Toxic shock: California allows up to one thousand times more glyphosate in drinking water than needed to cause breast cancer in women

Late last week, a story broke that revealed glyphosate -- the chemical name of Roundup herbicide -- multiplies the proliferation of breast cancer cells by 500% to 1300%... even at exposures of just a few parts per trillion (ppt).

The study, published in Food and Chemical Toxicology, is entitled, "Glyphosate induces human breast cancer cells growth via estrogen receptors." You can read the abstract here.

There's a whole lot more to this story, however, but to follow it, you need to understand these terms:

ppm = parts per million = 10 (-6) = number of parts out of a million

ppb = parts per billion = 10 (-9), which is 1,000 times smaller than ppm

ppt = parts per trillion = 10 (-12), which is 1,000 times smaller than ppb and 1,000,000 times smaller than ppm

The study found that breast cancer cell proliferation is accelerated by glyphosate in extremely low concentrations: ppt to ppb. The greatest effect was observed in the ppb range, including single-digit ppb such as 1 ppb.

This news, all by itself, sent shockwaves across the 'net all weekend. Women were asking things like: "You mean to tell me that glyphosate residues on crops in just ppt or ppb concentrations can give me breast cancer?"

Skynet to Launch October, 2013

Business Insider published an article about the NSA data center being constructed in Bluffdale, Utah. The facility, being roughly 1 million square feet, will house a computing and data harvesting and long term data storage facility to be operational by October 2013. (Source)

The stated purpose of the facility is to "listen and decode all foreign communications of interest to the security of the United States." But in light of the recent revelations of NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, the data center under construction in Utah is far more likely a tool of the United States Government (and its global masters) to collect unimaginable amounts of data on Americans and eventually every human on earth.

In fact, as far back as the mid nineteen eighties, the NSA and other intelligences agencies created and controlled a secret computer monitoring operation in New Zealand and elsewhere called project ECHELON.

Designed and coordinated by NSA, the ECHELON system is used to intercept ordinary e-mail, fax, telex, and telephone communications carried over the world's telecommunications networks. Do ‘Big Food’ Execs Eat Their Own Products? They Know Better

What do executives at Kraft and Frito Lay have in common with many other heads of American Big Food companies?

Many of them choose organic foods for themselves and their families, despite their stringent marketing and support of processed foods and GMOs for the general public.

Michael Moss, an investigative reporter for the New York Times, interviewed a number of processed food officials. He writes, “it was everything from a former top scientist at Kraft saying he used to maintain his weight by jogging, and then he blew out his knee and couldn’t exercise, his solution was to avoid sugar and all caloric drinks, including the Kool-Aid and sugary drinks that Kraft makes.”

Moss goes to on describe his experience with a former top scientist at Frito Lay: “I spent days at his house going over documents relating to his efforts at Frito Lay to push the company to cut back on salt. Â He served me plain, cooked oatmeal and raw asparagus for lunch… he did not have one single processed food product in his cupboards or refrigerator… one reason they don’t eat their own products, is that they know better.”

They do indeed know better. However, it is in these executives’ best interest for consumers to remain ignorant of the dangers of processed foods, so that they can continue to make huge profits on chemical-filled products, while eating whole, organic foods themselves.

A new trick that is being used by processed food conglomerates to make their products appear healthier to an increasingly-knowledgeable consumer base is the addition of ‘flavor enhancers.’ Instead of listing salt, sugar and trans fats on ingredient labels, companies can just hide these under the category of ‘artificial and natural flavors.’

Following my last article The Law of Attraction and The Power of Your Mind, the subsequent information intends to further expand into the application of the necessary skill of discernment in order to manifest your desired reality.

