Vancouver garage rockers Dead Ghosts released their latest LP Can’t Get No back in April. They may be fuzzy and have everything turned up while recording but for the most part everything manages to remain relatively clear, from the vocals to the guitar. “Can’t Get No” was recorded with an old 8-Track the group found on Craigslist. With influences of surf-rock and the use of classical licks, here’s another album to include in your summertime mix.

Lombok is a dream-pop group from Victoria BC.The band was formed by Owen Hooper after a year in Indonesia. The latest EP The Great South-East embodies some of his travels. Their Bandcamp page has a track by track description of each of the tracks. The songs meld Eastern melodies with the Western indie-pop structures.
