Treat it as a thing that will make you grow to be a better person

We should try to improve ourself if its good for us but if such rumour just does not make sense ,just ignore it.

I admit that i`m not so good at language and writing but i`ll try to make it better.Your comment is most welcome .Sorry if I dont reply to your comment but i`ll take it and

personality

Personality play an important part in our life.
It can determine and also play apart in our sucess in live.

our personality can also be determine by the surrounding, people around us and our perspective

people like those who have great personality and a good charisma.

I`ve read somewhere that theres 2 way on how men relate sexy with women.
the first way is of course the physical sexyness.its how the women body is and what she wear.

the second way has to do with the mind.with proper mind ,the women behave well and a good manner.she also can discuss many issue without having to wear skantily.able to make men think more and in diferrent perpective.

The second way will last longer,of course and harder to find. wonder what you`ll think of a women in her 70s wear really sexily like her 20s.

beginning a new set of life

Beginning a new set of life may be enjoying or even dreadful.Whatever it is ,we have to keep in mind that it is for the better.Things change over time and we have to change to.You can`t be the same you in ten years time.you have to improve yourself for the better.everthing is changing whether you like it or not .Thats a fact in life we have to except.I know life is not fair, but what is fair in this world which is full of pretenders, selffish people..?
what we can do is to change our perpective,as the sayinig goes--change your perpective and you can change your life. Thats one of my favourite quote.

beginning a new set of life, like going to school, getting your first job and so on can make you a better person whether you realise it or not.You will learn new things ,make new friends and so on.
but in the end it still up to you to take it or leave it

How to be popular

Say what you mean and mean what you say.
Nobody likes a person who can`t keep his words.Especially in a world full of uncertainty,it feel good to know someone you can rely on.So be that kind of person, and you`ll star gaining friends.

Cultivate a sense of humorWhile you may not have a joke collection as huge as funnymen Jim Carrey, its helps if you can laugh at jokes and at yourself. Its hard to resist the sound of crystal-clear,hearty laughter.you can set the seed of humour germinating by reading amusing books and watching comedies. And don`t be afraid of doing something foolish.People like people who are human, which means it`s OK to commit gaffes from times to times

Be curious about others
Show an interest in what others are doing, and they`re likely to be interested in you too.People like to talk about themselves<despite what they may claim>.And everyone loves an audience. So go ahead and ask them about their hobbies, the latest movie they`ve watched and the cafe that serves the best cappuccino.A words of caution here:being curious does`t mean being nosey.Know when to stop digging

Look for goodness in others
Any fool can criticise and cut others to bits, but it takes a special person to see beauty and strength in a fellow human being.Open your eyes and your mind to find something you can admire about someone.Give sincere compliments when appropriate. We`re not talking about false flattery-that`s a sure way to invite distrust. There is something good in everyone, you only have to observe closely.

Keep yourself updated on what`s happening
Its useful to be in the know about something,if not many things. It make you interesting.Who want to be with a clueless dork?Make good use of the Internet, newspaper, television and radio.

Stand up for yourself.
If you have as much spines as jelly, its time to show that you are no pushover.People gravitate towards those with admirable qualities, and self respect is a wonderful thing to possess.Too many people lets other walk all over them ; so assert yourself, state your views and be proud of them.Don`t go to the extremes thought;maintain you stand gracefully without bulldozing the opinion of others.

Mind you manner
While you need not have the manners of the British royalty, you shouldn't`t be rude little bugger either.Sloppy table manners and slovery handphone etiquette are sure-fire ways of turning people off.Even being show off counts as bad form.

Really listen to others.
It feels good when someone pay attention when you are talking to them.So return them a favour and give 1000% of your attention to them too. A lot of people make a mistake of trying to gets a word in when people are talking.Practising good listening shows that you respect others. And respect beget respect.