To recap: Your mind is a sophisticated broadcasting system. We emit and absorb frequencies according to the frequencies (thoughts and belief systems) that we hold in our mind. In order to reset our innate power of creation, we must get our mind right by consciously applying discernment to every frequency (thought or emotion) that we emit and absorb. In other words, choosing to accept or reject frequencies is the first step in re-setting your broadcast system (your mind). It is how we begin to attune ourselves to source energy, our higher self, our life’s purpose, happiness, love, our true potential, etc.

Since the average individual’s mind broadcasts in the ballpark of 70 000 thoughts per day, we would drive ourselves absolutely mad trying to discern (monitor) every one of those thoughts. Especially since the vast majority of those are ingrained in the sub-conscious through belief systems that have deeply conditioned our habitual neuron pathways. The good news is that there is a shortcut to monitoring your thoughts and re-attuning yourself to your true manifestation potential. That shortcut is your emotions: your innate guidance system. This is a basic process that is fundamental to manifestation. Focus on feeling good! When your emotions are signaling that something (a frenquency) doesn’t feel good, apply discernment and re-focus your vibration on anything that feels good (a higher frequency). Splenda® Sucra-Highs and Sucralose: Miracle Sweetener or Cause of Leukemia?

While millions around the world consume foods and beverages sweetened with Splenda (sucralose) with abandon, an accumulating body of research indicates that this synthetic chemical is far from safe, may contribute to obesity and blood sugar disorders, and more recently has even been linked to leukemia in animal experiments.

For several years now, Greenmedinfo (GMI) has consolidated scientific study abstracts from the National Library of Medicine about Splenda (sucralose) and its potential health related effects. Two articles citing the most compelling research are The Bitter Truth about Splenda and Splenda (Sucralose) Found to have Diabetes Promoting Effects, both by GMI's founder, Sayer Ji. The former refers to its xenobiotic nature, i.e. its metabolically foreign chemical properties, 1 and provides evidence that when the sensation of sweetness is disassociated from 'food,' i.e. a source of calories or nutrition, it is either unrecognizable by the body, or disrupts the body neuroendocrine system in an adverse manner. 2

The latter article focuses on the potential sucralose has to promote diabetic and /or pre-diabetic disease processes within the human body. The results delineated in the study point to just a single dose of sucralose resulting in increases in blood sugar concentration, increases in insulin levels and decreases in insulin sensitivity, all of which are possible pre-cursors to diabetes. 3

On the surface, the J&J rebuttal reasonably addresses the points of view expressed in these articles. However, on further analysis, it is clear that several of its criticisms are superficial: namely, that the study did not test subjects with diabetes (even though the sucralose ingestion is clearly attributed to an increase in blood glucose levels and insulin secretion in subjects) and second, the methodology of the study which, Thomas notes, was 'small.. and was not backed by scientific collective data' 4

Three out of four doctors would prescribe medical marijuana to patients: Study

New York City Mayor Michael "Nanny" Bloomberg thinks medical marijuana is a hoax, but as far as I know he's never been to medical school, which is obvious based on the results of a new survey that found more than three-quarters of physicians would prescribe it to their patients if they could.

The results of the study, which were published recently in the New England Journal of Medicine, found that 76 percent of physicians polled would prescribe pot to patients who were experiencing pain from cancer.

According to the Journal, a non-scientific survey held in "Clinical Decisions, an interactive feature in which experts discuss a controversial topic and readers vote and post comments," received 1,466 votes from 56 states and provinces in the U.S. and the Americas, as well as 72 countries.

Participants were presented with the case of a 68-year-old woman named Marilyn who had been experiencing symptoms from metastatic breast cancer. Forum participants were asked to vote on whether physicians should prescribe medical marijuana to help her ease her symptoms. They were also given a pair of opinion pieces that were written for doctors arguing for and against the use of medical marijuana.

Groundbreaking Study Links Monsanto’s Glyphosate To Cancer

Glyphosate is a major component of Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide. It was created and manufactured on a mass scale by Monsanto and is one of the most widely used herbicides in the world. A number of scientific studies surrounding glyphosate have shed light on the danger it posses to the human body. A new groundbreaking study has now found that the most active ingredient in Monsanto’s best selling herbicide “Roundup” is responsible for fuelling breast cancer by increasing the number of breast cancer cells through cell growth and cell division.

