Com a implantação da fábrica da &lt;b&gt;Peugeot-Citroën&lt;/b&gt; em Porto Real (RJ), &lt;b&gt;Habib &lt;/b&gt;se tornou presidente da &lt;b&gt;Citroën do Brasil&lt;/b&gt;, ocupando a função até o ano de 2008. Experiência não lhe falta. Apesar de disputado, o mercado brasileiro é muito atraente e oferece ganhos consideráveis a bons investidores. Ainda em 2008, &lt;b&gt;Habib &lt;/b&gt;viajou até a China para conhecer as montadoras de automóveis locais, encontrando algumas fábricas modernas, bem estruturadas e socioambientalmente responsáveis - a exemplo da &lt;b&gt;JAC Motors&lt;/b&gt;. Por outro lado, deparou-se com outras fábricas pouco estruturadas e não muito preocupadas com a qualidade. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Em entrevista ao &lt;i&gt;Economia e Negócios&lt;/i&gt;, da &lt;i&gt;TV Record&lt;/i&gt;, &lt;b&gt;Sergio Habib&lt;/b&gt; fala de sua experiência no ramo automobilístico e também, com relação aos automóveis chineses fabricados pela &lt;b&gt;JAC &lt;/b&gt;(pronuncia-se "Djéc" Motors) e trazidos por ele ao nosso país, começando pelo hatch &lt;b&gt;J3&lt;/b&gt; e pelo sedã &lt;b&gt;J3 Turin&lt;/b&gt;. O plano para o Brasil é ambicioso e &lt;b&gt;Habib&lt;/b&gt; destacou algumas coisas interessantes em seu discurso, enfatizando o design italiano dos modelos da &lt;b&gt;JAC &lt;/b&gt;e da utilização de peças e componentes produzidos por empresas de destaque internacional, como a &lt;b&gt;Delphi &lt;/b&gt;e a &lt;b&gt;Bosch&lt;/b&gt;. Uma peça que integra o párachoque e a grade. Muitos não perceberam mas o párachoque recebeu uma leve modificação, leve mesmo. A parte inferior, onde antes ostentava 2 filetes na horizontal, agora tem apenas 1. A superfície do párachoque também ficou mais lisa, principalmente na área da placa de licença. Por fim, a grade ganhou a aparência que caracteriza os carros da &lt;b&gt;Chevrolet &lt;/b&gt;atualmente, com uma barra horizontal na cor do carro e uma enorme gravata dourada. Assim como no &lt;b&gt;SP2&lt;/b&gt;, a &lt;b&gt;Brasília &lt;/b&gt;ganhou um desenho um pouco diferenciado, com intuito de deixá-la mais agressiva. A "personalização" ficou por conta de párachoques envolventes, de desenho mais esportivo e ponteiras de escape bem grandes. Fora isso, o teto parece estar levemente rebaixado assim como as "suspensões" que, juntamente com as enormes rodas de cinco raios, deu uma aparência interessante à pequena &lt;b&gt;VW Brasília&lt;/b&gt;. A miniatura é feita pela &lt;b&gt;Minichamps&lt;/b&gt; e é bastante fiel à &lt;b&gt;Hilux &lt;/b&gt;1:1! A miniatura pode ser encontrada por algo em torno dos R$ 100,00 ou R$ 150,00... Essa era uma época em que as duas empresas formavam uma &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;joint&lt;/span&gt;-&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;venture&lt;/span&gt;, a &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Autolatina &lt;/span&gt;(composição: 49% &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Ford &lt;/span&gt;e 51% &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;VW&lt;/span&gt;). Vasculhando minha coleção de recortes de jornais da época, achei essas ilustrações feitas pela &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Folha de São Paulo&lt;/span&gt; em seu caderno Veículos. É claro que foram ilustrações feitas no 'chutômetro', com base em poucas informações. É uma tarefa muito difícil para jornalistas e mídia especializados buscarem informações 100% exatas sobre futuros lançamentos. Com algumas informações, se chega a uma conclusão. A &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Folha de São Paulo&lt;/span&gt; foi incisiva, conforme trecho da matéria a seguir:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(153, 153, 153);"&gt;"Está confirmado. A Ford lança um novo carro pequeno no país, no final de 95. Vai ser derivado do novo Gol, que a Volkswagen apresenta oficialmente depois de junho e começa a vender a partir de agosto em suas revendas."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Desde o surgimento da &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Autolatina&lt;/span&gt;, em 1987, a &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;VW &lt;/span&gt;compartilhou os motores AP assim como a plataforma do &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Santana/Quantum&lt;/span&gt; com a &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Ford&lt;/span&gt;, resultando no &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Versailles/Royale&lt;/span&gt;. Já os alemães aproveitaram a parceria para lançar o &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Apollo &lt;/span&gt;- que era praticamente igual ao &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Verona, &lt;/span&gt;apresentado em 1989 -  e a dupla &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Pointer/Logus&lt;/span&gt;, baseados na geração seguinte do &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Escort/Verona&lt;/span&gt;. A &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;VW&lt;/span&gt; também chegou a utilizar motores da &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Ford&lt;/span&gt;. Segundo a matéria da Folha, a &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Ford &lt;/span&gt;queria fazer um carro com alguma personalidade, objetivando diferenciá-lo do &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Gol&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(153, 153, 153); font-weight: bold;"&gt;"O modelo, ainda sem nome definido, está sendo desenvolvido no estúdio Ghia, na Itália, e terá a mesma plataforma, mecânica e motorização do novo Gol..." Há quem diga que esse foi o estopim da separação.