Be big-hearted
Only little people take offence all the time.Know when to forgive and forget the little annoyance in life

an octuplets born

A women in california have gien birth to an octuplets at BELLFLOWER, California.6 boys and 2 girls!

no futher information at this moment, including the mom`s name, condition or whether she used fertility drugs.

The world's first live octuplets were born in March 1967 in Mexico City, but all the babies died within 14 hours, according to Encyclopedia Britanica.

Thanks tops entrecard dropper

I`m sorry for the late post but i want to thanks the top entrecrd on my blog for the month of december.

Time Recursion
fwaggle.org
Up to the Minute, with C.G. There is an attraction factor. We want to know a smiling person and figure out what is so good. Frowns, scowls and grimaces all push people away -- but a smile draws them in.And for girls, guys like us smilimg at them .

Changes Our Mood
Next time you are feeling down, try putting on a smile. There's a good chance you mood will change for the better. Smiling can trick the body into helping you change your mood.It will makes us feel attractive and have more confidence in ourself

Reduces Stress
Stress can really show up in our faces. Smiling helps to prevent us from looking tired, worn down, and overwhelmed. When you are stressed, take time to put on a smile. The stress should be reduced and you'll be better able to take action.

WEALTH
Seem Successful
Smiling people appear more confident, are more likely to be promoted, and more likely to be approached. Put on a smile at meetings and appointments and people will react to you differently.

HEALTH
Boosts Your Immune System
Smiling helps the immune system to work better. When you smile, immune function improves possibly because you are more relaxed. Prevent the flu and colds by smiling.

Lowers Your Blood Pressure
When you smile, there is a measurable reduction in your blood pressure. Give it a try if you have a blood pressure monitor at home. Sit for a few minutes, take a reading. Then smile for a minute and take another reading while still smiling. Do you notice a difference?

Smiling is a natural drug.
Smiling Releases Endorphins, Natural Pain Killers and Serotonin
Studies have shown that smiling releases endorphins, natural pain killers, and serotonin. Together these three make us feel good.

Your smile is contagious

So from now
Practice makes perfect. At first, you will have to intentionally "think" at smiling to people. After that, it will become automatic as it is suppose to be

Thanks for the Lemonade Award for having an Attitude of Gratitude!

Thank you, thank you, thank you . "Whether you're happy depends not just on your own actions and behaviors and thoughts, but on those of people you don't even know."

While the study is another sign of the power of social networks, it ran through 2003, just before the rise of social networking Web sites like Friendster, MySpace and Facebook. Christakis couldn't say for sure whether the effect works online.

"This type of technology enhances your contact with friends, so it should support the kind of emotional contagion we observed," he said.

Christakis and co-author James Fowler, of the University of California in San Diego, are old hands at studying social networks. They previously found that obesity and smoking habits spread socially as well.

For this study, published in the British journal BMJ, they examined questionnaires that asked people to measure their happiness. They found distinct happy and unhappy clusters significantly bigger than would be expected by chance.

Happy people tended to be at the center of social networks and had many friends who were also happy. Having friends or siblings nearby increased people's chances of being upbeat. Happiness spread outward by three degrees, to the friends of friends of friends.

Happy spouses helped, too, but not as much as happy friends of the same gender. Experts think people, particularly woman, take emotional cues from people who look like them.

Christakis and Fowler estimate that each happy friend boosts your own chances of being happy by 9 percent. Having grumpy friends decreases it by about 7 percent.

But it also turns out misery don't love company: Happiness seemed to spread more consistently than unhappiness. But that doesn't mean you should drop your gloomy friends.

"Every friend increases the probability that you're at the center of a network, which means you are more eligible to get a wave of happiness," Fowler said.

Being happy also brings other benefits, including a protective effect on your immune system so you produce fewer stress hormones, said Andrew Steptoe, a psychology professor at University College London who was not involved with the study.

But you shouldn't assume you can make yourself happy just by making the right friends.

"To say you can manipulate who your friends are to make yourself happier would be going too far," said Stanley Wasserman, an Indiana University statistician who studies social networks.

