Charismatic, creative and kind-hearted: Griffin Tucker was born to rock the world! I have had the privilege of meeting Griffin and his family in person and have had the unforgettable experience of hearing him perform live. A true rock star at heart, Griffin exudes an incredible energy when he sings and plays and appears completely at home on the stage.

Those of our readers who follow Griffin will know that his supporters are affectionately known as GriFANs and that the buck stops with his mother / manager (known to most as Momma G!) They say behind every great man (or boy) is an even greater woman and this is certainly true of Griffin who has a competent and powerful team in his family, and particularly Momma G. She was kind enough to provide us with an update giving some highlights from the last year:

“As many of you GrifFANs know, Griffin is a drummer at heart and has been since the age of 5.  But did you also know that Griffin is accomplished at many instruments? Piano, keyboards, harmonica, mandolin, ukulele, bass & guitar. In fact, heâ€s not just any kid who plays guitar. Last summer, he won the coveted TEXAS TOP TEN UNDER TWENTY GUITAR competition at the Dallas International Guitar Show.

In addition to being a multi-instrumentalist, heâ€s been gigging since the age of 8.  First, in a Beatles tribute band then he toured with Disney artist Zendaya. Next came Westfield Presents in London England then a KISS tribute band – and, now, he plays as a solo artist whenever heâ€s not in school.

And, those who are lucky enough to see him perform live are blown away! Not only because of his musicianship but because of his stage presence! He is a ROCKSTAR!!!”

A Children’s Crusade

For me personally, Griffin was formative in my growing belief that young creatives are the hope for the future. Like so many amazing children, he is largely unaware of the positive effect he has on so many. When I first discovered Griffin he was 10-years-old and I was helping him grow his Twitter following. What struck me then and still does now was his genuine kindness and concern for his fans. This combined with a natural talent and work ethic that is only matched by his modesty makes Griffin one hec of an inspirational kid and – dare I say it – a role model for boys in their early teens. He knows what it is, as Led Zeppelin would have it, ‘to be a a rock and not to roll’.

It all sounds rather over-sensational doesn’t it? But what made it strangely fascinating for me is that it coincided with some detailed research that I was doing on the 1212 Children’s Crusade for a musical project.

Brief history intermission! 800 years ago – a time of great political strife - a 12-year-old, French shepherd boy, called Stephen arose as a great preacher. He gathered a huge and enthusiastic following of children and, likely, adults too from all walks of life (some scholars put it as high as 30,000) which sparked a series of critical events across Europe and beyond. Stephen carried a scroll which he claimed had been given to him by an Angel, with the seal unbroken, to be read only by the king of France. The pilgrimage ended in disaster. Intimidated by his powerful following, Stephen was refused access to the king and told, in no uncertain terms, to go home. Stephen did as he was commanded and the scroll was never seen again. There is a record of Stephen meeting the Pope in person who was intrigued by his fervour but told him to come back when he was older and it is likely that Stephen later became a crusader knight protecting the pilgrimage routes to the Holy Land. But I digress…

I became fascinated with the image of a Children’s Crusade and what that might look like today. The world of social media is riddled with risks and more than its fair share of darkness. I saw in Griffin a whole new world of possibilities. As well as sharing his talents and amazing music, Griffin has created a community where he supports his GriFANs as much as they support him, sharing in their successes and even asking everyone to pray for them when they are going through hard times.

As in 1212, thousands of people are rallying round Griffin, drawn by his music, his talent and his caring personality. My hope is that the adult world – in our wisdom – are not too quick to reject something which on first glance may appear threatening and out of control. I, for one, am excited to see what the future holds for Griffin and his army of GriFANs!

Looking ahead and an exclusive announcement!