The study is published in the US National Library of Medicine (4) and will soon be published in the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology. Several recent studies showed glyphosate’s potential to be an endocrine disruptor. Endocrine disruptors are chemicals that can interfere with the hormone system in mammals. These disruptors can cause developmental disorders, birth defects and cancer tumours.

Glyphosate exerted proliferative effects only in human hormone-dependent breast cancer. We found that glyphosate exhibited a weaker estrogenic activity than estradiol. Furthermore, this study demonstrated the additive estrogenic effects of glyphosate and genisein which implied that the use of glyphosate-contaminated soybean products as dietary supplements may pose a risk of breast cancer because of their potential additive estrogenicity. Researchers also determined that that Monsanto’s roundup is considered an “xenoestrogen,” which is a foreign estrogen that mimics real estrogen in our bodies. This can cause a number of problems that include an increased risk of various cancers, early onset of puberty, thyroid issues, infertility and more.

77% Do Not Trust Television News

The annual Gallup survey revealing confidence in institutions made news earlier this week for a record low score of 10% for Congress. But another figure is noteworthy in the study: only 23% of those polled said they had a "great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in Television News.

One would think that 77% lacking trust in television news is a staggering number. Yet it is actually an improvement over last year's results of 79% (or 21% with confidence).

While you might be hard-pressed to find a doctor that would recommend the use of cannabis during pregnancy, marijuana is the most commonly used illicit drug among expectant mothers (1). In fact, some studies suggest that up to 30% of pregnant women within certain demographics could be ingesting the herb in one way or another (2).

So, is consuming cannabis safe during pregnancy? Well, like most things cannabis-related, the answer is not as clear-cut as one might hope. Still, research over the past few decades has revealed a number of surprising — or not so surprising, depending on which side of the fence you sit — revelations about cannabis use during pregnancy.

The Endocannabinoid System and Fetal Development

Since the late 90′s, scientists have come to realize that every human possesses chemicals in their body that mimic the very same actions as THC — the primary compound found in cannabis. These chemicals are known as endocannabinoids and, together with the cannabinoid receptors that they bind to, make up what is known as the endocannabinoid system (3).

While the endocannabinoid system plays a variety of roles in the adult body, it has also been identified as a key regulator of fetal development. In fact, experts believe that endocannabinoids – specifically anandamide and 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) – are involved with everything from uterine implantation of the embryo to the formation of neural connections (4). The obesity crisis in the U.S. has always been viewed as somewhat of a puzzle. How did Americans get so large if other developed nations are consuming so many of the same foods. Experts have debated physical activity and other lifestyle choices for years as possible culprits. However, if we analyze ingredient lists on processed foods between just two other countries, namely Canada and the U.K, we find stark differences.

"For numerous suspicious and disturbing reasons, the U.S. has allowed foods that are banned in many other developed countries into our food supply," says nutritionist Mira Calton.

During a six-year expedition that took them to 100 countries on seven continents, the Caltons studied more than 150 ingredients and put together a comprehensive list of the top 13 problematic products that are forbidden by governments, outside the U.S., due to their detrimental effects on human health.

Examining just four processed foods, Coke, Gatorade, Heinz Ketchup and Ritz Crackers, we find that U.S. manufacturers insert high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) more than any other ingredient when comparing the same food product in Canada and the U.K.

Monster mosquito panic! Global warming causes elephant-sized zombie mosquitoes to invade Florida; victims sucked dry (satire)

Giant mosquitoes the size of elephants are invading Florida and sucking so much blood out of victims that they shrivel up and die, warned health authorities in Seminole County. They're being called "zombie mosquitoes" because a bite from one of these massive mosquitoes -- which can weigh up to 200 pounds and can carry a full five gallons of blood -- leaves victims shriveled and pale, looking much like a zombie. Those few who have survived encounters with the creatures say being bitten by one feels "like being stabbed by a pitchfork."

