I’m all about statement necklaces and their ability to transform an outfit from simple to glamorous. However, I think some designers go a little too far with the idea. Take the Missoni’s fringed necklace pictured above. If you naturally gravitate towards a subtle look, seek elsewhere because this necklace is definitely loud. I am a fan of fringed necklace when done right. In Missoni’s case, I felt the necklace resembled a fuchsia-colored man’s beard. Fashion should speak for itself but you don’t want to send the message that you are wearing a Halloween costume in the middle of May.

Prada is always known for their exciting new outrageous designs. This season for Spring / Summer 2012, Prada has released a car printed handbag series. It consists of unusual body colors with a 1950’s old school car decoration in the front of the handbag.

Would I ever wear this bag? Most likely I won’t; however, I must confess I do respect Prada for their innovative designs. I just feel it’s too much fashion for my liking.

Be a boss, wear the BOSS, and show them all whose boss. This is my sad attempt in sounding inspirational to motivate any average Joe out there to work towards “BOSSdom.” What is BOSSdom one might ask? It’s a made up bossy sounding word from the top of my head to describe an authoritative, organized, dominant decision maker. BOSSdom is also a play on word with one of my failsafe brands Hugo BOSS. One does not become a boss by just wearing Hugo BOSS, mind you. But it can project BOSSdom from miles away.

So what struck me in the head to annoyingly incorporate “boss” in every single sentence? It was the BOSS black “Buxton 2” briefcase.