Griffin has an incredible work ethic and manages to stay well on top of his school work as well as using every spare moment to develop his musical skills. He has plenty of natural talent and is blessed with perfect pitch and a wide vocal range, but much of Griffin’s success is down to his passion, dedication and hard graft. I remember hearing an interview where Griffin shared some golden advice from Momma G:

“Try to be a little better each day”

As simple as it sounds, this is some of the best advice I have ever heard – especially to young musicians in our culture of instant fame and recognition. If you can be dedicated enough to be a little better each day as a musician – and as a person – the only other things you need to reach your goals are some time and patience.

I asked Momma G about Griffin’s plans for the near future:

“Although Griffin doesnâ€t play much during the school year because he focuses on maintaining his A Honor Roll status, he does love to play for his fans. And, he is set to kick off this summer early this year by playing 2 shows on March 26th – one show is at a party with some surprise guest artists accompanying him on drums & bass; the 2nd is at the Prophet Bar in Dallas with a band named STEEL that he drums for.  But he is most excited about going back to the Dallas International Guitar Show to play on May 1st.

As Griffin says, “There is nothing better than playing and seeing people sing & rock out.” So if youâ€re in Texas or can get there, better check Griffin out!”

We are honoured to be able to announce here the title of Griffin’s next release! It is called ‘Who to Be’ and – in the manner we have come to know and love – Griffin will be playing every instrument and singing each vocal the track! He describes it as “a very Paul McCartney/ELO sounding tune.” Release is set for late May and a video will follow in the summer.

“I really enjoy singing and making people feel good inside!”

Here at Torchlight Talent we are especially inspired by talented young artists who overcome adversity with their art. By these standards, Colin Brennan’s story is the definition of inspiration!

Colin was first featured on Torchlight Talent (as Rivenmaster’s Place) when he was only 8 years old and was already tearing up the music scene in Canada! Check out that article here.

A blossoming career

Colin’s dad sent me a staggering list of his now 13-year-old son’s achievements since then. Among them: singing a duet with singer/songwriter Justin Hines at the Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre in Oakville, Ontario, being ranked in the Top 16 out of 4000 other children in the Next Star TV competition, and performing at ‘The Genius of Autism’ event in Times Square just one block off Broadway, New York, at the Historic Edison Ballroom. This is just a sample! Colin sings all the time in a range of styles and and to a vast variety of audiences. 

In Colin’s own words:

“I like music and singing because it is my life.”

Colin’s achievements are a testament to the power to transform lives and give motivation and purpose in situations which might otherwise have been characterised by frustration and helplessness. That said, music is a only a tool – a beautiful and powerful tool – but a tool nonetheless. It is the courage and passion of people like Colin and his family that are the essential ingredient in unleashing this untold potential.

Living with autism

I personally found myself deeply moved reading Colin’s story as an important part of my own professional work is using music in working with children and adults with severe and complex needs. I can recount many joyful experiences where non-verbal children have felt empowered to communicate through rhythm or paralysed children have been able to use their voices to join in music making. There have also been some bitter sweet moments like giving a terminally ill boy his last concert.

However, far from viewing his autism as a disability, Colin embraces it wholeheartedly! He even views it as a gift, recognising that, despite the challenges, he is also blessed with some amazing abilities:

“Just before I sing at any event, I visualize what I am going to do in my head and then I get very excited just before I actually sing because I know what I am going to do, I know how I am going to sing everything. By the way, I want you to know also that I never get nervous before I sing. It doesn’t matter how many people I sing to, 1 or 10,000 I never get nervous. I get excited, yes, but not nervous. It’s because I really enjoy singing and making people feel good inside!”

I would add to this that Colin also has perfect pitch and has the ability to work for long hours when recording without losing focus. In his Resume we read:

The owner of the River 16 Studio (Rob Lackie) was so impressed at how easy it was to work many long hours with Colin during his studio recording times. “Heâ€s no Diva” he said, and “believe me Iâ€ve met my fair share of Divas in this business!”

Onwards and upwards

Colin’s recent significant events have been performing in the Spring Concert at his church, Walton United, singing with his Youth Choir, singing for his Provincial Premier, Kathleen Wynne, and singing to Mayor Hazel McCallion.