The American Red Cross is hoping to find a way to hack the tiny brains of the zombie mosquitoes and install remote-control interface chips that would allow Red Cross volunteers to pilot the creatures as if they were blood donor drones. "This could drastically increase the success of our blood drives," one worker told Natural News. "We just have to train them to deposit the blood at a Red Cross collection location." Watch for the Red Cross Airborne Insect Platoon to be deployed soon.

There has been some confusion in the public response to the zombie mosquitoes. When a local television station warned that "the blood suckers are coming!" several local conservative non-profit groups thought that meant they were being raided by the IRS. The panic ended when they realized the more sobering truth. "It turns out it was only elephant-sized blood-sucking mosquitoes with a 20-foot wingspan," explained Melvin Mayhem. "Compared to the IRS, that's nothing."

The rise of the zombie mosquitoes is, of course, attributed to global warming. "The problem is that too many humans are exhaling and too many cows are farting," explained Al Gore, spokesperson for Blood and Gore, also known as Generation Investment Management (GIM). David Blood, CEO of the company -- and yes, that's his real name just look it up -- is excited that global warming might give rise to yet more blood-sucking creatures. Channel 5 EXPOSED: The Gadget Show’s RFID + Human Microchipping propaganda

On Monday June 3rd, Channel 5′s ‘The Gadget Show’ aired a disturbing, eight-minute segment featuring the highly-invasive, RFID microchipping agenda, AKA “The Internet of Things”. The episode not only presented an entirely pro-RFID message featuring numerous menacing applications for the phenomenon, but went as far as nonchalantly stating that “the ultimate goal will be to have RFID chips fitted directly into our bodies“. The programme is watched by a young and impressionable demographic during prime TV viewing hours on Channel 5, and features a team of presenters mindlessly competing with each other for the “coolest” technology. Episodes are repeated on C5+1 and on the Channel 5 website allowing for an almost limitless audience reach.

Yet despite having the ability to influence the opinions and attitudes of millions of people each week, the programmers made no mention of the grave arguments against RFID technology nor of the implications for its widespread introduction. An alarming new study finds that glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup weedkiller, is estrogenic and drives breast cancer cell proliferation in the parts-per-trillion range. Does this help explain the massive mammary tumors that the only long term animal feeding study on Roundup and GM corn ever performed recently found?

An alarming new study, accepted for publication in the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology last month, indicates that glyphosate, the world's most widely used herbicide due to its widespread use in genetically engineered agriculture, is capable of driving estrogen receptor mediated breast cancer cell proliferation within the infinitesimal parts per trillion concentration range.[i]

The study, titled, "Glyphosate induces human breast cancer cells growth via estrogen receptors," compared the effect of glyphosate on hormone-dependent and hormone-independent breast cancer cell lines, finding that glyphosate stimulates hormone-dependent cancer cell lines in what the study authors describe as "low and environmentally relevant concentrations."

The results were broken down by the researchers as follows:

Glyphosate induces T47D, hormone dependent breast cancer cell growth.

The proliferative effect of glyphosate is mediated via estrogen receptors.

Glyphosate induces ERE [Estrogen Response Element]-transcription activity via estrogen receptors.

Glyphosate modulates the expression of E[strogen] R[eceptor] α and E[estrogen] R[eceptor]β in human breast cancer cells.

These effects indicate that glyphosate is a 'xenoestrogen,' capable of inducing Estrogen Response Elements (EREs) in a manner, slightly weaker but functionally similar to the most potent human estrogen Estradiol (E2).

