BMW is prepping to give its biggest SUV ever a mid-life makeover later this year. The 2023 BMW X7 LCi was leaked a few hours ago through ixforums and the only available image, which looks like it belongs to the media kit, has given us a fair idea of what one can expect from the upcoming model.

2023 BMW X7 LCi Updates

The XL-size three-row SUV took the fight straight to the likes of Land Rover Range Rover as well as the Mercedes-Benz GLS and the mid-cycle updates should work well to infuse some freshness with the four-year-old luxo-barge. In fact, the changes won’t be restricted to the front-end as the interior will receive its fair share of enhancements. The Life Cycle Impulse (LCi) was leaked accidentally in Belarus as the image you see on this page was accidentally uploaded on the official website while updating the image gallery for the outgoing model.

As per this leaked image, the 2023 BMW X7 would feature a pair of new split headlamps that will offer Laserlight beams. The LED DRLs will have their own section and the new lighting elements do give the front-end a slightly more aggressive look. The fresh styling is inline with the Bavarian carmaker’s latest design language that we first saw on the i7 as well as the 2023 7’er. We’re not too sure if we love what we see but it looks like it would be best to reserve the judgement until we can see this full-size SUV in flesh.

Interior and Specifications

Fortunately, though, BMW has decided to refrain from making the grille even bigger, though the front bumper has been revamped for a neater look. Even the hood seems to have been redone as it looks more muscular. In the side profile, the 2023 BMW X7 gets stylish 23-inch mags that have a typical BMW-ish look. There’s no info on the cabin but safely expect it to get a new iDrive and, perhaps, an updated dashboard along with an upholstery change. The updated model is likely to debut in August this year. Along with the cosmetic updates, there’ll be some engine variant rejig, with the most substantial change coming in the form of the X7 M60i that would replace the M50i. The SUV could even get a mild-hybrid 48V system.

Back in 2006, CEO Elon Musk had unveiled his ‘master plan’ for Tesla. The long-term gameplan governed the growth of the electric car manufacturer over many years to come. Then, around a decade later, Musk revealed the second phase of his plan, and now, about 5 years into the part-II of the plan, the Tesla CEO looks ready to unleash the third phase.

Of course, there’s some time before the part-III is made public but recently, Musk did drop some not-so-subtle hints at what to expect from the electric car manufacturer in the near future. “Main Tesla subjects will be scaling to extreme size, which is needed to shift humanity away from fossil fuels, and AI,” Musk tweeted.”But I will also Include sections about SpaceX, Tesla and The Boring Company,” he added.

True, Musk’s future plan for Tesla does sound a bit too gimmicky at this moment but let’s not forget that the Chief Engineer at SpaceX has got a thing or two for surprising everyone with his future-proof strategies and concepts that tend to leave everyone in awe. For instance, in the first part of his master plan, Musk had planned building a sports car (read: Tesla Roadster) as the starting point for the carmaker. The revenue generated from this was to be used for the development of a more affordable car, which, in turn, had to pave way for an even lower-priced model.

And that’s exactly how the Tesla Roadster led to the inception of the Model S, which later helped the carmaker come up with the Model 3. True, the execution wasn’t the smoothest and there were a few delays, but the carmaker did manage to get things right at the end. In the second part of its plan, things hit even bigger speed bumps. The semi truck, for instance, is yet to be made available, while the solar roof commands some unprecedented waiting periods. The proposed fleet of autonomous vehicles is still a while away.

But one thing that’s important to highlight here is the sales success of the available Tesla models. And this is exactly what will help Musk to scale his company to an “extreme size.” The Gigafactory is currently operating at full steam , while the carmaker is ready to commence production at the European plant. Tesla has already revealed it plans to start producing over 20 million cars an annum by the turn of the decade and that does sound pretty “extreme”, right? Finally, Elon Musk could even decide to gather all his companies, including the SpaceX, under one large umbrella to streamline operations. For now, though, we’ll have to wait for the complete announcement on what’s probably going to be the most important phase of Musk’s gameplan for Tesla.