Colin has also and sung with the amazing young Canadian singing sensation Johnny “O” (Orlando.) who is fast becoming a global hit. Other events include singing for Dr. Temple Grandin in Chicago, singing at The Oakville Prayer Breakfast, (700+ people), singing at The All Stars Award Gala, and singing at The Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association (ORMTA)… the list goes on!

Colin has been a vocal student for three years at the Cross Vocal Academy with an amazing vocal coach called Gregory Cross. Gregory is exploring many singing techniques with Colin and introducing him to many new genres of music. Mr. Cross appeared as M. Firmin in the award winning Toronto production of Phantom of the Opera and on Londonâ€s West End in Miss Saigon and has over 38 years experience as a professional vocalist.

Ultimately, Colin also aspires to be a professional singer and is already acutely aware of the practicalities of being a professional musician!

“I have already been paid money for some of my performances, and I hope that when I am married with my own family, I will be able to still be paid to sing!”

As a working musician, I can assure you, Colin, that you are not alone in that hope! Seriously though, you have the dedication, the skills and, most importantly, the passion which are the beginning of a long and exciting career.

It has been my privilege to work with the boys since they were 10-years-old and to share, not only in their musical journey, but also in that dangerous adventure that every adolescent boy must take: their journey to manhood.  

Though every boy must rise to this challenge, it cannot be overstated how difficult if can be. The Gaitway Brothers are no stranger to tragedy and perhaps this gives some of their music it’s unique pathos which fans often describe. I asked Steven and Peter to share personally a little about themselves:

Steven

“I was born in Scotland and I live Helensburgh. A lot of our songs are old traditional music and it’s written by Matthew or people we work with. 

A big struggle for me was my Dad passed away when I was 9. My Papa and Nana give me the strength to persevere because they are really supportive of me. 

My advice to other young people trying to succeed in music is try hard, don’t give up don’t listen to all the people that make fun of you or say you canâ€t do it.

“I was born in the Vale of Leven in Alexandria which is in in Scotland and I live in Helensburgh. My biggest musical inspiration is Matthew Todd, our manager and our friend.

We sing lots of traditional Scottish music and have other songs about God. Some of the songs we have sung are written by Matthew Todd and we do covers of other songs like ‘Human’ by the Killers.

Our Dad passed away when we were 9. It was hard and was a dark time for me. My Nana and Papa help me carry on because they encourage me and are very supportive, and my Mum as well.

My ambition is to learn Japanese and to achieve higher in all the subjects I choose at school and advance higher in some too.  I want to go to university and go to Japan and go to the Pokémon store and theme park.

My advice to other young people would be to try as hard as possible, believe in yourself and stick to it and practice.

Many of Gaitway Brothers’ most beautiful music videos are produced in collaboration with my talented brother Philip Todd, a professional actor and film-maker. Much of his work has featured on this site in the past including The Fable of Forsaken in which Steven plays the mysterious forest creature ‘Forsaken’ and Peter sings a haunting treble solo in the score. We have also featured Phil’s first fantasy feature film Dalriata’s King which is currently in post-production and in which Peter and Steven also have roles. 

Phil says of the Gaitway Brothers:

As many Gaitway Brothers fans will have worked out by now, the boys have a tendency to be lively to the point of hyper-active! But what you are unlikely to know is the miraculous transformation that comes over them when they start to sing. One minute they are running around like headless chickens and the next they are still, focussed and effortlessly making the most heart-wrenching music. 

Perhaps the award winning ‘Comhla Riut-sa’ remains the greatest legacy of Gaitway Brother’s work so far. The ethereal song and video combines the boys’ singing and acting talents; an original song with Scottish Gaelic lyrics; at the height of their treble abilities; and using some of the most stunning Scottish locations.

