Just a tip based on my experience, as I am testing some VPS from Digital Ocean, setting up LAMP with phpmyadmin. Then when configuring the phpmyadmin U.I. it prompts that you don't have permission to access. To resolve your issue you need to add your Pubic IP address on the config. You need to locate the file phpmyadmin.conf and modify the link below:

Allow from localhost 127.0.0.1 YourPublicIP

Once edited save the file and restart the apache to take effect. You can now test it.

Bash Script On Fedora 30 Server

Just a guide on how to create a bash script to avoid more research on the net. Since I'm trying to create a script on one of my client-server which is using Fedora 30. To start with

1. Create a bash script file with .sh extension on /usr/bin

vi script.sh

2. Write the script on my example this will run a command each time you restart the server:

#! /bin/bash

cd /location{folder}
{command}

Note: remove the {} on the script and put the desire folder and command to execute on the terminal. To test your script via terminal if it working correctly. You can use the following command on terminal:

bash sciptFilename.sh

3. Set executable permission of the script by using typing :

chmod +x scriptname.sh

Once done, time to create a services on your script.

4. Create a new services on /etc/systemd/system

5. Once inside the system folder, create a file by typing on the terminal

 vim script.service

[Unit]

Description = Description of the script

[Service]

Type=System

ExecStart=/bin/bash /bin/bash/Script.sh

[Install]

WantedBy=multi-user.target

6. chmod the service by using this command :

 chmod 644 /etc/systemd/system/script.service

7. add the services on the startup:

 systemctl enable script.service

8. You can check the status of your script by using this command:

 systemctl status script.service

9. Now restart your computer and test it. Hope this help.

Web Development Using Wordpress at Basilan State College a Success

The Isabela ICT Council together with the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) Mindanao Cluster 1 and Basilan State College has successfully conducted the Web Development Workshop Using Wordpress last May 9-13, 2017 at BaSc Amphitheater . More than 78 participants attended the workshop which compose of faculty and students from their ICT College Department and which we break into two batches of workshop.

Mr. RJ Ian Sevilla (me) as their resource speaker during the workshop , who is also a freelance web developer and same time the Vice President of Isabela ICT Council.

Every batch presented their output during the workshop which we select the best web development output (with prizes) and we also categories the choices by faculty and batches of student.

We also conducted final culminating activities which is the graduation day of web development just this morning May 19, 2017 with the representative from DICT MC 1 Mr. Jacob Mohammad and the President of Isabela ICT Council Mr. Michael Jolo.

The Isabela ICT Council together with the City Government of Isabela has successfully hosted the 6 days "Android App Development Training" last March 7, 2017 to April 2, 2017 in collaboration with Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) and Philippine Android Developers Comunity(PADC). More than 30 participants attended the said event from different offices and academe in Isabela City.

Mr. Vac Valmores is the trainer for this event representing PADC and in-charge for android training in Mindanao. My Wordpress Website has been Hack

Just recently my website got hack unknown by the name inam and leave this as a header +ADw-/title+AD4-Hacker By INAM and mess up the widget.

Here’s how to get your site back online fast.

Step 1 – Login to your WordPress dashboard as an administrator and go to Appearance -> Widgets. In my case, the two widgets I was using had been moved to the Inactive Widget box and replaced with a Text Widget in the sidebar.

Step 2 – Open the Text widget and click the Delete link on the bottom left. Once you’ve deleted it, reset your widgets to the way they were prior to the hack.

Step 3 – Next go to settings -> Reading. Change your character encoding back to UTF-8. This will fix any lingering issues with your RSS feed and IE.

Step 4 – Lastly, reset the Site Title & Tagline for your site. The location for this will vary based on your theme. For my site, I selected Appearance -> Themes and then clicked the Customize link for my theme

Now you have your website back, You need to secure the website by changing a new password. I would also recommend this tool/plugin that I found for some security on your WP website.It is called Sucuri Security plugin is a security toolset for security integrity monitoring, malware detection and security hardening.

Mozilla Webmaker at Olivarez College Tagaytay a success

The Mozilla webmaker party at Olivarez College Tagaytay is a success last September 5, 2014. Which was attended by different department from Olivarez College Tagaytay at Computer Laboratory 2. Since they only have 20 system units on their laboratory they created a two batches of participants, one in the morning and the other is in the afternoon. The event discussion is about Introduction Mozilla which was discuss by Me, The second lecturer discussed and demo "Thimble" by Mr. Ian Mark Martin and lastly Mr. Leo Caisip which discussed about "Popcorn Maker", Both attended the Mozilla PH orientation for web maker mentor last August 16, 2014 at Mozilla Community Space Manila. The event ended at exactly 4:00pm as mostly in afternoon participated by the nursing department.

We also distributed some Mozilla Swag (Bollard, Mozilla Sticker, Mozilla Tatoos and Mozilla Pins) for participants after the event. As part of the successfull event, based on their survey they are requesting for another event semilar to this. but internet on the school is not that stable during that day but still we managed to make the event successfull.

Intro To Mozilla at Olivarez College Tagaytay a success

After a long leave as a Remo because of relocating from different location in Philippines, Finally I organized again an event which is Introduction to Mozilla at Olivarez College (OC) Tagaytay as the first event in OC Tagaytay which was also a successful one, last Friday (August 29, 2014) wherein I talk more about Mozilla, Product and presence in the Philippines.The event started at 2:00pm in the afternoon and mostly participants are from the different department in Olivarez College Tagaytay but 40% from the crowd are from the IT Department and this is also one of their kick-off event before Software Freedom Day 2014 which will be on September 27, 2014. As another objectives of this event, was to create a FSA chapter in their school wherein it is also a successful one as they are willing to create one in their school. The event ended around 4:00pm with group picture taking.

I just updated my wordpress website to version 3.9 codename “Smith” in honor of African-American jazz musician Jimmy Smith, WordPress 3.9 is supposed to give users a better understanding of how their content will look once it is published. The team has put together a video to show it off:

Online Libel in PH are now legal

The Philippines’ Supreme Court ruled on the CyberCrime Prevention Act of 2012, or RA 10175, and the constitutionality of most of its provisions. Punishing online libel was declared constitutional.

The CyberCrime law can now be implemented by authorities after being held off for two years.