The study was only conducted in a single community, so it would take more research to confirm its findings. But in a time of economic gloom, it also suggested some heartening news about money and happiness.

According to the research, an extra chunk of money increases your odds of being happy only marginally _ notably less than the odds of being happier if you have a happy friend.

"You can save your money," Christakis said. "Being around happy people is better."

___

On the Net:

http://www.bmj.com

---------------------------------------------------

Improve memory

Memory plays an important part in our live .We often forget things.Forgetting things can loss our credibility especially in working world and if you`re a boss.

Short-term memory refers to the capacity for holding a small amount of information in mind in an active, readily available state for a short period of time. The duration of short-term memory is about 20 seconds. Estimates of the capacity of short-term memory vary – from about 3 or 4 elements (i.e., words, digits, or letters) to about 9 elements

Long-term memory is memory that can last as little as a few days or as long as decades.

Memory is affected by many factors such as:
Age
Depression
Chemical or toxic exposure
Stress
Overall brain health
Genetics
Medication side effects
Alcoholism
Diet

Trust and be confident that you have a good memory

An active social life
Be a social butterfly. One study found that people who socialize regularly do far better on memory tests than their less outgoing counterparts, since participating in conversations exercises the brain.

Exercise.Physical activity rushes oxygen to the brain and builds new cells in the brain region linked to memory.

Take a nap Research has found that people who squeeze in a catnap during the day retain twice as much of the information they learned that day as those who don’t.

Organize your thoughts.By organizing your though ,it will be clearer to you of what to think and remember

Learn to use Mnemonics Mnemonic are clues of any kind that help us remember something, usually by causing us to associate the information we want to remember with a visual image, a sentence, or a word.

Use all your senses.
The more senses you use when you learn something, the more of your brain will be involved in retaining the memory. For example, odors are famous for conjuring memories from the distant past, especially those with strong emotional content, such as visits to a cookie-baking grandparent.

Read ,Draw and write
Widen the brain regions involved in learning by reading aloud, drawing a picture, or writing down the information you want to learn (even if you never look back at your notes). Just forming a visual image of something makes it easier to remember and understand; it forces you to make the information more precise.

Repeat things you need to learn. The more times you hear, see, or think about something, the more surely you’ll remember it

Do new things and challenger yourself
Engaging in activities that require you to concentrate and tax your memory will help you maintain skills as you age. Discuss books, do crossword puzzles, sudoku, try new recipes, travel, and undertake projects or hobbies that require skills you aren’t familiar or comfortable with. Again, challenge all of your senses as you venture into the unfamiliar: Try to guess the ingredients in a restaurant dish; give sculpting or ceramics a try; sample different types of music.

If you’re trying to memorize something, do it on an empty stomach. The hormone that improves memory is highest when the stomach is empty.

Move your eyes
Moving your eyes side to side for 30 seconds every morning can improve memory by ten percent. How? It gets the two sides of the brain working in harmony.

how to set goals

Why should you set goals?
By setting goals you will recognize your ability and competence in achieving the goals that you have set. This will also raise your self-confidence .Besides that you will know whats your negative points.By knowing your negative point, you can find ways to improve.

What goals to set?
To set goal ,it must first be important to you and something that you want.
Financial, social, mental, spiritual, health, career, family and home, physical are the area where you can make goals on.

There are two type of Goals. They are short-term and long term goals.
Long-term goals can take about four to five years to achieve.
Short term goals can be reached in one to two years or even in six month depend on you goals.

You goal must be:
S = Specific
M = Measurable
A = Attainable
R = Realistic
T = Timely

Specific-what,why, how
What information do I have?
What information do I need? Where can I get it?
What skills do I need to master?
What other resources should I use?
Why is this important to do at this time?
What do you want to ultimately accomplish?
Is this the best way to do it, or is there some other way? <how>

Measurable
Choose a goal with measurable progress, so you can see the change occur.Break each goal of your goal into sub tasks that need to be completed. This will make it easy for you to achieve it.Outline the steps needed to achieve it and put it into your daily plan.Use your daily to-do list as a means to reach even your lifetime goals. Now that you've divided your goals into achievable tasks, incorporate those tasks into your list and pick them off, one at a time.

