Dr. Dan Clark, RMD VP Music and Performance, has pulled off another fabulous success. The very talented Rick Spencer, BHS Director of Music and Education, kicked things off Friday night teaching our Everyman Chorus "Bye Bye Blues", one of our two Everyman Chorus songs to be sung on the Saturday night show. On Saturday, with the education classes officially underway, many quartets took the opportunity to be coached by some great talent, including the members of Realtime, our guest quartet. There was something for everyone... arranging, directing, chorus presentation, vocal production... even Barberpole University for those wanting to prove their skill with the Polecats (and support Youth In Harmony in the process). Good food, comfortable accomodations, an unbeatable setting... did I mention our RMD Store, fully stocked and manned (womanned?) by the lovely Paige Faubion?

The weekend was capped with an awesome show Saturday night... starting with our Everyman Chorus and all of our coached quartets... capped by an amazing assembly of RMD and International quartet talent - our current RMD quartet champs the Summit, 2004 RMD champs NeXus, 2005 RMD champs Ignition!, 2002 RMD champs and current 3rd place Bronze Medal International champs Storm Front, and the 2005 Gold Medal International Quartet Champions Realtime. And, if that wasn't enough, a very enjoyable afterglow into the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Can't wait for 2009.

noreply@blogger.com (James M.