There is undoubtedly something uniquely powerful and moving about the unchanged treble voice. Perhaps it is that delicate marriage of something intensely beautiful which, in our hearts, we know will soon be gone. And perhaps this is what makes this music video so special. Peter and Steven’s experience of mortality give them the innate ability to naturally express the very mature and serious message of this song. It is as if there is a deeply hidden depth to the boys which we see only when they sing:

“My music is created to reach the soul of those who hear it”      Theo Constantin

Romania and its remarkable people have a special place in my heart. Torchlight Talent is privileged to feature young artists from all over the world, but we are especially delighted to introduce to you today the rising Romanian star, Theodor Constantin. 

Theo was born in Bucharest, the Romanian capital, in 2005 where he still lives with his family. His musical journey began in the choir of the Ecumenical Institute of Sacred Music in Bucharest where he quickly became a soloist and started to study piano at the age of five. As a soloist of the choir, Theo realised that solo singing gave him the opportunity he craved for self-expression and communication with his audiences. So, at just 7 years old he started studying pop music at the Academy of Fine Arts and today he is a student at the Art School of Bucharest where he studies solo singing and performing.

I asked Theo to tell me a little about his greatest musical influences:

“When Michael Jackson died, in 2009, I was almost 5 years old. In Romania, it was on all the radio stations and all the TV channels. His music was everywhere. This event was a significant moment in my life, I asked my parents for Michaelâ€s music. I have studied him – from the man to the artist – and it was from watching him that I learned my first lessons in solo singing.

The idea that I could express what I was singing best through solo performance was already deep inside me. Michael Jackson confirmed that for me. Through his music, I learned English – actually, I learned to speak English, without understanding what I was saying – by learning his famous songs. Then I listened to rock music, rock ballads. They had something special. They had a particular feeling.”

 

Theo has his own music producer and together they try to create music and videos to express the messages that Theo wants to communicate. His repertoire consists of both covers and his own original songs. One of the wonderful things about Theo’s music and videos is that they are unapologetically from his own perspective and expressing the joys and struggles which he experiences as a 10-year-old boy. He performs with such confidence and energy, you might expect Theo to be very outgoing and extraverted, but in truth he is a quiet and thoughtful boy for which music is his preferred method of communication.  

“Each track has its own history. It is inspired by real life. I am quite shy and usually donâ€t talk too much and that is why I think my music speaks for me. For example, my latest single, ‘I’ll be your hero’ has an underlying social message that I want to send to all those who can stretch out a hand to help the children who, unfortunately, do not have a family, a house or a toy. They would love it to happen. Thatâ€s why they need a hero in their life, a normal person who is willing to stretch out that saving hand toward them. My music is positive, though certain parts awaken feelings of sadness. It always expresses truth and all the tracks have a happy ending.”

 

On a personal level, I found myself extremely moved by Theo’s cover of ‘Read all about it’ by Emeli Sandé who, like me is, a Scottish artist. In summer 2012, I spent a very emotional time working in a Romanian Orphanage where I completely fell in love with Romania and its people and was heartbroken by some of the struggles I witnessed in my time there. (You can read my blog here) Given the recent history of Romania, some of the lyrics of ‘Read all about it’ – especially in Theo’s Romanian accent – were so profound that they almost reduced me to tears!

So How did we all get so fearful?
Now we’re finally finding our voices
So come, take a chance, help me sing this

 

“I am a lucky child, I truly believe this. I’m grateful for every little thing that I have achieved and if I don’t succeed first time, I keep trying until I do.

My music is created to reach the soul of those who hear it. I live in hope that somewhere, someday, someone is hearing my music and it is making them happy or encouraging them to do something good for themselves or for someone around them.

My friends and my fans encourage me in what I do and I am so grateful to them all for encouraging me and supporting my music. I wish that my music could unite people from all the parts of the world and give them pleasure and joy. For now, I know that all I want to do is to sing and, by this, to express my love for everything which is good and beautiful.”