Attainable
A goal needs to stretch you slightly so you feel you can do it and it will need a real commitment from you.Write it down in complete detail.
Paste it somewhere visible like beside your mirror. It acts as a reminder everyday. Have a positive statement and express your goals positively.Besides that consider possible blocks and ways of dealing with them.

RealisticWhen you set a goal ,it must be realistic.not too high or too low.Having goals that too high will make you sad when you realise that you cannot achieve it.Some set their goal too low ,afraid of being a failure or take it too easy.

Timely
Set a deadlines and time frame for the goal: for next week, in three months.
Commit to carrying out your plan of action within the specific time frame.
Review and re-prioritize your goals regularly and when you suffer inevitable setbacks. Of course, you can learn new words but you need to to attentive.

Have you ever been irritated when someone who keep nodding his head but look at something or somewhere else when you are talking to him?
Surely he did`t show respect to you!

Great communicators are great listenersand listening actively show respect to the speaker.here are some ways:

Focus on the speaker completely and don`t do something else like checking your watches or even email. It`s rude!

Be genuine in listening When the speaker feel that you are really listening,it show that you respect him.He will ,in turn, thanks and respect you. You`ll respect him and he respect you and there`ll be trust trust is very important in any kind of relationship be it personal or business

Nod – nod once in a while to signal that you are listening. But don’t overdo it. Relate what the speaker is saying to what you already know. Also take note of the main point.

Do not interrupt you can ask question or give your opinion but just don`t interrupt. The speaker will appreciate your question or opinion as he tale it that you`re interested in what he is talking.Asking question can also show that you are listening and you want to confirm your understanding.

Take note of your own body posture Don’t slouch, sit up straight and don’t fidget .You body posture can show if you`re listening or just acting.

observe his attitude and body language. It`s all part of what he is saying.Sometimes people say something but communicate something else. You can see it through his body language

Watch how people act when they are talking. If you are smart and watch long enough you can catch a glimpse of their real personality.<Some people act as if they are better than they really are.>Knowing their real personality you can interact with them better.

The next time you are talking to someone takes note about the point i have mention and see if he really listening to you.Don`t forget to use it when you`re listening to someone else

China Olympics 2008

You may be wondering that this is a personal development site and what does it has to do with China Olympics 2008.We can learn lots of things if we really want to even if it just something minor or as big as the olympic

What can we learn from China Olympics 2008 ??

lots of things.I think that China had done a great job especially on the 080808 the China Olympics grand opening despite the many opposition and so on.

Few weeks before,I have watch<on Tv> many people from there, keenly learning phrases to welcome visitor to the Olympic. This include old women and men.The willingness to learn show that they are sincere to welcome the world and also to improve them self.
They are also doing their part for the team ,which in this case ,the team is China. That`s a good spirit and teamwork.Doing it although their parts is very small.

As for the atletic , even if they loss they should it as an experience to learn and improve their performance. It could be their stamina or mind that make them lose. They should try to figure out their problem .

There a lot more to learn .It just how you see it

knowledge sharing

Some of you may be selfish in thinking that " since I know more why should i be sharing the knowledge. They will be the same standard with me"

You should have the facts right.Knowledge alone won`t determine your success. Its how you use the little knowledge to make a difference.Even if you know many things but did not do anything,it useless.

Further more ,by sharing it with others you are unknowingly teaching them. When you teach ,you will remember the things more. You can also interact, discuss and hear their opinion which widen your horizon.Other will also share their knowledge to you ,so you know more and learn morewithout having to reads more book . You`ll gain something more when sharing.

Feel stupid asking question?

Are you one of those who feel stupid when asking question? Then you are not alone.