2016 BMW K1600B Price

BMW has announced that 2018 BMW K1600B’s price will start from $19,995 (MSRP). An additional $495 destination fee will also be charged, taking the price up to $20,490. When you throw in some options on the bike, the price will go up still. However, how many baggers can you recall that come with a six-cylinder engine?

2016 BMW K1600B Specifications

The 2018 BMW K1600B will have a 1649cc inline six-cylinder engine that has fuel injection and liquid-cooling. This engine belts out max power of 160HP @ 7759rpm and 175Nm (129 lb ft) torque @ 5250rpm. It utilises a 6-speed gearbox that send power to the rear wheel via a shaft drive. The front is suspended by BMW’s Duolever unit while the rear has BMW’s Paralever unit. However, in comparison to K1600GT and K1600GTL, the rear of the bike has been lowered. The bike has dual 320mm discs with two 4-piston calipers up front and one 320mm disc with one 2-piston caliper at the back for braking duties. ABS is standard offering on the bike. It is capable of speeds in excess of 200kmph and its fuel consumption is likely to be close to 45mpg.

2016 BMW K1600B Features

Standard offerings on the 2018 BMW K1600B include three riding modes, traction control, cornering ABS, heated seats and hand grips, power-adjustable windshield, cruise control and electronic suspension with two modes. For a premium, you can equip the bike with a quickshifter, Reverse Assist, Hill Start Control, adaptive headlights and flooboards. BMW also offers three add-on packages with the bike – safety, comfort and touring package. These come with their own set of optional equipment combinations.

2018 Yamaha X-Max 400: What’s New (or Updated)

The X-Max 400 gets styling and mechanical updates. In terms of styling, it gets reshaped bodywork that makes it look like the X-Max 300. It gets LED lighting at both front and rear ends. 2018 Yamaha X-Max 400: The Mechanical Bits

The 2018 Yamaha X-Max 400 comes with a 395cc single-cylinder engine with power output of 33BHP and torque output of 36Nm. The motor features fuel injection and lqiuid-cooling.Featuring a wet-sump lubrication system, the X-Max 400 has a V-belt automatic transmission. This scooter’s fuel consumption figure is approximately 24 KMPL.

At the front, there is a telescopic fork on the scooter which has 110mm of travel. The rear is suspended by twin shocks, which Yamaha calls Unit Swing. The rear suspension has a 107mm travel. There are twin disc brakes up front with 267mm rotors while the rear has a single disc brake with 267mm rotor. ABS is standard on this scooter. The X-Max 400 weighs 210kg with fluids and it has a 13-litre fuel tank.

2017 BMW R1200GS: Recall

The recall issued by BMW Motorrad affects the bikes made between November 2013 and June 2017. BMW says that if the bike is subjected to momentary high stress, the fork stanchion can suffer damage. In the worst case scenario, the fork can become detached from the point where it meets the handlebar, leading to immediate and total front end failure. While no reports of such damage have surfaced yet, the bikes that have been used off-road extensively may have suffered damage. As a fix to this issue, BMW will retro-fit the fork with an additional fork tube bush to slide over the fork tube. However, in case the fork has suffered damage, the fork will be replaced with the modified parts.

2017 BMW R1200GS: The Bike

BMW states that all new BMW R1200GS bikes will come with new front suspension fork. The bike comes with a 1170cc twin-cylinder boxer engine that makes 125BHP power and 125Nm torque. THis engine sports air/liquid cooling and fuel injection. The bike comes with a 6-speed gearbox that powers the rear wheels via a shaft drive. A 37mm Telelever fork handles suspension duties up front while a Paralever shock takes care of these duties out back. At the front, there are two 305mm discs with with two four-piston calipers. At the back, there is a single 276mm disc with one two-piston caliper. ABS is standard on the bike and it is capable of speeds in excess of 200kmph.

2017 BMW R1200GS: Features

Among the standard features on the bike come height-adjustable rider seat, adjustable windscreen, a centre stand and luggage carrier. Also standard is an aluminium bash plate. The 2017 BMW R1200GS uses one key for ignition, steering, fuel cap and seat locks. There are grab handles on the bike for the pillion rider. Also offered as standard feature are adjustable brake and clutch levers. There is Automatic Stability Control on offer on the bike with Rain and Road riding modes.