I always enjoy the responses I receive from young artists when I ask them what advice they would offer to other young people pursuing their musical dreams. Theo’s response was particularly interesting. It is the first time I have heard such a young musician requesting constructive criticism! Here is his very mature response:

“I believe that each young person who sings or plays has great potential but, from my point of view, the accomplishment of our dreams depends on work, work and more work. But not just any kind of work: it must be driven by love and passion. If you donâ€t put passion and love in what you do, you will not succeed. I also think that itâ€s a good thing to take everything step by step and always be sure that what was made today can be made even better tomorrow.

I also believe that every young person hoping to become successful should let themselves be guided. He should accept the advice of the teachers and all the people who are in the music industry and he should also try to communicate freely with those who listen to his music to offer them what they want.

 

 

 

You, as readers and I as a singer, we all know that music connects people, that music speaks for us, that music creates better connections in the universe than we can do, as human beings. So we should listen to music with much pleasure, and listen with the desire to understand it.

You people, who are listening to me, you should criticise me when I’m wrong and also help me if you believe that I could be better. I accept any piece of advice which can get me closer to your heart. Actually, this is my main goal: to touch your hearts by telling you stories through music.”

“We started out by playing around with our father’s musical instruments. After practicing for a couple of months we entered our 3rd Grade Talent Show and played Twist and Shout and were hooked on The Beatles. We placed 2nd and then won first place the next two years.”

“We love communicating with our fans so keep the messages coming. All our fans messages and support keeps us motivated! We try to answer questions fans send us and interact with them on social media as much as we can.

We both have felt it is important to give back to the community in which we live. Not only does it make us feel good by helping others it promotes our message of young musicians inspiring the world through music. We use the hashtag #giveback on a lot of our posts to try and send a message to kids our age that our generation is the future and we think giving back is what it’s all about.

Now more than 5 years later Anthony has grown into an amazing performer and recording artist with a resume that includes performances with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. In fact if you have been following this site you already know that Anthony appeared on Ellen numerous times, his first appearance when he was just 7 years old.

Anthony has also been showcased on other major network programs like NBCâ€s Today Show and CBS Early Show. He has opened shows for The Jonas Brothers, Lady Antebellum, Jordan Pruitt, The Outlaws, The Temptations, Four Tops, Kellie Pickler just to name a few!

 

Anthony is also known for his truly amazing performances of the National Anthem for major sporting events and Professional Sports. In fact, five of these performances were held at Madison Square Garden for the New York Knicks. In addition he has opened games for The Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Twins, LA Dogers and others…

His first CD called “Finally Done” and the title song with the same name remains one of my favorites yet today. Knowing how that song was inspired helps in our understanding to why Anthony started the nonprofit organization called “Bowling Against Bullying”. Anthony has performed for numerous events for this organization with over $10,000 in proceeds raised going towards the anti-bullying projects of local school districts and anti-bullying charities. This alone says much about his character and desire for his music to make a difference in the world.

Naturally Anthonyâ€s voice has matured and strengthened since that first CD project, but even back then Anthony had that special quality to his voice that could not be denied!

 

PRESENT

In January of this year Anthony signed on with Cheiron Records where he has been creating new music for what Iâ€m sure will eventually become a full CD. Making countless trips to Florida where Cheiron is based, Anthony has been recording new music, attending dance rehearsals, having photo shoots, shooting videos, and more. This upcoming year is promised to be the most exciting and productive yet for Gargiula!

Anthony Gargiula Releases Single,  “So I Donâ€t Drown”

Released just two weeks ago, the third single Anthony has put out with Cheiron Records, “So I Don’t Drown”  hit Number One in New Artist category on the iTunes chart it’s first week running. This makes a loud statement of just where Anthony’s recording career is heading. I also highly recommend that after purchasing his new hit single you will also want to add DNA and Barricade. his previous two releases to your AG collection.

I asked Anthony to describe his new song and give us a little behind the scenes remarks regarding the making of his latest single. “So I Donâ€t Drown”  

“So I Don’t Drown” is one of my favorite songs that I have ever recorded. I recorded it with an amazing producer named Tim Coons. He has had so much success in this business with people like the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears. It was an honor to have worked with him.  

