The Interactive MarketWall is ideal for anyone looking to interact with the financial markets. The product was primarily designed for use in a business school finance labs, but the design also has applications in professional trading rooms and public spaces such as atriums or retail brokerage locations to educate and entertain users. The MarketWall template can be shown on a single interactive screen or a large video wall. When users aren’t interacting with the display the content rotates through the various markets to keep viewers abreast of the conditions.

Adding a Twitter Feed to your Digital Signage Presentation

If you’re currently using the Twitter gadget you will notice that its not working. But don’t worry, it’s not your fault. The Twitter gadget is down due to Twitter changing their API. While we’re working on trying to get this fixed, here’s a quick solution:

Replace the current Twitter gadget with the RSS feed gadget. Enter in the following URL in the ‘RSS URL’ box:

https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.rss?screen_name=xxxx

***xxxx being the name of your Twitter handle. If you don’t know what your Twitter handle is please see below:

Here is a screenshot of the RSS gadget:

Lastly, make changes to the preferences to get the desired look. If for some reason your RSS is not working then make sure you have ‘Protect my Tweets’ unchecked in your preferences

Adding a Facebook Feed to your Presentation

With Facebook being so popular nowadays it seems like everyone has a Facebook page; including companies, schools, and organization. So why not add a facebook feed to your presentation to share more information and updates?

First thing you’ll need to do is acquire the id associated with your Facebook account. To do so, you’ll need to go the following page: https://graph.facebook.com/[the name of your Facebook page]

Example: https://graph.facebook.com/risedisplay.

The id will be listed at the top like so:

Copy this id number or write it down.

Now, in your presentation, create a placeholder and add the HTML widget.

Last step is to copy the following code and paste it into the HTML widget.

Replace the ############# with the id of your company and voila…. your presentation will now have an Facebook feed. This piece of code is setup so that the height and width of the Facebook feed will fit the size of the placeholder. Cool, huh?