Infant Formula Manufacturers Refuse To Remove GMO And New Research Now Links Formula To Chronic Disease

Nestle and Mead Johnson Nutrition recently dismissed calls to remove genetically-modified organisms (GMO) from their infant formula products in the US and now evidence is coming forth on long-term risks related to infant formulations. Epidemiological research has indicated a relationship between infant formula feeding and increased risk of chronic diseases later in life including obesity, type-2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Researchers stated that the comprehensive metabolic implications of formula vs breast-feeding play a role in long-term health risks.

Nestle and Mead Johnson Nutrition recently dismissed calls to remove genetically-modified organisms (GMO) from their infant formula products in the US -- citing the approved use of GMOs by several national and global regulatory bodies.

According to anti-GMO campaign group, GMO Inside, these companies "likely" use GMO ingredients such as soy, corn and sugar in their popular infant formula products.

In the letter, the campaign group urged Nestle USA's Paul Bulcke, Abbott Laboratories' Miles White, and Mead Johnson Nutrition's R Kasper Jakobsen to "take a proactive stand and announce a phase out of all GMOs in your infant formulas in 2013."

"Similac, Enfamil, and Gerber Good Start -- which combined account for more than 90% of all infant formula sales in the US -- are exposing American and Canadian babies to potentially grave health risks by using genetically modified ingredients," said a statement accompanying the letter.

Parents who feed their newborn and young babies any of Nestle Gerber's product lines are risking their infant's health by exposure to an abundance of toxic genetically modified ingredients that the company claims are "safe."

The 5 Tibetan Rites of Rejuvenation: 108 Movements to a Meditative Mind State

It just so happens that one of the quickest and simplest sets of meditative movements and one of the easiest to integrate as your own, is also one of the most powerful. The Five Tibetan Rites of Rejuvenation take about twenty minutes or so depending on how long you meditate, the longer the better of course.

There are many ways to do the Five Tibetans and the movements will benefit you in multiple ways also. As with all meditative movements, part of the reason people are adverse to beginning it – part of the reason we allow our ego to convince us we do not need to do such practices – is because we see that they take time. But remember meditative movements make time, they give you more energy and more efficiency.

The Five Tibetan Rites of Rejuvenation were not designed as beginner yoga, nor are they, but the fact they only take twenty minutes or so makes them totally accessible to our busied mind and active lifestyle that prevents us beginner yogis from beginning. I have described some finer points of each in the following.

5 Tibetan Rites of Rejuvenation

There are 5 movements done 21 times and 1 movement done, most frequently, 3 times, equating to 108 breath coordinated movements. Scare Tactics Used in Australia

Over the last few weeks, newspapers in Australia have reported that due to the changes being made to the Public Health Act, parents will be forced to produce an up-to-date vaccine certificate, or a conscientious exemption form countersigned by their doctor, if they want to use day care facilities for their children. Any day care facility failing to comply with these new regulations is likely to incur a fine.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the President of the NSW branch of the Australian Medical Association, Brian Owler, has declared this “a sensible move.” He believes that making parents supply mandatory documentation about their children’s vaccination status will boost vaccination rates. Jillian Skinner, the NSW Health Minister, told reporters:

“Anyone who has seen a baby with whooping cough or a toddler with measles or has spoken to a parent who has lost a child knows the devastating consequences of failure to vaccinate.”

Sanity prevails: US Supreme Court rules that human genes are not eligible for patent protection

In a unanimous ruling, the United States Supreme Court ruled today that human genes cannot be patented. The ruling invalidates the thousands of patents that have already been granted on human genes, including the patent by Myriad Genetics on the BRCA breast cancer genes which the company says no one else can research or even detect without paying it a royalty. "Myriad did not create anything," said Justice Clarence Thomas. "To be sure, it found an important and useful gene, but separating that gene from its surrounding genetic material is not an act of invention."

Well, exactly. This point should have been obvious to the lower courts, too, but in today's world of corporate domination over seemingly everything, gene industry lawyers were able to argue that patent protection would somehow inspire more innovation and research. "The biotechnology industry had warned that an expansive ruling against Myriad could threaten billions of dollars of investment," wrote Reuters.