My brother, Louis was a big part of the song also, he wrote most of it with a little help from me here and there on some of the melodies and verses. Louis, Tim, and I had so much fun producing this song and making music in the studio. 

The lyrics of the song are really neat! The song has the word “drown” in the title, and throughout the song there are a ton of references to waves, water, and tides. This is such a fun song to dance to and I hope everyone enjoys it! ”      -Anthony

A new historical / fantasy epic is being created in Scotland. The film is set in the ancient Kingdom of Dalriata before it united with the Picts to become Scotland. Alpin MacEchdach must unite his kingdom if he is to defeat a terrifying supernatural evil and rescue his young brother, Finn. The deep characters and compelling story have motivated an enthusiastic cast and crew to attempt the impossible as they work together to bring this independent feature film to the screen.

‘Dalriata’s King‘ features young actors previously featured on this site including Peter Gait, Steven Gait (aka the Gaitway Brothers) and Finn is played by Noah Irvine (the younger brother of Samuel Irvine). These young actors also featured in ‘The Fable of Forsaken’ which was released last year and is now touring film festivals. Both films were ventures of the independent film company ‘Fellowship Film‘ which works alongside communities to bring about large-scale film projects of real depth and value.

Peter Gait is victim to the evil sorceress, Nathara (played by Kerry Browne)

Noah Irvine, comes from a family of actors and his father, Barry Irvine, played the heroic Templar Knight in ‘The Fable of Forsaken’. The shoot has been incredibly full on for the young actor and he will not be wrapped until mid-November. However, he has approached this difficult and very physical role with relish and no shortage of enthusiasm!

 Noah tells us:

“The film is awesome and if you like action, well… it’s just the perfect film!”

The press is hailing the film as the ‘budget braveheart‘ (but with better accents!) due to the fact that ‘Dalriata’s King‘ is a passion project, achieving professional standards and high production value on a micro budget. All cast and crew are giving their services for free because they wholeheartedly believe in the project and want to see a change in the provision for large scale films with creative vision.

A few on the other hand were well on their way to success even at the tender age of just 12. Such is the case of Canadian Singer, Songwriter, Musician, Lyric Dubee. In fact, he was working on his second album at the time, on an unfinished song called “Perfection!”

While I was provided the opportunity to meet with Lyric in person in Hollywood CA this past summer, I was also privileged to attend his latest CD release party which was held on September 19^th in his home town of Barrie, Canada. Although it meant driving more than 6 hours, it proved to be more than a worthwhile trip.

In case you havenâ€t been following Lyric or his music, Lyric just released 2 full length CDs. His 3^rd album had a planned release for 2014 but was put on hold after the 1^st single “Black Ice” (Watch Music Video) dropped and caught the attention of Legendary Rock & Roll Photographer Robert M Knight of Nevada.

Robert signed Lyric in September of 2014 and put Lyric in the studio with Grammy Award Winning Producer “Warren Huart” (Aerosmith, The Fray, James Blunt).

Black Ice was of course one of the songs that I could not wait to hear live at Lyricâ€s concert and I have to tell you, “The song sounded even better live than it did on the studio recording.”

For those who may not know, Lyric did all the instrumentation on his studio recordings which even further proves just what an amazing musician he is!

The entire evening of music and socializing with Lyricâ€s fans was a great experience! Anticipation continued to grow as the sold out crowd waiting for Lyric and his new band members to take the stage. Something that I noticed right away was the diversity of the crowd that gathered. Lyric has fans from all age groups and backgrounds. Both young school age kids, teens his own age, Momâ€s and Dadâ€s with small children and the older set as well, all made their way into the concert hall. Lyricâ€s merchandise table, displaying his CDâ€s, T-shirts, Photos and miscellaneous items was being met with a flurry of young people trying to get their share of the fan merchandise

Even though Lyricâ€s new band members had only been together less than a month for practice these guys sounded like a band that had been together for years. They opened the concert with the bandâ€s new Music Video for Lyricâ€s new hit single “Young and Restless” following it up with another Lyric original bringing the audience to their feet with cheers and applause!

