” and then it will display the application.
Secondly, we can type applications that we want to run so then Launchy automatically displays a list of the program installed on our system related to the word that we type and enter to run it.

Through this application we can also directly use Google / Yahoo ( or any search engine ) to the Internet by just typing “{name of search engine}: (case / something that we want to find)” . For example : “google rici” ; and just enter it so our browser will open using “rici” as the keyword of Google search engine. Even that we can use this application to access our file manager directly by just type your file path.There still a lot of configurations / plug-in you can embed it on this applications.

So far, this application make my job quite effectively and hopefully useful for you too This application can be run under windows and linux as well; check and you can use this freeware application from http://www.launchy.net/ .

KAUST DISCOVERY SCHOLARSHIP
King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) adalah sebuah universitas berskala internasional yang berbasis riset di bidang
science dan teknologi yang berlokasi di Arab Saudi.
KAUST menawarkan program beasiswa yang disebut KAUST Discovery Scholarship diperuntukkan bagi mahasiswa S1 dari bidang studi Science dan Teknologi di perguruan tinggi manapun di Indonesia.

Persyaratan:

1. Terdaftar aktif pada tahun ajaran 2007/2008 sebagai mahasiswa S1 tahun ketiga keatas dari jurusan teknik dan science di perguruan tinggi manapun di Indonesia.
2. Memiliki prestasi akademik dan/atau pengalaman riset yang memuaskan.

Pada Agustus 2009 sudah bisa memulai pendidikan S2 di King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Arab Saudi

• Seluruh biaya kuliah (SPP dan biaya lain) sampai lulus kuliah S1.
• Tunjangan hidup.
• Tunjangan buku.

Kemarin saya sudah melakukan salah satu tugas saya sebagai salah satu warga DKI Jakarta tercinta ini. Pemilihan calon gubernur serta wakil nya di tempat saya berlangsung cukup lancar dan disiplin, kalau saya lihat di beberapa TPS antusias para ibu-ibu yang cukup membludak dalam melakukan pencoblosan…

Sorenya main basket bersama teman-teman di hall senayan, yang ujung-ujungnya kado “ANGKLE” yang membengkak mendarat di kaki kiri saya

Malam harinya bersama kado spesial “ANGKLE” saya tersebut, maka harapan saya adalah bisa istirahat…eh ternyata tengah malam hari nya ditelepon bahwa ada GEMPA, melihat stasiun2 TV  saat itu dengan harapan dapat menemukan berita yang berhubungan dengan gempa tersebut…soalnya saya kurang merasakan gempa jadinya penasaran apa iya benar ada gempa ya ya saat itu akhirnya saya putuskan lebih baik melanjutkan tidur saya  juga …

Feedreader adalah salah satu tools ( Windows based ) yang berguna untuk kita dalam mengetahui & membaca setiap update blog-blog yang sering kita baca. Daripada membaca satu persatu via web browser, alangkah lebih mudahnya jika kita dapat menggunakan tools Feedreader ini.

Untuk prinsip kerjanya tools ini hanyalah mengambil dari setiap RSS (Really Simple Syndication ) Feed yang dimiliki blog-blog ataupun web-web yang support. Cara kerjanya yaitu kita tinggal copy link dari RSS Feed pada blog yang kita ingin masukkan dan simpan di Feedreader tsb. Contoh link RSS saya di blog ini adalah https://rici.wordpress.com/feed/

Atau bisa copy link dari setiap yang terdapat pada icon RSS Feed (seperti gambar disamping).

Setidaknya dengan tools ini dapat membantu menghemat waktu & lebih efisien dalam menggali informasi-informasi dari blog maupun website yang telah menyediakan fasilitas RSS nya, dan tentunya tidak akan ketinggalan berita. Sebagai salah satu contoh web-web yang telah menyediakan RSS bisa melihat pada sisi kiri blog saya ini.

“Anak-anak” saya disini adalah kedua ekor kucing yang sangat lucu tentunya, Squall Leonhart yang berumur 1 tahun 7 bulan serta Rinoa “Yupi” Heartilly yang masih berumur 7 bulan .. kedua-duanya adalah kucing dengan ras kucing persia.

Piala yang diperolehnya yaitu kategori Best Male Cat 2006 ( ICA – Indonesian Cat Association ) disandang oleh Squall dan Juara I kategori kucing berbulu panjang 2007 disandang oleh Rinoa.

Khusus untuk perolehan piala untuk Rinoa, pada penilaiannya terjadi persaingan yg cukup alot…perbedaan jumlah nilai antara Rinoa dengan pesaingnya ( yg akhirnya menjadi juara 2 ) hanyalah terpaut 1 point !! Rinoa yang bernama lengkap Rinoa “Yupi” Heartlilly mempunyai score 172 sedangkan pesaingnya yg berada di juara 2 adalah 171 ..

Selamat sekali lagi buat Squall dan Rinoa ! My Champ

Sore ini saya mendapatkan informasi beasiswa yang diberikan oleh salah seorang teman saya yang bekerja di Ericsson [ Thanks buat Awi ].

Beasiswa ini diberikan untuk kita yang ingin mengambil dan melanjutkan program S2 ( magister ) di bidang Wireless Systems yaitu di Royal Institute of Technology ( KTH ) Stockholm, Swedia.

Three scholarships are available and competition is very keen.
Applicant Eligibility

1. Applicants must be Indonesian citizens.
2. Must have finished Bachelor (S1) of Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
3. Courses must have included unit of fundamental mathematics in linear algebra, Fourier methods, and probability theory.
4. Students must have taken (and passed with distinction) a general course on Signals and Systems, including material on: continuous and discrete time signals, sampling, linear filters and systems, and Fourier methods.
5. Applicants must have good oral and written skills in English, and a minimum TOEFL score of 600 (245 for computer-based test, or 85 for Internet-based test) or a minimum IELTS score of 6.5.

Selection and Verification Process

1. Ericsson works with KTH to identify and select scholarship recipients.
2. Judges decisions are final and no correspondences will be entertained.
3. The academic year starts in August 2007 and lasts until June 2009 (including examinations).
4. Student should be arrived at KTH in early August 2007.
5. Applicants should be in healthy condition and it is supported by recommendation letter by the general practitioner from local hospital.

Announcement of the Scholarship Award Recipients
The winner is expected to be in Jakarta on May 29 to receive the award.
Program Limits

1. Ericsson retains the right to change or terminate this program at any time, and prior notification will be made accordingly.
2. Ericsson is not responsible for lost applications, lost verification of enrollment, or information or materials misplaced or delayed through the mail or other delivery processes.