But exactly the opposite is true. Gene patents restricted research and created medical monopolies that raised prices for consumers. Even USA Today seemingly gets this point, saying, "The decision represents a victory for cancer patients, researchers and geneticists who claimed that a single company's patent raised costs, restricted research and sometimes forced women to have breasts or ovaries removed without sufficient facts or second opinions."

The ACLU, which argued the case before the Court, said, "By invalidating these patents, the Court lifted a major barrier to progress in further understanding how we can better treat and prevent diseases."

McDonald's closing all restaurants in Bolivia as nation rejects fast food

McDonald's happy image and its golden arches aren't the gateway to bliss in Bolivia. This South American country isn't falling for the barrage of advertising and fast food cooking methods that so easily engulf countries like the United States. Bolivians simply don't trust food prepared in such little time. The quick and easy, mass production method of fast food actually turns Bolivians off altogether. Sixty percent of Bolivians are an indigenous population who generally don't find it worth their health or money to step foot in a McDonald's. Despite its economically friendly fast food prices, McDonald's couldn't coax enough of the indigenous population of Bolivia to eat their BigMacs, McNuggets or McRibs.

One indigenous woman, Esther Choque, waiting for a bus to arrive outside a McDonald's restaurant, said, "The closest I ever came was one day when a rain shower fell and I climbed the steps to keep dry by the door. Then they came out and shooed me away. They said I was dirtying the place. Why would I care if McDonald's leaves [Bolivia]?"

Fast food chain remained for a decade, despite losses every year

The eight remaining McDonald's fast food shops that stuck it out in the Bolivian city's of La Paz, Cochabamba, and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, had reportedly operated on losses every year for a decade. The McDonald's franchise had been persistent over that time, flexing its franchise's deep pockets to continue business in Bolivia.

Any small business operating in the red for that long would have folded and left the area in less than half that time. Even as persistent as McDonald's was in gaining influence there, it couldn't continue operating in the red. After 14 years of presence in the country, their extensive network couldn't hold up the Bolivian chain. Store after store shut down as Bolivia rejected the McDonald's fast food agenda. Soon enough, they kissed the last McDonald's goodbye.

NY Times Publishes Kraft Mac & Cheese Warning Label

What’s considered the most respected newspaper in the world today published the Kraft warning label that a Food Babe reader found in the UK on an imported US box of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. I want to thank the NY Times for investigating and broadcasting this label to the world and millions of Americans in their newspaper and online for everyone to see. This is a huge victory in food awareness!

Toxin in Artificial Butter Flavoring Connected with Higher Alzheimer’s Risk

Next time you have a relaxing movie night at home and have a craving for microwave popcorn, you may want to choose a non-buttered variety.

A new study has found that a chemical in the artificial butter flavoring used on microwave popcorn, as well as in some candies, baked treats and margarines, can increase the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease, or worsen the condition if it is already present.

The ingredient in question is diacetyl, also known as DA. A research team at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis discovered that the structure of DA has distinct similarities to the substance responsible for forming beta-amyloid proteins.

Beta-amyloid proteins, in excess numbers, sometimes clump together to form plaque on neurons. This neural plaque is a strong indicator of Alzheimer’s disease.

To test their theory that DA could have these beta-amyloid-producing effects, the scientists grew nerve cells in a laboratory, and exposed them to DA. They found that the DA led to an increase in beta-amyloid clumps formed on the cells, and that the clumping led to toxic damage to the cells. This study was published in Chemical Research in Toxicology.

DA has been under scrutiny by several older studies, which linked it to breathing trouble in those working at food-flavoring and microwave popcorn factories. While the exposure levels were high in the factory employees, die-hard microwave popcorn fans may well experience ill effects, as chemicals are often stored in the body and accumulate over time.