Among his latest accomplishments, Lyric took home the MOST PROMISING YOUTH award at the Barrie Arts Awards in Nov 2014. He was also inducted into the Brotherhood of the Guitar in August of 2014. Since being in the brotherhood Lyric has met Slash, Andy McKee, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Carlos Santana, Eddie Money, Neal Schon of Journey and many more.

In the spring of 2015 Lyric was invited to walk the red carpet and attend Les Paulâ€s 100^th Anniversary with guitar greats such as Steve Vai, Joe Bonamassa, Johnny A., Warren Haynes, G.E. Smith, Steve Miller, & Joe Satriani. The after party was held at the famous NYC Iridium where Lyric was invited up to play some classic rock with the Countâ€s 77 then invited back up a second time to guest in with Lou Pallo and the Les Paul Trio to play some Jazz. He attended NAMM in California as a YAMAHA artist and was invited to a private show with Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper & Joe Walsh.

Lyric started recording his 3rd album in February 2014 and recorded all 10 songs between Nashville and Toronto.

In 2015 Lyric won PlaYr Award best Music Video for Black Ice PlaYr York Region Film Festival and his Song Feature “Black Ice” featured on Discover Hit Music – a Licensed to Play site.

He was a Semi-finalist: 2014 International Songwriting Competition (ISC) of “Bridge To Nowhere” and Won “Honorable Mention” with the song “They Say” on the 2014 Unsigned Only International Music Competition.

Lyric was recently featured in Guitar International Magazine and his photo is part of a rock n roll gallery at Delano Las Vegas along with Lorde, Slash, Carlos Santa and Jimi Hendrix

Lyric completed his 4^th album at age 16 and his manager Robert Knight has put together a killer band to back Lyric from all across North America.   If all this isnâ€t exciting enough for you the band is now preparing to perform in Japan & China starting this November.

I could not let this article go without introducing you to the band members with whom I was able to meet personally at the concert they are as follows in no particular order:

STEVE COSTELLO, Sudbury, ON. With classic guitar licks and heavy riffs Steve brings unity to Lyricâ€s new band. In the years since playing the Northern Ontario bar circuit at the age of 13, he has more than adequately proven his ability to rock with the best of them. Now 23, Steve has been doing what he loves best: entertaining!

“As well as being an outstanding musician, Steve is a very personal young man with whom I really enjoyed a short visit with after the concert.”

HUNTER CRAIG, Los Angeles, CA. A killer bass player who began learning bass in the 6th grade and attended music schools around the country. His family traveled a lot so he was exposed to and played music from LA to New York, Detroit to New Orleans and Memphis giving him the diversity of a man twice his age.

“I especially enjoyed watching Hunterâ€s animated performance as he never stood still during the entire concert.”

BOBBY ROSSON, Portland, OR. He started playing drums at the age of 8 and has played with Portlandâ€s School of Rock for five years and has toured with the prestigious All Star Program three years in a row. In 2013, Bobby won the store finals of Guitar Centerâ€s Drum-Off.

“I was able to briefly talk with and complement this amazing young drummer who poured himself out on stage in every song! Simply AN OUTSTANDING PERFORMER”

Among other things in the past year Lyric is now endorsed by Yamaha Acoustic Guitars and Ernie Ball Music Man Electric Guitars and it was just announced that Lyric has been nominated for BEST YOUNG SONGWRITER at the Toronto Independent Music Awards.1 of 5 chosen for this honor!

It goes without saying that Rivenmaster is not just a supporter of Lyric and now the boys in the band, but also a fan! Rest assured that this group of guys will be going far both here at home and globally. For Lyric Dubee this is everything and more than I predicted he would become!
